I have been waiting since months for the new IPad4G 64 Gbt. ON recommendation of Apple Support I have changed my IPad 4G last week in the hope that something was wrong with the firts one I bought.

Currently FaceTime only works over Wi-Fi, so no, you don't get charged for using it. You just have to pay your monthly internet bill to pay for the Wi-Fi.

Relax, nobody's ripping you off...
Apps are tied to the Apple ID you purchased them on and not the device so getting them all back is easy so long as you know the account details. To reinstall the apps just use the App Store and use the original Apple ID (account) that was used to purchase them, then re-install. If you setup a new Apple ID on your device when you initialized iOS 5 then go into the App Store app and change the account back to the one that was there before. Then go to update > Not on this iPhone and start installing...

When you release a new phone you need to make sure than any updates you make for the old phones make them BETTER - Some of us are not eligible for the upgrades and until we are our old phones need to work just as good as they WERE working!!!!

They can't support every phone forever. Eventually, the software gets to a point where it can no longer be handled by old hardware(iPhone, iPhone 3G), and support for those devices must be dropped. It's the exact same way everything else in the world is handled, from TV's to computers.

Are you ready for HRD?

Many will wonder what this is about, a HRD? Quite simply, it is a Hard Rectangular Drive (HRD).
It seems odd, since all the disks we know of are circular and we now start to talk about rectangular drives. Well, to put your mind at ease, they don't rotate, they are capable of around 500 MB/s transfer rate, they are near silent like SSD's, they can handle around 160.000 IOPS, come in sizes between 80 GB and 2 TB. Just for comparison:
* 7200RPM SATA drives - ~90 IOPS
* 10kRPM Serial Attached SCSI drives - ~ 140 IOPS
* 15kRPM Serial Attached SCSI drives - ~180 IOPS
* Simple SLC SSD - ~400 IOPS
* Intel X-25 M (MLC) ~1,500 IOPS
* Intel X-25 E (SLC) - ~5,000 IOPS
Just consider what would happen if you put 4 or 6 of these HRD's together in a raid....

Dang! I was about to run out and see if I could get some rectangular tires for my wife's car. I thought that with these performance numbers, they might keep her out of the supercharger a bit. No such luck.
Back to realitiy: sounds neat. Hope they produce them in AZ, as our economy could use a bit more manufacturing. I'm also with Jim, in hoping that the release date will not be THAT far into the future.

HT4623 I hit update on my phone for the new software update and now on my homescreen it has the usb plug with the arrow pointed up and the Itunes app.

I went to do software update on my Iphone 4s. When it restarted the phone the usb plug, arrow button pointing up and the Itunes app appeared on my screen. It seems my phone crapped out on me. Is there anyway to recover my information. I also plugged it into my laptop and opened itunes and it says phone needs to recovery but if I hit yes I will lose all my data. Can anyone please help me?

If you each have a separate Windows account then each of you should automatically have a separate Firefox profile.
If you use the same Windows account (not much privacy in that case) then you will have to create a separate profile for each of you and a desktop shortcut to start each profile.

The only people who can possibly assist you with this is Apple Customer Relations, call your local Apple contact number and ask for Customer Relations then explain your situation clearly and politely (be firm but don't rant).
You might want to investiage what the local laws are regarding defective goods and 'fit for use' definitions on warranties etc. Consumer Protection can be a useful tool to use or bargain with if needed ...
