Are there copyright restrictions?

Are there copyright restrictions to my creating a document using a Pages Template, if I keep the image originally in the template? Is there a restriction on my selling something that contains the original template image? I have created a large poster to sell for a fund raiser for our non-profit program. The poster contains text and other art work of my creation, but the original image from the template is the illustration. I want to make sure I am not in infringement before I sell these pieces under the name of our non-profit.
I read the Pages license agreement (it is Pages '09 version 4.0.5 (852)) and only found this statement:
"You may not use, extract or distribute, commercially or otherwise, on a standalone basis, any photographs, images, graphics, artwork or similar assets (“Digital Imagery”) contained within, or provided as a part of, the Apple Software, or otherwise use the Digital Imagery outside the context of its intended use as part of the Apple Software." (page 1, section 2.f)
"Outside the intended use" sounds like it means what I've done, created something using Pages and templates, right?
Any ideas welcome ... or does Apple need to tell me for sure?

Well I am no lawyer so don't take any of this as set in stone. I would contact Apple directly if you feel you have to use the images. However, my 2¢ worth would be that the images are Image Placeholders and therefore are meant to be replaced. So using them as a finished project, in my mind, would be using them Outside the intended use.

I expect that this distinction is caused by the Event Hub retention policy. Our job may be failing because because the start time falls below the Event Hub retention window, and we do not support that scenario...
I am afraid I would still recommend putting the data into a blob for back-testing --- you can use the same query and everything!
Or, of course, adjust the dates in your sample data...

Are there restrictions on Mp4 for HDS streaming

I am new to Adobe media player, so please bear with my ignorance.
I am able to HDS play some MP4 videos but for some others I get a 400 Bad request (from logs).
my player video src looks like http://<server>/hds-vod/somemedia.mp4.f4m.
Are there any restrictions how the MP4 file should be encoded or am I looking at the issue from the wrong side?

I would love to know what's going on with https sites, as well. I just got a new Macbook Pro and was organizing my topsites the way I like them. On my iMac and my Air, a certain https site sits just fine pinned to topsites. But for whatever reason, I cannot get it to stay on this machine. I'll add it, it'll be there, I'll come back after quitting Safari and it's gone.
The crazy part is other https sites (like Facebook) stay pinned just fine. Aggravating, because this particular one is my #1 topsite.

We created quite a few reports in Crystal Reports (like invoice, deliverynote, picklist etc.).
When we connect some reports in SBO (layout- and design manager) they do not show any data. Only text fields are shown.
In these reports we use tables, UDF and Views. We also have subreports.
The reports are working fine in Crystal itself and also when using Crystal Wave (add-on). All parameters are set the right way, otherwise we would become a parameter error.
We did a test with one of the reports to remove the subreport and then it did show data (not the data from the subreport of course).
Another report with tables, UDF, views and a subreport doesn't give an error. It shows all the data.
So I was wondering what could cause this. Are there any restrictions to a report when connecting a Crystal Report to SBO using the layout- and design manager.

Do you maybe have inner joins for all of your tables and views?
Maybe it's a parameter issue causing no rows to be displayed. Did you test the exact DocEntry@ for your layouts?
No, from my experience I have not seen any limits when using SBO and CR inside the client.

2010 Normal search are there restrictions on certain crawled properties ows_FileDirRef and ows_FileRef

When querying the search.asmx web service (just default SharePoint 2010 search i.e. not FAST) I cannot retrieve the ows_FileDirRef and ows_FileRef field. I can see that the asset library I am querying has values for these fields when using the list
web service.
I need to use the search service as the search gives the user better searching techniques. I just need these field to make some changes to the search results on a bespoke web site i.e. not using the SharePoint interface.
Are there some restrictions to what the search can return as some fields work OK e.g. I created a managed property mapped to the crawled property ows_FileLeafRef and this could be searched and returned in the results OK, however I cannot return the fields
ows_FileDirRef and ows_FileRef even though they are setup the same way as ows_FileLeafRef. It appears that the crawl is the issue as the fields seem to be available for selecting in the search results but with no value.

From your description, you create the managed properties which are mapped to ows_FileDirRef and ows_FileRef , but it returns no values related to the fields in search results.
For your issue, try to re-index your asset library and perform a full crawl.
If the issue still exists, I would like to collect the following information to try to reproduce your issue:
Are they columns which were created by yourselves?
Did you created them in Asset library?
What column type are of the two columns?
Besides, you can check content source log and event viewer log to get the detailed issue.

You may want to try restarting to see if that has any effect Turn your iOS device off and on (restart) and reset

Hi, I'm using the Invoke-PSCommandSample workbook to run a batch file inside a VM.
The batch file inside the VM runs a Java program.
The batch file works fine, when I run it manually in the VM.
However, when I use the Invoke-PSCommandSample workbook to run the batch file, I get the following error:
Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not reserve enough space for object heap
errorlevel=1
Press any key to continue . . .
Does anybody know if there are any memory restrictions when invoking commands inside a VM via runbook?

What restrictions are there when downloading Premiere Pro CS7

I would like to know if there are any restrictions to the trial software such as missing codecs when exporting or the inability to dynamic link to After Effects for example. Are there any others? It would be nice to be able to assess the software thoroughly before buying.

They appear to be. My After Effects is installed through the CC and is working fine. So too is Premiere Pro. They both work independently of each other but one of the big reasons for me switching to Adobe PP is the fact that I'm supposed to be able to easily, and without losing data, switch between AE and PP and back again and it'd be nice to see how it works in practice.

Total of internal lengths of all primary key columns        1024 Bytes
Number of primary key columns per table                     512

Limiting access to copyright-restricted material on a web server

Hello Folks,
I know this is close in topic to some other recent discussions but please indulge me here.
I have access to a stand-alone web server running OS X 10.5 server. I need to limit access to some copyrighted material on that web server to staff and students of our institution. There is a LDAP database available. The xserve is not currently running Open Directory. On almost any other Apache 2.2.x server, I would probably use a auth-ldap type module but OS X 10.5 doesn't have this.
I know very little about this topic but it seems my options are to compile a new version of Apache with the required modules or to start Open Directory, connect to the ldap database and create a new group of Auth_Users (30,000 records in the LDAP database)and use Realms.
Is this correct? If both options are valid, are there good reasons for going for one rather than the other? Any good documentation out there?

No, it has something better.
Since Mac OS X can plug into a number of directory systems (Active Directory, Open Directory, BSD Files, etc.), Apple included the modauthapple which plugs into that system.
Therefore whatever authentication system(s) your Mac is set to use will filter down into Apache.
So step 1 is to join your Mac to the Authentication system (via /Applications/Utilitiy/Directory Utility)
Step 2 is to enable modauthapple
Step 3 is to use Server Admin to define your realm and choose the group from the directory.

1. i had faced same problem.
2. Virtually the limit in SELECT-OPTION low
   is not the problem.
3. The problem is with SQL query and database limit.
4. The R/3 system generates final database query
   in the form of (for select option)
   FIELD IN ('ABC','DEF','XYZ',........'')
5. Now Oracle/SqlServer
   has limit of THESE IN VALUES.
   limit is something in 2500 approx.
6. So your approach will not work
using IN.
   It will always give error when
   entries are more.
7. SOLUTION which i did.
   1. First select all appropriate records from
      master table in your itab
     (without using IN select option clause)
2. After that use this concept.
     Loop at ITAB.
     If Itab-Field in SelectOption.
     Else.
     DELETE ITAB.
     ENDIF.
The above will take care for any number of records.
