Are there lenses for Canon Legria HF M52?

I was wondering if there are lenses portable for the Legria HF M52?
I've been searching on the web for quite a long time, but can't really find what I'm looking for.
Every website that looks like selling lenses for the HF M52 seem rather untrustful.
I'm not looking for any particular lense.
Can somebody help me?
Btw, I'm new here. So please excuse me if this question has been asked before.

I guess those programs are intented for outgoing connections, not incoming connections?
Well, anyways, I managed to solve the problem. Just summing up in case others meet the same problem:
- Went to Apple Store and bought/installed "OS X Server".
- Followed the install wizard for the OS X Server.
- Under "FTP" in OS X Server, turned "On".
- Under sys prefs/sharing; make sure "Sharing" is activated (which already had been done in my case).
- Add folder, e.g. "Movies", and enable "read/write" for "everybody" (already done in my case).
- Back to the OS X Server; changed share to "Movies".
(you can change share options in OS X Server as well, the same way as under sys prefs.).
- Now over to the Canon camcorder;
     - Use the IP address for the Mac as the FTP server. Port 21.
     - Set up username/password as for the Mac admin account (not sure if required though).
     - Target folder just set to "/" (files transferred directly to "Movies").
With this setup, both AVCHD/MP4 movies were transferred easily to my mac.

  • How to enable WiFi transfer from Canon Legria HF M52 to iMac

My iMac is a late 2012 model with Mountain Lion (v. 10.8.3).
Recently I bought a Canon Legria HF M52 camcorder which is WiFi enabled, and is capable of transferring videos (AVCHD/MP4) wireless. The camera package included software for WiFi transfer on Windows PC, but not for Mac. However, still, according to the instruction manual, it should be possible to transfer files wireless to Mac using the Mac as a FTP server. Though, following the instruction manual, I`m still not being able to transfer files from my camera to my Mac.
    1. I know for a fact that the camera is correctly connected to the WiFi network, as I`ve managed to transfer files onto a friend´s Windows PC.
    2. Video files are easily transferred to Mac using the USB cable (but the CABLE is what I want to avoid), both AVCHD/MP4.
    3. Since Mountain Lion no longer has the option to enable/activate FTP server under "System Preferences/Sharing", I have enabled FTP via "Terminal" as described in this link; http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4704.
    4. Camera setup:
         - Use iMac IP address as "FTP server", 192.xxx.x.x (dynamic IP, so it is changed in camera setup if IP address is changed upon iMac reboot).
         - Port 21 (as dictated by the camera`s instruction manual).
         - Username / password as for the iMac admin account.
         - Destination folder; /User/Movies
    5. I have verified connectivity from MBA to iMac connecting via IP address / username and password.
Still, when I try to transfer files from the camera, I get an error message while attempting to connect to the iMac; "An error occured during FTP communication. File transfer was not completed". Have made several attempts to reboot both iMac and camera.
Any tips on how to enable my iMac to receive video files wireless?

If you are seldom in a Wi-Fi Network Area, then you can turn off Wi-Fi until you knowingly are in such a Network Area.  You can go through your Applications where you don't really need to know the instant an Update is available and turn off the push update notifications.  You can turn down the screen brightness.  You can set the sleep cycle to 1-min.  You could set your email to check for new messages every 30-min. rather than less than 1 min.  Just some of many steps available.

  • Are there updates for photoshop elements 2.0 for Windows 7?

I want use my photoshop elements 2.0 on my Window
s 7 computer.  Are there updates for version 2.0?

No updates for pse 2, but pse 2 should run fine on windows 7.
(pse 2 came out long before windows 7, but runs better on vista and 7
than any recent versions of elements, go figure)
    Install as an administrator.
The only exception to this is if your hard drive is bigger than 1tb,
then pse 2 probably won't work unless your version of windows 7
can use the virtual xp mode.

  • Adobe Flash Player : Are there issues for the Mac?

Should I install Adobe Flash Player on my iMac?
Are there benefits and or issues that I should be aware of?

Providing you only download it from Adobe you should be fine - although there are security concerns relating to Flash from time to time. When they become known OS X's inbuilt X Protect will disable it until a new updated 'safe' version is available. Adobe also update it fairly regularly, so if you do install it set its preferences to allow for updates.
As to whether you need it, only you can decide. It adds functionality to web-browsing so without it you may encounter websites that don;t display all their content.
Many users live without it or install it, but also install a Safari (if that;s the browser you use) extension called Click to Flash which disables Flash content, only displaying it if you choose to by clicking on the placeholder.
An alternative is to use Google Chrome which has its own version of Flash built-in. In that case you don't need a separate install of Flash. However, the downside is you have Google looking over your shoulder .

  • HT2052 are there sources for apps that will run in iOS 3?

I have a 1st generation iPod touch, which I have upgraded to iOS 3.1.3, but it seems as though there are no apps that will run in less than iOS 4.  Are there any sources for older versions of the apps that will work?

There are still a some apps that will work with the 1G iPod with iOS 3.1.3. However, there is not way to search by compatibility. You just have look at the Requirements section for the app.
You can only use apps purchased from the app store.

  • Easy set up preferences for Canon Legria HV40

    Dear all in Cyberspace,
I have a Canon Legria HD Video-recorder but I am having difficulty in choosing the correct preset for editing in Final Cut Pro 7. Does anyone know if I need to use "HDV 1080i50" or HDV 1080i60 either with or without "Firewire Basic" (I am using firewire but I don't know how basic it has to be!) or use HDV 1080p24 or any other preset eg from the plethora of PAL presets?
    Cheers, Confused.

Most likely you need to use the 1080i50 preset if you're in Australia.

  • Replacement internal optical drives. Are there tricks for young players?

My La Cie internal optical 16x started bumping and grinding, not releasing disks and finally not detecting disks. It went in for repair under warranty but the distributor said LaCie is no longer supplying internal optical drives. I got an external as a replacement but I still want to replace the original 4x internal drive.
I've seen a Sony DRU830A 18x internal and also one of the LiteOn internal 16x models.
My questions are: Are all these types of drives the same form factor, power usage and connections that will fit the G5 bay? ... even if they say Windows a lot on the box? (I'm aware I need to remove the front bezel and also put on the mounting screws).
Are there any other requiirements for them to work with the Mac hardware and software or will they just be automatically detected and 'acquired'? I don't care about all the bundled Windows software. However I know the internal DVD drive needs to be initialised and somehow 'certified' and regioned for DVD player to use it.

Thanks maclover for your reply and the links. The xlr8yourmac forums on CD-DVD drives were particularly relevant. One thing I noticed is that it's best to just enter 'DVD+R/RW - DVD-R/RW' and then just the brand of drive you're interested in. With all the other fields blank you get a large selection of posts, generally including the model you want info about, but even the info about installation experiences with different models is useful. However if you get very specific about your Mac model and OS version the search can return not even one post. Turns out most of the posts are about installing drives in G4s, iMacs, iBooks etc.
Flashing the drive: this seems to be a real problem in updating the firmware for any number of drives you might want to use in a Mac. In checking the company sites for Sony, Pioneer, LiteOn etc. there's always a firmware update available for download but it's an .exe file for Windows. Other posters have noted that this requires attaching the drive to a Windows machine to flash the ROM. How very convenient. With a drive you've just bought new this probably isn't all that important although when they list the improvements in the latest revision it would be useful to be able to do it. For those trying to upgrade an older drive to burn at 16x and dual layer, they're kind of out of luck. I take it you can't do this upgrading while you're running Virtual PC - no one's mentioned that you could. But I wonder if it would now be possible with the Intel Macs running Windows via Boot Camp. Either that or the service sections of Apple Stores could run a Wintel box and offer a service to flash the ROM if you took the file in on a USB pocket drive. Void your warranty while U Wait.
Thanks again, The Pioneer DVR - 111D looks like a successful candidate as a replacement drive. Posters also report good results with current LiteOn and Sony models. In fact one reports that the LiteON IS the Sony (and also the BenQ) - just $40 cheaper locally. Probably without the Windows Nero software the Sony bundles. A service technician also reported successful results with an LG internal.
    Cheers, Peter.

  • Are there tutorials for IMovie for Mac?

Help....I was very adept at all the previous versions of Imovie, now I'm lost.  Where is precision editor?  Is there a more efficient way to edit a clip other than splitting the clip and altering it?  Why did everything get so difficult with this newest version?

I personally have an entire playlist of tutorials on YouTube.
Here is a link to the playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0P16RU0h1Dmo8u9kVbim2Gi4MHXN_LNP

  • Are there suggestions for managing Multiple VMWare Fusion systems sharing files with a MacBook?  Suppose I have enough ram for 3 servers to share files.

Suppose I have enough ram for 2 or three VMWare fusion systems to that could benefit from file sharing.  Is it possible to configiure each VMWare funsion instance to have a common read only file share on my desktop and a common read/write area on on my desktop?
This would allow me to extend the power and mustle of my Mac Book Air, Retina Display system to its best advantage.  Whether native Mac processing or speciality linux or Windows systems as needed.
I am having trouble allowing more than one system to share the same read only and the same read/write areas so that software does the file locking and merge controls.  Even if these do not share a common read/write area, it would be truly handy for drive space management for them to share a common read only area.
    Thanks for your thoughtful input.

It really denpends on the os running in the vm and what the permissions are set to on those shares.
I run a few vms on both a mac at home and windows at work and all other computers in my home or at work can connect to the vms without any problems. Even multiple computer at the same time.
It also depends on how you have set the vm up for networking. If you are setting it up as nat, instead of bridged, that can also cause problems access it from multiple system. With nat the vm is on its own network branch.

  • Are there drivers for a canon mf5700 series

I have an old canon mf5770 and can't seem to find drivers for the mac. any ideas?

Canon has not released a Mac driver for the MF57xx series. It must use a Canon proprietary protocol.
    So with only Windows drivers available, your options are;
Install a Virtual Machine application on your Mac and then install a version of Windows
Enable BootCamp on your Mac and install Windows on that partition
Connect the MF5770 to a Windows computer and share it. Then print from the Mac to this Windows share using this procedure.

  • Are there tips for editing RW2 (Panasonic RAW) files in Lightroom?

When editing RW2 fiels, I find that the colors are flat and I'm having a hard time recovering details, even when I auto-bracket and combine images with the HDR tool. I think I had better success with JPG images from an older Lumix camera I owned than I am with the RAW files from this camera (Lumix DMC-FZ200).
I also have a Canon DSLR, and LR works beautifully with these RAW images. Not sure why there is the problem with Panasonic's RAW files. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there a way to optimize RW2 files for use in LR?

Lr uses Camera Raw internally for processing raw files.
You create renditions by editing raw images in develop mode until you are satisfied, and then exporting those renditions.
If you mean you want access to proprietary NEF settings placed in the raw image by the camera or Nikon software... this is not possible. You can mimic some of the settings with camera profiles and presets, but Lr (like most software) does not have (complete, unfettered, unencumbered) access to proprietary image details.  Adobe uses the public Nikon SDK to get access to the encrypted WB information.
