HDMI issues abound with all providers and all TV manufacturers. Samsung does seem to have its fair share of the complaints, and not just with Verizon FIOS. Always make sure you have the latest firmware for your TV. Others seem to find success by reverting to component plus audio cables (still full 1080i). A quick search of these forum for "HDMI handshake issues" will reveal several threads for you to study. Also try other forums for other providers. Another resource is avsforum.com where you can specifically search for problems unique to your very model of TV.

Are there still issues with iTunes 7.4.2?

I have yet to upgrade my iTunes to the most current one because of fear I would run into some of the problems other people have encountered. Are those issues isolated to certain people or is it a widespread thing? Should I continue to wait to upgrade to a newer version? I like to keep my system as current as possible but if they are issues with the software then I will keep what I have since everything works fine now.

Every version of iTunes has issues. Since people come here with their problems, and don't come here when everything is going smoothly, reading this forum will give an inflated view of the bugginess of each release.
I've had no problems at all with 7.4.2, and from what I've seen it's no buggier than any other release. Back up your library first, if you're worried, and you'll probably be fine.

Are there compatibility issues between Logic Pro 9 and Mavericks?

As the marker passes over the Arrange-window (when playing or recording) it leaves the space behind it black. Does anybody know why this happens and how to deal with it? I haven't yet had any other problems (besides the usual loss of some EXS-samples.

Only Logic Pro 9.1.8 is officially supported under Mavericks. So: update!

Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it! It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year.Then see if you can connect to the store.

If there is a pattern of the application working up to Firefox 3.6.3 and not working starting with Firefox 3.6.4, there could be a problem with trying to communicate events between firefox.exe (which hosts pages) and plugin-container.exe (which hosts some plugins). You can tweak your settings to force plugins to run in firefox.exe to see whether this is the problem. This article has some background information on that:

No, I don't know. Obviously I can't read every post here, but I haven't read about it before.
Is it a stupid question to ask: why does that matter?? To fix the application to work in Firefox 3.6 and above, we need to see a page that works on other browsers and fails in Firefox. It doesn't need to be the whole application, just enough to demonstrate the problem so that if we solve it, then you can apply that learning back to your application.

I am migrating from ACS v4.2.1 to v5.3. I want the final v5.3 system to assume the IP address of the original 4.2 machine so I don't have to change any configs on the network devices.

I tried it without a problem. I changed the ip address of the WLC many times.
You have to make sure though that:
1-) You change the switchport accordingly to the appropriate vlan if the new ip belongs to a subnet of a different vlan.
2-) Make sure that all AAA clients configured to use the new IP address of the ACS servers.

I changed also by normal ip address command and it works. but of course the server must be standalone before doing that step (i.e. no secondary ACSs registered to it and it is not registered to other ACSs in a distributoin).

Check your trash. I had some old uninstalled files in there. Deleted and restated itunes. seems to work.
