Are there differences between Solaris 8 and Solaris 2.6 in the way web pages are displayed for Chinese and Korean text using UTF-8 settings?

A user is running a web application on Solaris Release 2.6 with UTF-8. After the server was updated to Solaris 8, the application is experiencing problems with webpages containing Korean and Chinese text. The encoding is UTF-8. Has anyone experienced this problem? I checked the packages installed on Solaris 8 and they are consistent with what was installed on Solaris 2.6. Could this possibly be a patch-level problem? Thank you.

It could be a problem with the necessary patche updation. refer the following FTP site for the Solaris pathces.
connect through the FTP cleint to sunsolve.sun.com
/pub/patches directory contains a lot of patches for solaris.
Find and install the corresponding patch require to solve your problem.

In general, Apple does Not support your using any downloads from their video card Manufacturer's websites. Apple provides you with all of the firmware and driver Updates from Nvidea that they feel are stable with Apple's hardware and logic board in the iMac. The required Updates are provided to you by the OS X Updates Apple periodically provides. iMacs are NOT like a PC in this manner. You do not have to and should not be downloading software from the nVidea site.

I group messaged from my ipad and this has screwed up the way my messages are reveived by my friends (it creates new threads in their phones with my email in place of my contact name) I've stopped messaging from my ipad but the problem remains. Any help?

I have an iPhone 4S and use the group texting feature ALL THE TIME. I recently updated my iPad to the latest software and made the colossal mistake of continuing my group messaging from my iPad while connected to wifi. Doing this has successfully screwed but every group text thread I am in, to the point where its very hard for those involved in the thread to keep up. When I initially messaged those I was already engaged in text threads with it created a new thread in their phones replacing my name in their phones with my email. At first this was not a big deal but ever since then the people I am messaging have become increasingly frustrated with how my messages come through. If I am messaged in a group text and respond to it, sometimes when I respond it will create an entirely different thread in my recipients phones. So at that point they have to switch threads in order to read what I wrote. The new thread that my phone creates will send the message under my email not my name (related to the contact they have me saved as in their phones). The worst part about it is that there seems to be no rhyme or reason to why or when my phone will send the message as normal or under my email like it did with my iPad. I haven’t messaged from my iPad since these problems immediately began a month ago but the issues still continue. I have tried everything to get this to stop, I’ve turned off my wifi, I’ve had my friends delete the threads that my messages create in their phones. I’ve had them delete my email in their contact lists and nothing has worked. Can you help me? Any info you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
Note: My phone message no different whatsoever. All the threads have remained the same. The issue is what it is doing to the people that I am messaging.

I have this identical problem. For a while my group texts didnt show up on my ipad. Then one day they did, maybe everyone in the group started using the same os version or something. Ever since my first reply to the group there have been complaints of multiple threads. I can not find a pattern for when my group text's decide they want to create a new thread. (it doesnt happen every time) Everyone in the group has deleted the thread, we've all toggled imessage on/off etc. There still hasn't been a solution.

The opened web pages are not correct even though the address in the link roperty is correct. The web page opens a blank page and says "Done"

When I search for a web sites, it gives a list of connected web site.
If I click a particular web site, it immediately opens a blank page and says"done" at the bottom of the page. The opened web address is wrong even though the link property shows the correct address.

I rented Iron Man 2 and it stopped 1/4 the way in, got loading message.

Last night I rented iron man 2 hd on my new apple tv and about a quarter of the way in I got a loading message and it took about 20 minutes for it to start playing again. It happened about three more times. I used Netflix and had no issue plus stream stuff from my mac with no issues. It really bumbed me out because I had not seen the movie before and it took baout an hour longer to watch with all the stops. I don't think this was a network issue rather than a glitch in the new rental streaming on iTunes. I would like a refund but I guess that is more hassle than it's worth. I hope this doesn't happen again on my next rental. has anyone else tried a rental with the new apple tv and had this issue?

Consider yourself lucky you even got to watch any of the movie! I rented Avatar last night in HD and it said it would be ready in 229 minutes. Yeah. Streaming wise the Xbox 360 has them beat hands down. I can hit play on there in HD and it starts to play almost instantly.

What is not clear to me is, do I accomplish "privacy settings" and "delete browsing history" within the Firefox web site or do I do this offline through Windows 7 "internet settings". The Firefox tab (upper left) does not offer the menu choices that your instructions refer to. My laptop (offline) "internet settings" refer to Internet Explorer settings (which I am not using) so it's not clear that changes in my preferences are affecting Firefox (or just Internet Explorer)

Is there difference between NI VISA and HP VISA?

Now I am using Labview 5.1 to compile a program for an oscilloscope (HP 54110D), and the cable connecting the instrument with PC is GPIB/USB interface. I tried to run the driver downloaded from NI, but it didn�t work. The driver used GPIB as Instrument I/O in the driver. I decide to use Labview VISA to complete it. I know the oscilloscope supports HP VISA, not GPIB. The Agilent Company suggests using VISA. I am sure that the instrument support HP VISA. I don�t know whether HP instrument support NI VISA? Is there difference between two VISAs

As Gerd responded, you have a choice of APIs to communicate over GPIB when using LabVIEW - the built-in GPIB (NI-488.2) functions or the VISA functions. VISA is the recommended API for all instrument drivers. But if you have an existing instrument driver for your instrument, just use it, regardless of which API it uses internally.
Which VISA you want really depends on which GPIB controller you have. If the USB-GPIB controller is from NI, then you should have NI-488 and NI-VISA installed. If it is from Agilent, then you should install Agilent I/O Libraries (both SICL and VISA).
LabVIEW will communicate with either version of VISA because they both implement a standard API. That's the whole point. And it doesn't matter from a software per
spective whether the controller and instrument are from the same company.
Also, the fact that the GPIB controller is connected via USB rather than PCI, for example, is actually moot. LabVIEW doesn't know and doesn't care because the program isn't making USB calls, it's making GPIB or VISA calls. It's the lower-level GPIB driver that handles the necessary translations.
I hope this explains things sufficiently.

Disable Photo Stream in iPhoto's preferences and then go back and reenable it. See if that will jump start the process. If that doesn't help try this: make a temporary, backup copy (if you don't already have a backup copy) of the library and try the following:
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your
User/Home()/Library/ Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your
User/Home()/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.

3 - launch iPhoto check its preferences to meka sure all is as you expect and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
