Are UOM conversions based on 0material not allowed in Infosets?

`We've create an Infoset and now we want to do a Qty UOM conversion based on 0material. We keep getting an error saying 0material is not a Key figure. When we use a UOM conversion based off the T006 table it is fine. Am I doing soemthing wrong or is this a limitation of an infoset.

what do you mean? I have a key figure and on the conversion tab in the query I selcet a conversion we created based on material. It works fine in cubes MP and DSo but not an infoset

It was suggested I move this question to IPhoto or IMovie which I did.
Well moving to a different discussion group did not provide an answer to this question either. But what I finally did was import one batch of photos and videos into IPhoto for a given day at a time. Working with these I could change the date and times in order to get them in the original sequench taken. Then I would create an album with that batch. These would all be on the same day (IMove was closed for this phase). Then I would open IMovie, generate the thumbnails for that album, and select the album I had created. This was necessary because the importing process in IPhoto was using incorrect dates for my video so it was a real struggle finding them in IMove until I developed this approach.
I believe that this whole process was so screwy because I was importing from an external hard drive not a camera. I had these photos on a PC and did not have the original cameras to use to import directly which I am fairly sure would have made this easier!

what a long post....Apple, btw, does not read this stuff, so ranting, raving, and complaining here might make you feel good, but it does no good at all. That being said, I, too have a Mac Pro Quad Core Xeon with 6 gigs of ram and an nVidia 8800 GT graphics card (not as good as yours, alas) and I've had no problems at all with it. Yes, it doesn't have Thunderbolt, but maybe we Mac pro owners will get lucky and someone will come out with an adapter (probably not). No, you probably don't have to throw away your Mac Pro, but if you do, I'll take it, for a small "recycling" fee >:-) That was a joke. Yes, the Mac Pro's future isn't quite clear, YET. Hopefully that will improve very soon. As for not being able to upgrade to Mountain Lion. Don't worry about that too much, Nobody is forcing you to do that. Your Mac Pro won't quit working if it isn't installed. From what I've heard, you should give the new OS a chance, and wait to get it, in case there might be some bugs, or stuff not working with the new OS, which has been known to happen. Yes, we Mac Pro owners don't like being treated like mushrooms-kept in the dark, and being fed......... but Apple is Apple and it will do what it does, and there is nothing you or me can really do to change that. All I can say is....trust, have faith, be patient, go for a walk, do something else to take your mind off of this problem. IF apple decides to drop the Mac Pro for good, and that's a big "IF", I think they will anger a whole bunch of people

BDC based FM is not allowing pop-up, but Report with same BDC does!

Hello Experts,
Am enhancing a custom inbound IDOC posting function module(say my_FM,which wrote based on BDC), which posts the sales order.
I populated some more fields in sales order screen fields from in bound IDOC by enhancing the existing BDC.
In my piece of code, I need to populate a some fields of a POP-UP. When the order is saved, immediately(material Quantity conversion flag+sales order Doc type will determine) a pop-up will come, my BDC has to fill these fileds.
So, i did SHDB and used that code, but, am not getting that pop-up (when I tried to post from WE19)!! I PROCESSed the same recording in SHDB, its working fine. I put the same SHDB code in a report(say my_rep), its working fine. I used a SUBMIT for this my_rep in my_FM, then its working fine!!
Pls. let me know Why the my_FM is not allowing this pop-up to pops up? Wht is the difference betweent this report and this FM?
How can i fix it?

-BDC couldn't be used without specifying transaction.
-Are you using VA01 and it will popup screen through same user exit after sales order save?
-Are you trigger this transaction i your furntion by :
call transaction 'XXXX using gt_bdcdata mode p_mode update 'S' messages into gt_msg.

0Material Not allowing to enter Specified Length

The infoobject 0spm_mtnl1 has a reference of 0Material. This 0Material has a length of 18 But when we are trying to Maintain the Master Data of 0material its just allowing 1 Character only .Can u Please suggest.

goto transaction OMSL and maintain length as 18. The same transaction would have 18 in ECC as well.

On my Mac using 10.6.7, even though icons are present, they are grey and Firefox 4 will not allow navigation back a page or more, nor will it allow refresh.

I updated to Firefox 4. The right and left arrows are present, but are gray or inactive. If I right click the page, Back and Forward are listed, but they are gray or inactive. Hey! I had the same problem you did just today when I was trying to get my second iPhone to sync. What you need to do with music or anything extra that you doing you have to creat a second playlist or picture or anything that you would like to use, so that you can add to the second device that you are going to be using. I am not sure if that will help but it helped me out a lot!! Good luck!

Utilizing Aggregates with Automatic UOM Conversion

I am realizing that any aggregates that are built and need to use this UOM conversion must contain the 0MATERIAL InfoObject. Has anyone found an alternative to this?
If I want to run a yearly sales volume by customer report with implicit UOM conversion the query will not use any of my customer specific aggregates because they don't contain 0MATERIAL. Adding 0MATERIAL to these aggregates would increase the size of the aggregate by a factor of approximately 500. I'm trying to avoid this for obvious reasons.

HI Jonathan,
UOM conversions work explicetly at the material level.Therefore if you want your aggregate to use UOM conversion use must include the material in your aggreagtes.
Aggregates contains data at the level depending upon the characterstis included into the aggregates.
Now if you want something to act upon at a particular level the data at that level has to be maintained.and agrregate are nothing but the cubes.
This leads to the performance issue but there is no other way as UOM conversions have to happen at the material level.

IDVD 7 not allowing 12 menu buttons

I am using iDVD 7 and have done submenus to allow me to get all the shorts on the DVD. On one submneu there are 12 menu buttons but iDVD says there are more than 12 and will not allow me to burn the disc! I have finished everything and need a way to overwrite this if possible??! There are only 12 buttons on the menu it is unhappy with so this should work (the theme allows 12 buttons). I have checked the map and there are not any extra videos anywhere either. Any help is greatly appreciated.

The back button in the menu that takes you to the previous menu is included in the 12 allowed buttons. Therefore, there's only 11 active, user added buttons allowed in submenus. The top menu can hold 12 as there is no back button.

Does anyone experience this issue? Please give me a hint to solve it?

I missed it. After I did the changes for this, the process for Sale Based Rent is good but I couldn't posting the result.
I saw that EhP4 has introduced a new feature whereby we can post sales based settlemnet using periodic posting feature. For this, a checkbox is introduced in the system which we have to check in the contract and is named as 'Post using periodic posting'. I dont see this indicator in my system even though I am on Ehp5.
Could you please advise?

My client has the following query:
"One of the employee has been promoted from employee group 2 (Workmen) to employee group (Management Staff). We have run promotion action now, that is after running pay roll for the month of May 2011. Now it is not allowing to change the pay roll area in orga. assignment effective from 01.04.2011, please do the needful on priority to run pay roll for the month of May 2011."
Can anyone please help me and let me what needs to be done in such cases.

As you said that you have already configured ABKRS feature for defaulting payroll area based on your employee group.
So when you run the promotion action it should actually pick up the default payroll area according to new employee group.
Are you able to do that? or did you manually change it on IT 0001 screen.
If you want it to be automatically defaulted then check your feature DFINF it should have value X if you want it from customising or leave it blank if it should be copied form the previous record

Sytem should not allow to save the sales order based on risk category

Hi,
My user want to control the creation of sales orders based on risk category in credit control area.
We created a new risk category - 30 Not authorized.
And we made necessary configs also , like assignment of risk category and company code in OVFL.
We assigned 30 risk category in FD32 for customers also.
But while creation of sales order system is allowing to save the order.
My user requirement system shoud not allow to save the sales orders for those are customers belongs to 30 risk category.
How can we config. this

your credit control area risk categories credit group

checks tab
choose static and maintain B
this will give you error message and it will not allow you to save the sales order

SRM PO failed: Indicator for GR-based invoice verification used not allowed

Hi Friends,
I have an issue with a specific PO failed to transfer from SRM to ECC. We are in ECS scenario, SRM 5.0 Service level 7.0. We are in process of SP upgrade but this issue occured in Production system which is still in old SP level(SP 7.0).
when I check the App Monitor, I am see the following errors: but the status shows Auto_Completed
1. PO: Indicator for GR-based invoice verification used not allowed
2. PO: Instance XXXXXXXXXX of object type PurchaseOrder could not be changed
3. PurchOrder XXXXXXXXXX: Purchase order still contains faulty items
4. PO XXXXXXXX: Indicator for GR-based invoice verification used not allowed
I can see the PO copied over to ECC. but status in SRM PO shows 'Error in Process'.
BBP_PD for object PO shows: Created, complete, ordered, In Transfer to Execute, Change was Transmitted as Inactive status. Transfer Failed shows Active, Document completed, created.
I checked BP Maintain for the vendor and PO and its no different than other POs and Vendors except Vendor had 'Goods Receipt based Invoice Verification' indicator checked in SRM.
I tried to simulate the same Material, Vendor with GR-IV indicator both on and off, it works fine. Ofcourse this is in Quality box with SP 15 level.
So, I am not sure if SP level upgrade might help it or not? If there are any other means to test, please advise.

I was wondering how I could liquidate the PO by either creating a new PO or ??.
What you could do to revive the PO in question is that after the upgrade, and after a round of background jobs run for CLEAN_REQREQ_UP and BBP_GET_STATUS_2, ask the buyer to make a dummy change to the PO (for example, change the description of the PO) and order again. This would trigger the transfer to the backend again. And hopefully this time, no error would occur.

Why does Skype do not allow to delete conversation with single contact?

IT is a simple question only if Skype can be HONEST and answer it truthfully.. What is the reason that we can not have a feature where we can delete the single conversation with one contact. Now the option skype has does not allow that. You either delete your entire history with all contacts or you have to keep the conversation history you do not want to keep.. I mean It has to be on purpose that Skype has not allowed this option. If you absolutely do not care and will not allow this option, then at least be honest and tell us this is the reason and we can either shut up or move on to some other service... I doubt I will get an honest ansewer
