Are there any tutorials out yet?

The window looks simple enough, in that I am familiar with iMovie 11, but no doubt will need a tutorial or ten. Has anyone offered any video tutorials, like Lynda.com or???

I bought the Ripple training and am watching it now, piece by piece. It is very helpful, and I am really impressed by the delivery to iTunes. That allowed me to make a data dvd of the quicktime movie files, as well as make a playlist and watch in iTunes.
The (relatively) low cost was also a nice touch.
I get the problems the pros have, but as a home consumer, I am blown away by FCPX.
It is obviously something that is, under the hood, just really complicated and demands that one both spend a lot of time playing around getting experience, and getting some sort of tutorial.
The tutorials go a little fast for me, so I am keeping a piece of paper next to the mouse and am copying down info as needed, but am sure it will come together by Apple's first update.

Apple's iOS platform (iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch) has never, and will never support flash.
First on this; Thoughts on Flash. This is from Steve Jobs regarding Apple's views on Flash (2010)
Second; Adobe stops making Flash for mobile devices. This is from Adobe themselves last year stating that they would stop making Flash for mobile devices.
If you can find the App equivalent of the programs you are looking for, then congratulations, however, if you require specific 'programs' requiring flash, then the iPad is certainly not for you, and returning it would be the best choice (granted you are still within the return period).

You have two options:
One get the OE creation script from some other Oracle install and install them on the XE database.

Or just use HR tables instead - most of the tutorials simply use a master details relationship - so in OE it is usually the customer who has order - and you can adopt it to the HR schema using the departments that has employees.
Don't know about the XE license, you might want to ask this on the XE forum.

Are there any applications out there that control process affinity?

I am wondering if there are any programs out there that can control process affinity (set the priority of the process) in mac os x. I know i can use terminal to do it. But I am looking for a program that can tell me what the affinity of all my processes are set to, and easily change the affinity.

I highly recommend starting with one of the Logic tutorial DVD's that actually show and tlak you through things, like the Martin Sitter ones, which will get you started.
Failing that, a friend who's knowledgable in the ways of Logic to help you set it up on your system for your own workflow is the absolute best way.

Are there any tutorials for JDeveloper with Oracle XE?

I have downloaded a tutorial for JDeveloper over Oracle.
In this it uses a connection to the OE (Oracles order entry database?), however it does not contain this database in the XE version.
There is however a HR (Human resources) database which I made some connection to, but this mean you cannot realy follow the whole tutorial, which is the point of a tutorial.
Also I read that the License to XE expires the end of next Jan, so that dosent give me much time to check it out.

The interactivity in a folio and that of an interactive PDF only overlap
in very small areas. There is no way to convert a folio to PDF.

Are there any tutorials on making animated gifs in flash, from a video?

I have an avi video file that i'd like to make into an animated gif in flash. How do I go about doing this? I know there is an option in photoshop where you can import the video frames onto layers. Is there something similar in flash?

that try/catch was just a lazy way to get passed the compiler for this tiny test program. on Sun, both
x = new String(bytes, 0, 2, "ISO-8859-1" );and
x = new String(bytes );produced the same incorrect result. Sun's default is US-ASCII, so it looks like something either wasn't set right, either in the code, or in the OS, or in the java invocation, that it made both ISO-8859-1 and US-ASCII the same or that ISO-8859-1 doesn't even exists and it reverted back to the default. it didn't throw exception, that i know, otherwise, x would not have been set.
Might there be something in the OS or jvm that might relate to ISO-8859-1 support?

Just got the Belkin adapter at Best Buy this morning. Works great. You can use any headphones, use it in the car with a line-in and I will also be able to use my iPod Shuffle in the pool using a dry bag and waterproof headphones.

Are there any geniuses out there who know airport problems?

I have an SBC 2wire dsl modem hooked to a PC by cable and a mac with airport in my room. The Mac does not see the 2wire. Airport works because I have picked up neighbors' wireless signals (syslink) and the 2 wire works because a neighbor came over with his pc and it picked up the signal. I spent 3 hours with SBC experts and did everything they could think of with no luck. Is there a solution to this?
