Are you able to view contents of text messages between your phone and a particular phone number

I am trying to figure out if you are able to get or view the contents of text messages between my phone and a particular phone number....aka, what we talked about. Is there any way I can do that? Any input would be helpful!!!

Yes, look on the phone???
I suppose you are someone of who deletes your messages on a regular basis without backing them up in any fashion which leaves you NO other way to view these messages. For future reference, if you feel you may need to review messages in the future, DON'T DELETE THEM.

Are you able to view iTunes purchase history on an iPad? I am looking for purchase price as well.

The level of information that you seek is available in the iTunes app on a computer. You can view the invoices for your entire purchase history for both the iTunes stores and the Mac App Store from there.

  • I used to have a IPhone3 about three years ago, unfortunately i do not have it anymore. My question is is there a way to obtain deleted text messages from my phone number from a short period of time before i got rid of my phone?

About three years ago in 1012 I had an iphone3 sent and deleted text messages of course and as of now those text messages are needed for an upcoming court case i will be involved with. So is there any way to retrieve those text messages from three years ago. I am just in need of the text messages from February 2012 on. So its about 6 to 10 months of texts. what do I have to do to get them back if possible???

As the others noted, if you don't have any older iTunes backups then the deleted messages would not be recoverable. The free trial of Decipher TextMessage will show you if there are any text messages in your older backups that can be recovered.

  • App for separate text messages with one phone number

Is there an app for iphone that would enable incoming text messages from specific numbers to be diverted to a separate app than the text message app?
In other words, like a separate inbox that could be kept "hidden" on one's phone but with one number.
Or instead of having the text message on the phone, a website where messages could be viewed from the phone on line?

No app that I know of, however text message is a carrier feature - contact your cell phone provider.

  • Can you look up the content of text messages that have been deleted

Can you look up the content of previously deleted text messages?

In the messages search bar, or the search bar of the iPhone, type in keywords from deleted messages.

  • Could you retrieve text messages from your phone by looking on your bill?

im trying to retrieve messages that was erased off my phone after i plugged it up to my mac does anyone know?

The title of your post isn't the same as the post, so I'm a bit confused.  If you want to see the numbers being texted by phones on your account, log into your on-line MyVerizon account (assuming you are the Account Owner and logged in as such) and click the blue Usage Details.  Select the appropriate line at the top of the page (if applicable) and then under the table showing text usage, click the blue View Messaging Details.  However, texts sent/received via iMessage won't show up since they don't go through Verizon's system.
If you want texts sent to your e-mail, you should be able to forward them.  If it's another phone on your account that you're wanting those texts sent to your e-mail, there may be an app for that, but I'm not sure.  With Androids, you can get apps that back up text messages and then forward them to your e-mail; I don't know if there's a similar iPhone app or not.

  • When I receive text messages, it displays phone number instead of contact name.

I updated to iOS 5 on my iPhone 4 over the weekend. Since updating to iOS 5, all of my text messages show up with a phone number listed instead of the contacts name. I checked my contact info and all the contact information is listed and the numbers under the contact are correct. Has anyone else had this issue and if so have you discovered any resolutions?

Following a tip from another poster, I was able to fix the issue (temporarily).
This worked for me on Verizon.
I dialed *228 on my Verizon phone. I pressed "1" to activate it over the air. I then went into task manager and killed all the running apps.. Waited a few minutes.
The next text I got displayed the number correctly!.. Until I rebooted, that is.
Ps. PLEASE, call Apple and speak with a senior engineer on this. They can't fix it if they don't know it's a problem! (800) MY-IPHONE

  • C2-03 TEXT MESSAGING INSERTING CONTACT PHONE NUMBE...

I'm a celphone prepaid loader so I often refer to my phonebook  whenever I send a prepaid  load. In other nokia phone model to paste a contact person's name or phone number in the body of the text message all you need to do is choose "insert name" or "insert number" and I can't seem to find this feature in the c2-03 model. All I can find is "insert symbol" which would only allow you to insert special characters or smileys, whereas  "insert object" would allow you to add attachment.  This is a very important feature as it saves time to just import the information from the phonebook instead of inputting phone number right off the keypad.

i am facing same problem... is there any another way to insert contacts in messages in c2-02 or c2-03?

  • IPhone 4S - Text Messages Showing From Phone Number

I have all of my contacts in my iPhone.
When someone texts me or I text them, the Message shows from their phone number.
I've tried updated the programming and that didn't solve it for me.
Anyone know how to fix this issue?
I've read on the apple forums this is a Verizon issue.

I went to the verizon store for assistance and they told me to add a "1" in front of the contact number.  I did do this, and it STILL is showing the number when I receive a text from that contact.
The other thing I noticed is that when you text a contact by name from your contacts, the text will be stored under their name. HOWEVER when they reply, the text shows up by number without any SMS history.  Its confusing and very strange and does not keep context.
When you go to the iphone 4s search and look for the number that shows up in SMS, it does not find the number in the contacts list -- search does not search the actual number field which is very frustrating
I added the 1 and still have the same problems you outlined here as well. I'm thinking this is a patch that's needed and not a phone setting.

  • HT1689 Are you able to view all itune invoices on ipad?

Hello!  Is it possible to access the iTunes Store similar to the PC version where you can access your account details and view your previous purchases (invoices, not the actual music or app)?  Say I want to see where I've paid for an app add-in, I can only see this in my invoice in order to prove that I paid for something and have it reinstalled.
    Thanks!

  • Text Messages displaying contact phone number instead of name

How can I change the config so that incomming txt messages will  disply the contact name instead of their number.  For some reason, when I receive a call, the display will indicate the contacts name (this is good), however, with txt messages, it displays their number (would rather have the name).
So if Jane Doe calles me I can clearly see it's Jane Doe calling
When the same Jane Doe txt's me, the display reads their phone number

I had a problem similar to this on other phones, and it had to do with how the number was parsed. When you go into your contacts, is the number the exact same number as the number you receive SMS from? Friends and Family with this issue had it because they either didn't have the area code in front of the contacts number or for some reason, required a 1.
    edit:
Also, go into your SMS history and long press on the number. It should pop up a wondow to save to existing contact.

  • Can you convert your text messages to your computer?

Can you convert your text messages from your phone to your computer?

Text messages are included with your iPhone's backup, which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process. There are utilities such as this one that provide for extracting this and other data from your iPhone's backup for access on your computer for reading, printing, archiving, etc.

There are other utilities such as this one which is compatible with a Mac for extracting select data direct from the iPhone.
