Are there different licensing schemes for WebLogic Server?
Is there different licensing schemes for WebLogic server?
For example,
Is there a licensing scheme to purchase a runtime WLS license so we can run only ADF and BIP?

Check to make sure that the directory in which you have a valid license file
"license.bea" is included in your CLASSPATH.

Are there different php functions for Oracle 8 and 9?
Hi!
Are there different php functions for Oracle 8 and 9?
Thanks for your answer! You can use the oci8* functions for Oracle 8, 9 and 10.
It is the most recent PHP interface to Oracle, and uses Oracle's most recent
API.
The name oci8 comes from the version number of Oracle - version 8 - when
Oracle introduced a new C API. It succeeded the original OCI and got the
common name OCI8. The original OCI now has the common name of OCI7.

Missing license file for: WebLogic Server 6.0
Hi,
You solved your problem, but I still have the same problem when I was using Weblogic
server 6.1 and I try to connect to Oracle 8.17 on my Win2k.
the license.bea file IS in c:\bea, and c:\bea IS included in classpath. the license
for jDriver/Oracle is 5-28.
I do not know why?

Are there different lens corrections for the new and old Nikkor 80-400mm lenses?
Is there a different lens correction for the new NIKKOR 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6G ED lens and the older NIKKOR 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6D lens? The model number box under profile correction seems to make no distinction so it is hard to tell if the right lens is selcted. This would also be important in filtering the lens used so a comparison could be made of the results between the old and new. The EXIF data seems to make no distinction either. The newer model is great!
Thanks! The newer lens is definitely supported - came in with Lr 5.0.

Are there any sequential labs for the Server 2012 Exams?
Virtualbox might work on Win 8.1 home:
https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/DownloadsI have been studying the Server 2012 Videos and doing the online free labs, but they cover different parts of 2012 server. What I would like to get are sequential labs for 70-410, 70-411 and 70-412 so that I may have hands on as well as video and book training. I would even pay for the service. Please let me know if such a thing exists. I guess what I am asking is, can I get what a course wares lab books are also available online.Thank you, I have been using the below link up to this point, it's good practice, but I would really like better structure.https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/virtuallabs?id=f9E0rhsEF74&f=255&MSPPError=-2147217396Thanks

How to install license for Weblogic Server 6.1
Hi,
I downloaded WebLogic Server 6.1, it works fine.
but I want to change the JDBC to Oracle (the default is Cloudscape). I follow the
instructions in page "Installing WebLogic jDriver for Oracle". it looks fine until
"java utils.dbping ORACLE james 1234 DBServer"
it says: Missing license file for: Weblogic Server 6.1.
I found the licese.bea is in c:\bea, I use "updatelicense.cmd" to do it several times,
it still doesn't work.
I am using Win2k and Oracle 8.1.7
Thanks.

Please review the following:
The FMW WebLogic Server (WLS) installation has been configured to use a non-default Java temporary files directory,
i.e. the following has been set in the WebLogic startup or setDomainEnv.sh script:
EXTRA_JAVA_PROPERTIES="-Djava.io.tmpdir=/appl/oracle/temp_java_files ${EXTRA_JAVA_PROPERTIES}"
Reference: How to Change the WebLogic Server Location for Temporary Files (Doc ID 1336002.1)
When the Middleware home was restored the directory specified by java.io.tmpdir parameter was missing,
Therefore an IOException occurred when opening the wallet and WLS was unable to initialize the OPSS successfully.
To resolve the issue re-create the directory specified by the java.io.tmp dir parameter, and make sure the owner and group access are the same as for the FMW installation.
Unable Start AdminServer: JPS-01050: Opening of wallet based credential store failed. Reason java.io.IOException (Doc ID 1923395.1)

Is there any way to start weblogic server with java 7?
Hi. Is there any way to start weblogic server with jdk 1.7?
Hi,
You can start your Weblogic Server with java 7(JDK 1.7)
Go to Domain_home/bin and click on StartWeblogic.cmd it will start your Admin Server
It depends on which JDK you have used while creating domain if you have selected Jdk 1.7 it will use the same to start the server
See the Ex:

However, I note from your post that you are using port 7101, not 7001. Could that be the issue?

I was getting same excepction when tried to configure weblogic server (10.3.3 and 10gR3) through BPM Configuration Wizard, so I end up doing everything manually, like setting up JDBC data sources, JMS Server, JMS Modules and created DB (Directory & Engine).
Now, I am stuck at the last step of deploying the EAR files generated using BPM Process Administrator, they EAR's are generated fine but while deploying them to Weblogic server (through BPM Process Administrator), getting following exception (for "01-eng-bpmengine.ear")

my assumption is JDBC Data Sources or the Directory/Engine database have some column name mismatch.
Let me know if somebody has a solution for this, or if I am doing something wrong.
NOTE: just found out that this happens only on Windows 2003 server, but not on OEL5 (Oracle Enterprise Linux 5).
Thanks !! -
No login command was found for 'WebLogic Server 10.3.5.0 - in managed serve
i am getting following warning when i run my web logic managed server
No login command was found for 'WebLogic Server 10.3.5.0 Fri Apr 1 20:20:06 PDT 2011 1398638 Oracle WebLogic Server Module Dependencies 10.3 Thu Mar 3 14:37:52 PST 2011 Oracle WebLogic Server on JRockit Virtual Edition Module Dependencies 10.3 Thu Feb 3 1.
Would appreciate suggestions to resolve.
Thanks.Hi,
Add -Dweblogic.StdoutDebugEnabled flag while starting the managed server and then post the verbose error message in your next post
For setting the flag follow the below steps
If your using Linux box and not using node manager to start the managed server, add the below line startManagedWebLogic.sh file
JAVA_OPTIONS="-Dweblogic.StdoutDebugEnabled=true ${JAVA_OPTIONS}"
echo "JAVA_OPTIONS=${JAVA_OPTIONS}"
If your using Windows box and not using node manager to start the managed server, add the below line startManagedWebLogic.cmd file
set JAVA_OPTIONS=-Dweblogic.StdoutDebugEnabled=true %JAVA_OPTIONS%
echo JAVA_OPTIONS=%JAVA_OPTIONS%
If you are starting the Managed server through the node manager then use these flags From Admin console : servers >>>. MS1 >>>> server start >>>> Arguments :-Dweblogic.StdoutDebugEnabled=true

EJB was compiled by a different version of the Weblogic Server
I got the following error message when attempt to startup weblogic server to deploy my ejb.
<The EJB deployment named: ejb_test was compiled by a different version of the WebLogic Server.>
<... cannot be redeployed while the server is running ...>
Anybody has any clue about this? TIA.

Exactly what is says. You are deploying an EJB that was compiled with a
different Weblogic version (might be a different SP or a previous
version) that the one you are deploying on. Recompile with the same
version as the deployment and it should be fixed.
<... cannot be redeployed while the server is running ...>
This message is the same. Because you have some of the classes of the EJB
in your server classpath you will not be able to redeploy that EJB but apart
from that it's harmless. To redeploy after changing the EJB you'll have to
restart the server.
