Arial font in safari replaced with another!!

the other day i downloaded some new fonts. for some reason safari suddenly began replacing the arial font with one of the new fonts. i tried to locate the font (and i thought i did and i deleted it) but the problem is continuing. it won't even allow me to use a different font. help!

Oddly enough, it is only in Safari.
That's normal.
As you can see the Arial font comes up as another font,
It looks like a stencil font. You should be able to find it in font book from the sample pane and dump it.
even when I change to a different font, the fonts on the websites will not change to the specific font I have chosen.
The font for a website is most often determined by the code of the webpage and not by what you set Safari prefs.

Go find the graphic in question, and open it in its native program. The problem will have to be fixed there.

When I delete com.apple.audio.SystemSettings.plist my audio/sound problems are solved. However when the file is replaced with another file, the sound is crappy and the quality is reduced. Can you please help me?

Word 2013 now has lots of updates compared with earlier version of Word, lots of features have been updated. Use Word 2013 to open documents created in earlier versions of Word (Word 97-2003 format), you will probably encounter unexpected problems,
expecially for those heavily formatted files.
We would suggest you to convert your document to the Word 2013 file format, then you will be able to access the new and enhanced features in Word 2013.

Search given string array and replace with another string array using Regex

I want to search the given string array and replace with another string array using regex in java
for example,
String news = "If you wish to search for any of these characters, they must be preceded by the character to be interpreted"
String fromValue[] = {"you", "search", "for", "any"}
String toValue[] = {"me", "dont search", "never", "trip"}
so the string "you" needs to be converted to "me" i.e you --> me. Similarly
you --> me
search --> don't search
for --> never
any --> trip
I want a SINGLE Regular Expression with search and replaces and returns a SINGLE String after replacing all.
I don't like to iterate one by one and applying regex for each from and to value. Instead i want to iterate the array and form a SINGLE Regulare expression and use to replace the contents of the Entire String.
One Single regular expression which matches the pattern and solve the issue.
the output should be as:
If me wish to don't search never trip etc...,
Please help me to resolve this.

As stated, no, it can't be done. But that doesn't mean you have to make a separate pass over the input for each word you want to replace. You can employ a regex that matches any word, then use the lower-level Matcher methods to replace the word or not depending on what was matched. Here's an example: import java.util.*;

pages and lots of content. Last second, I am told that they need to
change one word with another through out the website. Since there's
so much text content, I was wondering if Dreamweaver has a feature
like the Microsoft Word, in which I could type in that word and
automatically replace it with another - through out the page.

IDVD looses original sound track and replaces with another sound track

I have another issue. I have this one iMovie file that I downloaded from my MiniDV. I have added titles and transitions to it. When I click on the iDVD to go to the iDVD program and burn it, it takes the audio track of the last DVD I had burned and combines that audio track with the iMovie file I just brought over. I have wasted at least 4 DVDs but with no luck. Do you know what is causing it. I have tried to delete all the instance for that movie from the iDVD and restart but it still does the same thing. I also "play" it on iDVD before burning it and it has the correct audio but as soon as I burn it, it goes through 5 processes and burns it with my video and the audio is replaced with the audio from the last burn!!!
Please help.

(Arial) Fonts turn into cyrillic with anti-aliasing 'none' (bug?)

Hi, I've got this really strange problem here.
When I'm typing 'ç' in a Photoshop I get a cyrillic 'H'. When I turn the anti-aliasing of the font into 'sharp' instead of 'none' for instance, it's back the ç again. This occurs with every key in the numeric row.
I'm using an azerty keyboard and the ç is located on the 9-key, This only happens with the default font 'Arial' (regular). I'm working with Photoshop CS3 (Master Collection) on a Mac OSX 1.5.6 (Leopard).

Startup Disk issue in new Mac Air. Replaced with another new mac, then again. MS Excel culprit?

Hey guys, I bought a macbook Air 11’ 4GB 128GB (Mid-2011(after selling my 13” macbook pro) and the problems seem to be never ending.
My primary work involves using MS Excel so I installed a licensed version of Office for Mac 2011 and started using excel on my new mac machine. Within few minutes I got a message pop-up on screen “YOUR MAC OS STARTUP DISK HAS NO MORE SPACE AVAILABLE FOR APPLICATION MEMORY”.
I checked the size of storage and there was just 5 GBs worth space left despite the fact that there was not a single photo, music, video on the new mac apart from a few MBs of excel files. I took it to the vendor (APPLE PREMIUM RESELLER) who after re-installing lion returned it to me and the same issue again popped up. Finally, they diagnosed an SSD problem and after a week of waiting, I was given a brand new shiny macbook air MC969 (same model).
I used the new one and again while using excel, the same issue has come up. I’m really fed up of this stupid error bcoz I was using the same OFFICE FOR MAC suite on my macbook pro and never suffered any such problem. I have also twice thrice completed all the steps I was told to do (like repair disk perm. Emptying the cache etc. )
Since India doesn’t have any Apple owned stores but only Premium Resellers whose replacement etc policies are not governed by Apple.
They do not even refund the money but have given an option of diagnosing the machine and replacing the problematic part.
I googled the web and found no such issued with EXCEL. Strangely, other apps in the office suite seem to work well without any issues.
I have attached the screenshots that how while using excel, within a couple of minutes, mac starts to heat up, then storage decreases and finally the error where mac becomes dead slow.
Please help me to determine where the cause lies.

The Excel files size range between 29KB to 60KB.

I called up the reseller and he said that the replacement period is now over and mac would only be repaired.

How do I share Safari bookmarks with another Apple ID in iOS 8?

My husband and I share the same Safari bookmarks, calendar, contacts, reminders, notes. We've always been able to share tall of them across his devices by adding my Apple ID account to my spouse's devices in the Mail, Contacts, Calendars under settings. The only thing I do not share is my email on his device.
But with iOS 8, it doesn't allow me to share Safari bookmarks, it only allows me to share my calendar, reminders, notes, and contacts.
We have an iMac with my Apple ID, running on Yosemite; all devices are on iOS 8.

I am having the same challenge. If you find a solution please share it.

hi, im new to elements and photo editing, is there an easy to understand way of removing a whashed out white sky and replacing it with a blue/white cloud style of sky, i already have a donor sky.thanks for any advice given, ive got v7

Make a selection of a segment of the donor sky with one of the selection tools
Go Edit>copy
Open the picture with the washed out sky
Go to Edit>paste. This will put the donor selection on its own layer. Position it with the move tool over the old sky
Set blend mode of this layer to darken
Set foreground color chip (lower left) to white
Drag foreground to transparent linear gradient from below up to top of tree line (if there are trees)
With soft white brush, at reduced opacity, paint horizon on a new layer at top of stack. Horizon should be lighter than rest of sky..

If I understand you correctly, I have the same configuration. My modem supports Internet and phone service and my television service bypasses the modem. It does not do any routing. It has a single Ethernet port and I plugged in an external router with a WiFi radio - Apple Airport Express. Works like a champ.
Configuration of the Express was difficult. I had to plug it in to AC power and to the modem. Then, I opened up Airport Utility and had to click "yes" for each recommendation. Then I had to really think hard to come up with a WiFi password. Took me a horrendous thirty seconds from start to finish!

Connect the old iPhone to iTunes and back it up, also transfer purchases
and pictures and videos. Connect the new iPhone to the same iTunes
and restore from the backup of the old iPhone that you just made.

Aperture is not a pixel editor, which is what you need. Photoshop is the app used for this, but it's cost is several times that of AP! As suggested in the second post, look into Photoshop Elements, a slimmed-down and much cheaper version of Photoshop. [I don't use Elements, so if someone knows that it can't do area copies from one pic to another, please join the conversation!]
And get a good book on Photoshop or Elements, there's a huge learning curve involved. I'd suggest going to a book shop, pulling a few such books off the shelf and check their index for editing techniques. Sometimes you'll find one book that gives you the exact step-by-step instructions for doing what you want. Then there'll be others that don't get into the topic or do a poor job.
