i need to connect to a remote server, i know its ip as:
jint29-14.hast.com.au
is the ip address similar to a number (i.e. 3333.333.333.33), so i can use it directly for connection?

If networking is properly configured (domain name server) on the computer, yes you can use the host name (like "jint29-14.hast.com.au") instead of the IP (like "130.231.240.1"), if that is what you are asking?

Session timeout and session.invalidate() -- are they the same?

I was just wondering when a session timeout occurs (either by setting the session-timeout in web.xml or the server's default timeout), is the session automatically invalidated? Or should we call setMaxInactiveInterval() instead? Or is calling session.invalidate() the only way to invalidate a session?

Both are same in terms of functionality, but if you use both of them like
1: You specified the tag sessionTimeout and
2: in your program the session.maxInactiveIntervalTime( value ) here if the value is(we gave it in terms of seconds like for 40 minutes we give 2400) then the program code will override the value previously set in web.xml

Are these the same keyboards?

They appear to be the same, but the product number is different, and of course Amazon has it $20 cheaper.
So, are they the same? Any help/opinions are appreciated.

At first I thought that since there are 3 iPads for this keyboard/cover .... the iPad 2, 3 and 4 - and since it is available in 2 colors, black and white - I assumed that there were technically 6 different keyboards that correspond to the model number.
But maybe there were two original model numbers for the iPad 2 in black and white, then with each little upgrade to the keyboard, they assigned new model numbers.
I really don't know for sure, but that model number is listed on the Logitech site. It may be the last version of that particular keyboard but it is still available from Amazon brand new. However, I am just guessing here.

History:
We are using the Tree UI element to display/manage a material bom interface. We seem to be running into an issue with displaying the nodes/leaves of the tree.. regardless of the order that the context is built (which is currently the order of the exploded BOM from from CS_BOM_EXPL_MAT_V2), the bom is displayed with the nested boms at the top of each level and the single materials below them. For example. If TK1 contains Material1, Material2, Material3, Kit1(containing component1, comp2, comp3), Material4, Kit2(containing comp4, comp5, comp6), and Material5 (in this order), the tree will display with the A level node as TK1, the next node as Kit1 (with its subleaves of comp1,comp2,comp3), Kit2(with subleaves of comp4,comp5,comp6), THEN Material1, material2, material3, material4, material5. Our users are adamant about the items displaying in the correct order (which should be alphabetical based on the description for one report and by location for purposes of inventory for another). I've searched but not been able to locate a similar question. If I've missed it, please point me in the right direction. The users want the tree, not a "tree" table. This is our first attempt at the tree, so maybe we're missing something basic?

co-workers said example picture is misleading.. we can make the order work if everything is a "folder" but not a mix of "folders" and "files" (if making a visual reference to the windows browser). i.e - a file is represented as an empty folder.

How can I change my iCloud email to my AppleID email? They are not the same and somehow were switched by my teenage daughter. I can access the account and change anything except my iCloud eMail account.

If I am understanding you correctly, it sounds like your daughter may have set up an alias account under iCloud. Your AppleID email address may or may not be the same as you iCloud email address, depending on how it was set up. Welcome to the Apple community.
You can only restore them from a Computer backup. This has occurred because you are sharing an iCloud account. ideally you should each have your own iCloud account, that way you can each manage your own mail, contacts, calendars, documents etc and avoid unintentional deletions and unwanted editing. If there is information you wish to share between you, this can be done with a secondary account.
Having separate iCloud accounts, doesn't mean you have to have separate iTunes accounts, so whilst you keep your personal data separate, you can continue to share music, apps, books, TV shows, movies etc.

When I updated my Apple TV it shows about 10 computers on my network when I only have one computer on my network and they are all the same....why did this happen? I only have one computer linked to the Apple TV

Not sure why, but any problem with a 3rd party app is the responsibility of the 3rd party app developer - in this case Facebook.

Yes, many times. If you are setup to "extend a wireless network, the screen looks like this:
If you click the Wireless Options button, the screen looks like this:
Where is it on this screen that you see a setting to adjust the channel? It sounds like you are confusing "create a wireless network"....which does allow you to adjust channels.....with "exend a wireless network" which does not.
Normally, when you extend a wireless network, AirPort Utility used to always assign the same channel to the extending device. That is no longer the case. It might be the same, or it might be different. You have no control over this, so you have to accept what AirPort Utility thinks is best.
