Are there great leather iPad Air Covers yet?

Having recently bought an iPad Air, I've been looking for a leather zippered folio/case cover to no avail.
Has any one found one?
What I've found are old leather cases that the manufacurer has only amended the holding mechanisms
to work with the smaller iPad Air.
So... Like I had a Solo cover for my iPad original. Gorgeous work. They are using the exact same product
meaning the outside footprint is identical to the iPad original, but they have amended the inside to hold an
iPad Air which is smaller than the Original and later versions.
I was hoping to find a zippered leather cover that truly fit the iPad Air and which would then have a smaller
size externally. But I'm not finding that at all.
I get manufacturing and get that just cuz Apple releases a different sized iPad doesn't mean they need to
knee jerk repond and create an iPad Air version. They have for the iPad Mini because it is too much smaller.
But they can easily adapt the 8.5 x 11 folio/covers to fit the smaller iPad Air inside their cases, using the same
old case that they used for the iPad Original. But that leaves us with the same bulky sized case as before.
Has anyone found and can reommend a leathe zippered case built for the iPad Air as opposed to revised to
fit one?
Take a look at the Solo which I owned for my Original and they use the exact same object but change the innards
to hold an iPad Air without reducing the external dimientions a bit. I'm bumbed.
Thanks,
Stevem

Are you talking about an Apple Smart Cover? If so, then there is probably some return policy on it, although I don't know if that is 30 days, or something else.
If you're talking about an iPad cover made by some other company, then you should check their website for warranty information.

  • Are there keystrokes to activate Air Display ?

From time to time, screen on my Windows laptop blacks out, but laptop works fine otherwise. I installed Air Display (and put it in StartUp menu) to use ipad as a second monitor. When my pc screen blacks out ie when I can no longer use touchpad pointer, are there keystrokes to activate Air Display and connect with my ipad ?

I'd suggest looking on the developer's site for information:
    http://avatron.com/support
or contacting their support and asking. I don't see any mention of keyboard shortcuts, but they might have them, or there may be a way to use a keyboard macro generator to do what you want.

  • How do I sync multiple devices on iTunes without apps that are only on an iPad Air not sync on other devices?

How do I sync multiple devices on iTunes (iPad Air & iPhone 5) without apps that are only on an iPad Air not syncing on my iPhone 5? • I have a presentation to make to a customer and need to know how many educational apps are there for the iPad/iPod?

I have a presentation to make to a customer and need to know how many educational apps are there for the iPad/iPod? More specifically special education apps.
    Thanks

Keep in mind as well that not all apps are "created equal".  Some are really good, and others are not very good.  You might also want to look at some education sites for recommendations.  An example of a general iPads in education forum is
    http://ipadeducators.ning.com/
but I imagine some exist for special education needs as well.  Our healthcare organization is using some apps for working with autistic children and find them very helpful.

  • White dots and lines are flickering through my iPad Air's screen and sometimes I have to hard reboot to get the screen to work...ideas?

I just got this iPad Air (32 GB wi-fi only) brand new from an Apple store on Saturday, so it's definitely not an issue of wear and tear. Basically, it looks like my iPad has bad TV reception, there's snow everywhere and lines running up and down the screen occasionally. It's not immediately noticeable, but once you do notice it you realize that it's on the entire screen. I managed to make it go away once by rebooting it which I found odd. I noticed this last night. Today, it was working fine when I woke up but a few hours later the screen wouldn't turn on. I could use Siri still so I knew the iPad was on and funtional, but I couldn't see anything. I managed to finally get it to work by hard rebooting it (Hold down top button + home) and it came alive again, but still has the snow. I rebooted it again and it didn't go away this time. Has anyone ever heard of this and if so is there anything I can do short of taking it into a store to get it replaced? It's obviously still under warrenty and I took Apple Care on it, so I'm not frantic about this, but if there's a DIY fix out there that would be great.

I don't have AppleCare and my computer is no longer under warranty, so if I have to take it in, how much do you think it will cost me?
If the machine matches your profile, Mac OS X (10.7.4), iMac 27', 2012 model, refurbished, then it should be covered under the first year of use. Contact Apple's Express Lane and verify. If it is, then after getting it fixed, purchase AppleCare—the cheapest insurance policy available for Macs.

  • After the latest update of ios 7 none of the videos are playing in my iPad Air

I have updated the latest version 2 weeks ago. After that no video is playing in my air . Also the wifi access speed went very very slow. I am sure the speed is not like previous. Requesting u team to plz check and update with a resolution. Thanks in advance

    Hello Ashok Ganesan,
Thank you for the details of the issue you are experiencing with watching videos on your iPad Air, as well as the slow Wi-Fi issue you are experiencing.
First, I recommend using these steps to troubleshoot the issue you are experiencing with watching videos (you can skip step 4 because it does not relate to the issue you are experiencing):
If a single application is not responding or stops responding when it opens, you can force it to close.
If the device is unresponsive or if certain controls aren't working as expected, restart your device.
If the device remains unresponsive or does not turn on (or power on),reset your device.
If there is no video or if the screen remains black, verify that the device has enough charge to turn on:
If you are using an iPad, ensure that it's connected to the USB Power Adapter supplied with the device.
Let charge for at least twenty minutes, then see if it starts normally.
If there is no image on the screen, press the Sleep/Wake button to attempt to wake the device.
If the screen displays a red battery icon, continue charging the device until the battery is fully charged.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, or the if the screen remains black or shows a persistent Apple logo, try restoring with iTunes:
Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane. Learn more about restoring iOS software.
If the device doesn't appear in iTunes, try to force the device into recovery mode, and then restore it.
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, contact Apple.
You can find the full article here:
iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3281
If you get to step 5, I recommend backing up your iPad before performing the restore:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766
I recommend the following steps for the Wi-Fi issue you described:
Be sure you're in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your W-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.
    Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
    Tap and Forget this Network.
Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.
If the issue is still unresolved Wi-Fi disconnects or signal strength is less than expected
Move closer to the Wi-Fi router (access point).
Check for sources of potential interference.
Remove any case, stand, or other accessories from your iOS device and see if signal strength improves.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including
previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords
    recently used Bluetooth accessories
    VPN and APN settings

  • Are there any refurbished i5 airs with 8gb ram?

When looking at the refurbished macbook airs, I noticed that there are only either the base models with standard i5, 4gb of ram or a few i7 with 8gb.
I wonder why apple isn't selling any refurbished base i5 models with an upgraded 8bg ram.

Apple makes the platinum level of refurbished products in the industry, they are not simply MacBook Airs that get a nice polish. Because of that, they are popular. It's a matter of supply of refurbish-able Macs and how fast they sell. You really have to check the website frequently to get what you want, and jump on it fast, especially anything popular.
The problem with the i5 plus 8GB is that it was a configured option, which means it's rare. They may not get one that can be refurbished to Apple's standards.

  • Multi track audio recording with ipad air

Are there users of ipad air with a usb connecting adaptor and a usb audio device making multi track recordings?  I have had limited success doing this with my previous generation ipad and am wondering about the stability of eight-track recording on the ipad air.

Just thought I would let anyone who's reading this
topic know that I have resolved my issue, it was to
do with the Audio Configuration of Logic to the
inputs from the MOTU. I went to Logic>Audio>Audio
Configuration and configured it so that each track
    received from the respective inputs.

  • My iPad air does not have an lock on/off toggle for the smart cover ipad cases.

Last week I received my new at&t 64gb iPad air. (This is my 3rd iPad. 2nd that, I assume, can use a smart cover style ipad case.) Although I have not purchased a new cover for it yet. I could not help but notice that in the Settings/general there is no "Lock" on/off toggle for the magnetic cover as ther is on my iPad3. does  anyone know if there is supposed to be one on the ipad air or did apple do away with the toggle altogether?
    Any help would be appreciated.

Settings > General > Lock/Unlock shoud still appear.
You must be running iOS 7 (which you presumably are doing on an iPad Air).  And you should be using a Smart Cover or Smart Case made by Apple.  Third party covers/cases may well not function.

  • Which Stylus for iPad Air 2

So I purchased (under the impression given by a Best Buy rep that it was fully compatible) a Wacom Intuos Stylus for my iPad Air 2... They are not compatible and I've been fighting with it for 2 days longer than the allowable refund period.
I need something capable of producing art quality drawings/graphics as well as taking notes in an note taking app...  Any thoughts, ideas, etc... would be helpful.  Thanks!

    Hello E2daG
If bluetooth isn't a big deal for you (because there is no capacitive/bluetooth/electronic stylus compatible with the iPad Air 2 yet) Please save yourself the trouble and go get an Adonit Jot Pro.  I tested every available thing today that I could get my hands on and finally decided to get one of those.
This is my first iPad (I have the Air 2) so you can imagine my surprise at trying to get a stylus and seeing so many issues. Come to find out it's because Apple modified their touchscreen capabilities and it causes screen edge issues and wobbling.
So, I went from buying the Wacom Creative Stylus 2 which I would have loved if it would have worked, to the Adonit Jot Pro from Target for 30 bucks. I saved myself about 55 bucks after taxes and I'm a happy camper!  You don't get pressure sensitivity, but you're looking for good drawing and note taking anyway.
    I hope this helps!

  • How can I limit the number of emails retained on my ipad air?

How can I limit the number of emails that are retained on my iPad Air?  Because of legal requirements of a long-term project, I cannot permanently delete emails relating to that project from my ISP's mail server.  My gmail account contains over 17,000 emails and, upon setting up my new iPad, and updating to ios 7.1.1, I now have all 17,000+ emails taking up space.  I would like to limit the emails by count as I was able to do on my old iPad running ios 5.1.1 OR to retain them based on date range.  I have not found any instructions on the support discussions or general iPad blogs that allow me to do that.  Any way around this problem?
I also miss the 5.1.1 mail search feature that allowed me to narrow the search by from/to/subject/all.  Does anyone know if that feature is available using some little-known ios 7.1.1 feature?
    Thanks for your help.

IOS 7.1.1 doesn't show a "days to sync" parameter anywhere in SETTINGS/Mail,Contacts,Calendars/ACCOUNTS/GMAIL Account/ GMAIL Acccount Info.  There is nothing in iTunes relating to such an option either.  So, it seems I'm back to square one.
If you have a decent mail provider like Microsoft Hotmail or Outlook.com mail it does.
If you have Gmail it does not.  Quite right. Gmail is rubbish.
