Are there any tools or apps that would allow the use of iMessage from a desktop

I am curious to see if there are currently any apps for programs that would allow me to use iMessage from my desktop pc at this time.

There are many a thousands of people who are producingvideos on completed DVDs. I have 4 latest Macs All have iDVD. The question was not where to get iDVD.

I appreciate your input but it realy does not answer the question. iDVD will soon not be able to work with newer versions of Macs as it has been left behind by Apple!

Imovie cannot do this. More importantly imovie cannot save the project to Video_TS folders like iDVD did.

More importantly imovie cannot save the project to Video_TS folders like iDVD did. Something for folks like myself who need this to burn to our multi burning DVD all in one printers!!

Is there an alarm/reminders app that would allow me to add reminders on specific days throughout the month?

The basics is - I work nightshift so I would want an alarm to wake me up before my shift, wake me up after my shift and wake me up at a certain time on my day off. Rather than doing it week by week - is there an app that would let me make alarms/reminders for the full month to save time and effort?

Are there ANY memos/notes apps that will sync with Mac, NOT "cloud"?

In desperation I got BlueMarbleSOftware.com's "Memos" app to move memos from my now defunct Palm to my iPhone. I then discover that "Memos" can't create a new category on the iPhone. Grr. It also uses a Google Files account to move them. I keep sensitive information in my memos and I'm NOT going to put that out in the "Cloud". So, this isn't working out well.
My question:
Is there ANY iPhone/OS X application pair out there that will allow me to sync my notes/memos to my Mac and not to the Cloud? iTunes is a pretty poor sync mechanism since it can only allow me access to iTunes type stuff. iCal, while not very good, at least syncs with the calendar on the iPhone and contacts also sync with OSX. However, nothing that I can find will sync notes with the Mac directly. Has anyone out there found something that will? I'm happy to pay for it if it DOESN'T go through the "Cloud".
I love my iPhone's capabilities, but Apple's restrictions on its use are dimming my enthusiasm a bit about the iPhone being a killer "do everything" box.

This sounds ideal - My read of it wasn't perfectly clear - Does it sync through the USB cable that the Apple sync uses or though a wireless connection? How good is the Mark/Space notes app? Apple's notes doesn't allow grouping by category, everything goes into one place, is the M/S notes app better than that?

Are there any third party apps for Mavericks outside the Apple store?

I am looking for a way to highlight / color code the full file or folder name. Mavericks changed my color codes to small dots, worthless. Are there still such things as "helper" apps or "plug-ins" that change the way finder behaves, or has Apple locked down Mavericks such that only approved apps from the App Store at iTunes are what is available?

What you can do is use any of the flash browser applications (search under those terms in the App Store) which all work in varying ways and with varying degrees of success on different types of Flash content. All are free, I think, and you might have to play around a bit to find which one might work (and again, it's possible that none will) with the specific kind of thing that you're most interested in seeing.

I have an iPod Touch but I currently don't have a PC. I found an app that would allow me to connect to my network drive and I was able to transfer music files to it. These files do not show under the Music app and I can't find any way to do it.

Android doesn't have this problem, any music I put on my phone is recognized as music and can be played through any of the music apps. Am I missing something or is Apple to inflexible to handle this?

You can't. The only way to get songs in the Music app is to sync from a computer or to download from iTunes.

Are there any tools from NI can generate the pass-through layer (IVI class driver) for IVI class specific driver?

IVI class driver (layer) will provide interchangeable feature for a IVI class specific driver. It would work as a pass-through layer and finally make calls to the IVI class specific driver. Since there could be a lot of functions to be passed through. Are there any tools from NI (Labwindows/CVI or Labview) can do this ?

Yes, I did. To support interchangability, from my understanding of the IVI specs, there should be another layer IVI-C class driver on top of this IVI class specific driver. As in the IVI‑3.1: Driver Architecture Specification:
Although IVI‑C class drivers export inherent,

for a few inherent functions and attributes defined exclusively for class
drivers, class driver functions and attributes provide a pass‑through layer to
the IVI‑C specific driver. An IVI‑C specific driver is responsible for

with the instrument. The IVI‑C specific instrument driver contains the
information for controlling the instrument, including the command strings,

So where is this IVI-C class driver and how is it created and communicate with my class specific driver?

Encrypting a password is itself not secure. Anything that can be encrypted can be decrypted. That is why Oracle itself DOES NOT encrypt passwords.

Here's what Oracle does with passwords, and what others should be doing if they have to store them.
When the password is created, the presented password - clear text - is concatenated with the username. The resulting character string is then passed through a one-way hashing function. It is that hashed value that is stored. Then when a user presents his credentials to log on to the system, the presented credentials are combined and hashed in the same manner as when the password was created, and the resulting hash value compared to the stored value.

tried to use ttsize function, but it gives some senseless results – for example, for the biggest table, tokens, it produces following output (that this table is 90GB in size – what physically cannot be true):

Are you able to use the command line version of ttSize instead? This splits out how much space is being used by indexes (in the Temp section of the TT memory segment), which I think is being combined into one, whole figure in the procedure version of ttSize you're using. For example:
ttSize -tbl ia my_ttdb
Rows = 4
Total in-line row bytes = 17524
Total = 17524
Command> create index i1 on ia(a);
ttSize -tbl ia my_ttdb;
Rows = 4
Total in-line row bytes = 17524
Indexes:

In 11.2.2 we added the procedure ttComputeTabSizes which populates system tables with detailed table size data, and was designed to be an alternative to ttSize. Unfortunately it still doesn't calculate index usage though, and it isn't in 11.2.1.

I don't believe it will open a Word document, but Writepad allows for handwritten conversion of notes to text and then to email. Might help you some of the way...
