  • Are there any 3rd party tools which provide Microsoft Azure IaaS diagnostics?

Are there any 3rd party tools currently, which can be used for giving detailed diagnostics Information about the IaaS environment (like on VM's, Virtual Network etc.) in a detailed report format periodically? Please note that I am looking for any such tools
around IaaS environment diagnostics here, and not about Application diagnostics.

    Hi Bahree,
Microsoft does not suggest  a specific third-party product. However, we do use them, and see lots of other customers use them.
Paraleap: Monitoring tool - http://www.paraleap.com/AzureWatch , You may browse to these site and few others to learn more, and chat with their folks directly on how they support Windows Azure.
I see that Microsoft has published a self-help diagnostic package for running Windows-based virtual machines (VMs) in Azure IaaS and this this diagnostic package does not require opening a Support Request with
    Microsoft
This package helps to diagnose and resolve common issues on running Windows-based VMs in Azure IaaS
We may download the diagnostic package from Microsoft's Support Diagnostics Self-Help Portal:

  • Are there any new RESTful SDK related planned for 4.1 SP3 release

    Gurus,
Recently i saw the SAP BusinessObjects BI4.1 SP03 What’s new guide. But did not find anything about RESTful SDK on it.
Are there any new RESTful SDK related planned for 4.1 SP3 release? where can i find those information.
    Thanks,
    Tilak

    @Terry,
    In SP3 we are releasing
    1) Major feature which is the ability to GET/POST/PUT/DEL input controls
    2) Also we are delivering helpers to GET/POST/PUT/DEL any kind of table in a given report, so a consummer who wants to add a table just has to submit the xml describing the table instead of the XML describing the entire report. (includes ranking)
    3) GET datapath of a given Report Element
    4) GET dataset of a report Report Element
    5) GET/PUT LOV of a Data Object
    6) GET/POST/PUT/DEL Custom Property for a given Report Element
    7) GET/POST/DEL a webi document as zip (create a zip file containing the webi document html + images, then retrieve it, or delete it)
All this is documented in the WebI REST SDK Online Guide that will be made availble by when the SP3 is released to customers.

  • Are there any new All-in-one printers for sale that use the CLI-221 cartridges?

We have a MX870 Printer that needs to be replaced but new cartridges were just purchased from Canon.  Are there any new All-in-one printers for sale that use the CLI-221 cartridges?
    Thanks,
    Margaret

The MX922 (known as the MX926 in Australia) is supported by 10.10 and Windows 7. Whatever site you were looking at may not have updated their details. Here is a link from the Canon Australia web site showing the drivers and applications for this model for 10.10.

  • Are there any magazines with articles and tips for Encore - English language

Are there any magazines with articles and tips for Encore - English language

The very best "chronicle" on Encore that I can come up with is Jeff Bellune's Focal Easy Guide to Adobe EncoreDVD 2.0, Focal Press. It was written for EncoreDVD 2.0, but everything in it applies to CS4. Now, as of CS4, Adobe Dynamic Link to PrPro has been greatly improved and strengthened, and that part will have to come from the Help files. The book is still the best resource for 99% of Encore, and I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed. It is an invaluable reference, whether you have EnDVD 2.0, CS3 or CS4.
As for magazine articles, Encore is mentioned in some, but I do not recall any specific to the program. Same for books on DVD/BD authoring. I have several, that use Encore for some examples, and other authoring programs for others.
The closest thing that we have to the PrPRo-Wiki, mentioned in your thread in the PrPro forum, is the wonderful set of Encore FAQ's on this forum. Jeff Bellune and Neil Wilkes have done a great job of rebuilding those, and most were lost, when the forum underwent a major changeover about 1.5 years ago.
Next, just reading this forum will help one learn how to do much in Encore, and also how to solve any problems.
One other asset that needs to be pointed out is the link in this ARTICLE to Jim Taylor's DVD FAQ. His book, DVD Demystified, by McGraw Hill, will tell you everything that you would ever want to know about DVD/BD, and his FAQ site will cover most of the important info.
Great reading in each of those. That is not an all-inclusive list, but all that I can think of for now.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

Are there any magazines with articles and tips for AE - English language

I'm afraid not. Mags like Computer Arts and others have occasional articles interspersed or specials (Computer Arts Projects) but if you want my opinion: You can find much better resources online. Most of these print articles are really quite generic and aimed e.g. at 3D artists who only do the occasional piece of work in AE...

  • Are there any diagnostic utilities tool to test the MSI mainboard

    Hi,
I am using MSI 875P mainboard, because of built in sound driver "SoundMax Drivers " not been detected in WinXP system.
One expected reason, the built in sound driver may spoil.
Are there any way or utilities tool to verify or diagnostic the built in components
    for this mainboard.
    Kindly advise. Thank you.

As far as I know there are no standard SSH VIs anywhere. At least at the time that I started this thread there were not. I came up with a solution that I have been using ever since using the program Plink that is installed with Putty. Please take a look at the VI I have attached. It is pretty straight forward. You enter the location of plink.exe, the username, the password, and the host and you can send any command and get a response just as if you were connected via an SSH client. It has been working great for years. Let me know if you have any questions about it.

  • Are there any examples of queres or reports for the Access DB TS can generate?

I am currently useing the default TestStand SPC database storage routine to store the results of all runs. Are there any tools, queries, reports, etc. to help me post process this database? I thought I would check here before making something myself. Mainly looking for something that will do a scatter plot for a certian test so I can see where all the data is falling within the limits.

Currently NI does not have any post processing tools to assist you in formating the result information specifically for TestStand databases. Obviously using LabVIEW or LW/CVI or some other programming language you could write your own program to do such post processing.

  • Are there any apple sanctioned stylus or brushes for ipad2?

I am looking for a stylus or brush for my ipad2 and would like one that is apple sanctioned. I don't want a wacom tablet, but are there any brushes or styluses that are backed by Apple?

As an illustrator and designer, I would be using the ipad2 more as a digital sketchpad or digital canvas for my work. Since so many artists and designers use apple products, I am just wondering why apple doesn't have styluses or brushes that they sanction. I would much rather pay more for something that apple makes than for a third party item. Ideally, I am looking for a stylus that draws and a brush that paints with the same speed and ease of the real thing. Is there anything out there that can draw/paint directly onto the Ipad2?

  • Are there any project analysis tools to optimize a project?

So, our devs use Coverity (http://www.coverity.com) to scan their code to look for problem areas they can refactor. My boss asked me if there are something out there like that but for documentation projects. I know RH offers the Tools | Reports, but I'm worndering if there are Adobe or 3rd party tools out there that can analyze a RH documentation project in the background to provide you with a list of items to fix or improve. I'm also looking for something that checks a documentation project for duplicate paragraphs, that we could then rewrite as snippets.
For example, MadCap's Flare has an Analyzer tool: http://www.madcapsoftware.com/products/analyzer/
Is anyone aware of tools like this that works with RH projects?

I am not aware of any tool that does what you want with RoboHelp but I wonder if there are such tools more readily available for Word. If there are, you could generate a printed document and work with that.
Please follow this link and submit a feature request. Make sure you mention Flare has such a tool, albeit a chargeable extra.

  • Are there any real discounts when signing on for a second year?

The reason I ask is I've been paying around £27 a month for my first year and I was going to cancel as obviously the price is about to jump for me and it's just a little too much for our current budget. However when I clicked the button a message popped up suggesting I speak to a CS representative to see if I qualified for any special offers. The conversation went like this...
You are now chatting with Narender. To ensure we stay connected throughout our interaction , please don't click on the 'x' in the chat window. Doing so will disconnect our chat session.
Narender: Hello! Welcome to Adobe Customer Service.
    Narender: Hi Lisa.
    Lisa: Hello
Narender: How may I help you today?
Lisa: My Creative Cloud membership is about to expire and I was wondering if I qualify for any special offers or discounts as I don't plan to renew at the higher rate currently.
Narender: Thank you for the information.
Narender: Please stay online  while I pull up your records.
Narender: I see that the payment has not gone through in this case I request you to update the card details.
    Narender: Sorry for the typo.
Lisa: No sorry I think you misunderstand, my membership to creative cloud expires in a few days and I plan to cancel. However when I click to cancel I got the message "We'd hate to see you go! Did you know you might be qualified for special offers to continue your Creative Cloud membership? Discuss your options right now with an Adobe representative by live chat." So I thought I would see if there were any special offers before I cancel.
    Narender: https://creative.adobe.com/plans
Narender: Please use the link for the purchase information.
So not quite what I was asking. Rather than wasting more time I thought I'd ask if anyone knows if there's anyway of getting a discount for a second year or if there are any offers? I think that message has probably got my hopes up for nothing but wanted to double check.

As the £27, was an introductory offer. Upon the completion of one year, the price will change to the normal creative cloud cost which is at £46.88. However if you have the previous versions of the creative suites like CS 3, 4, 5, 5.5 or the CS 6. You can avail the offer at £27.34 per month incl. VAT. However this Requires annual commitment; billed monthly.
