Armband ZEN Nano Plus/MuVo Micro N

I just bought a Zen Nano Plus Gb, and I'm looking for the armband. It is on the creative website, but it seems that nobody got that in store. If anybody knows a store where I can order it or a website, it'll be very helpfull !!
Thanx everybody

"I received it this morning, and I'm very pleased, it's perfect! Looks like a geniune US one (has the Creative logo on it) which is $9.99 (but they wont ship outside the US)."
That is so silly. Why doesn't Creative stock all the items in its US internet store in its other internet stores?
Imo it is also not a good idea that they have different package contents for different regions. In addition to confusing and disappointing many consumers, it must also add unnecessary additional complexity to their inventory management. I can imagine situations arising where they have too much inventory of an item packaged for one region, but are sold out of it packaged for another region.

I'm contemplating buying a Creative MP3 player, but I've never had one before and I'd like to know about a couple of features. What's really pressing on my mind is if the players support folders, meaning if I can chose a folder and play all the songs inside, or if the player just takes all the songs in all the folders, sorts them alphabetically and plays them.
I want a player with GB memory, and I'd like to use it as a USB storage, too, so it should support other filetypes. Radio would be great, and I'd like to know if the radio also functions when I'm on holiday in another country, maybe even on another continent.
Until now, it seems that the Zen Nano Plus, the MoVo TX FM and the MuVo V200 are my most likely choices, plus, I like their design and they're not too expensi've. But before I buy any of them, I'd really like to know all the differences between them, so I can make the right decision. It would be great if you could help me with that.

I can offer some questions answered for the N200/Nano Plus, there are many others here who are more knowledgeable on the flash players.
The Nano Plus does allow you to pick each folder and play them, depending on your play mode (shuffle, normal, repeat folder etc), the folder will play how it's been told to. But, the songs are played in alphanumeric order (Eg, ,2,3,a,b,c, so you'd need the songs like 0-track.mp3, 02-track.mp3 etc). I think all Creative Flash players work that way actually.
The Line-in on the Nano Plus isn't all that good, I wouldn't really use it tbh.
It can be used a flash dri've (as all the others can)
The Radio generally on the Nano/N200 (mine's an N200, so I'm not sure how much exactly it'd differ, but they are the same player, just rebranded) is usually very good for me. I'm in London, and with the autoscan feature, I pick up the radio stations I want to listen to. I did recently bring my player to Mauritius where I did also get a good reception (in the Capital and around the Island, not where I was staying, because that's well... on a hill, I never really did try it). I also tried it out in Australia, Perth, where I actually got nothing at all, not radio station on autoscan. If I did manually go to the radio stations I did get a muffled sound. This was only where I was staying, I didn't really have time to mess around with an mp3 player while I was out.
Hope that answers some questions, feel free to ask more.

Have tried to download drivers and software for Zen Micro. When I try to run it though, it does not install because it says that I do not have device connected. Have erased everything off of Zen Micro, but have not reformatted. When I attach Zen Micro to PC, Zen Micro displays "booted" & PC displays "Zen Micro" for a second or two, then switches to "MTP Device"?. Do I need to erase everything from the Zen Nano Plus first?2. What do you think my next step should be?Thx???

  • Zen Nano Plus armband in Austra

    Hi all
I've spent a lot of time researching what mp3 player to buy. I eventually decided on the Zen Nano Plus due to it's size, features, good reviews, and being able to use the armband for running and gym work.
Until I discovered the armband is unavailable in Australia! According to the Creative website, the armband is a standard accessory included in the box if you li've in the US. In the UK, it is available from the website as an optional accessory. But it's not available at all in Australia.
Without starting a discussion on why Creative would market in this way, does anyone have any suggestions on how I might source an armband, with or without the player? I am happy to purchase from US websites, but I haven't come across any that will ship to Australia. Creative themselves certainly don't, neither the US or UK sho
    ps.
Does anyone know of an online US retailer that will ship to Australia? Does anyone have one that they don't want?
    Cheers

    Woohoo! Success, at last.
Found an Australian online retailer that ships to Australia (obviously). It looks like this mob has imported a stack of Zen Nano Plus's, complete with silicon case and armband.

I ordered late on Monday night and it was in my hands on Wednesday morning. About $255. And the best bit - available in orange! Most retailers only seem to stock black or white. Also in light blue or silver apparently.
Very happy, finally. Thanks to all for trying to help.
    Clowndogger - I hope you haven't switched to iri'ver!

  • Problems running creative zen nano plus and nomad muvo on same compu

We have 2 nomad muvo mp3 players and now a zen nano plus .Have had constant problems with the media organiser .
Installed zen nano plus and selected enable smart fit to get maximum amount of songs and it worked fine but as soon as we tried to install software for the 2 nomad players it would not work smart fit for any of them.
Uninstalled everything and got the zen software in and it was running ok but then seemed to have problems and although smart fit was enabled it just copied files as the original mp3.
It then fatally crashed yesterday and I am awaiting a replacement as I had only had it for 2 days.
Is it possible to run all 3 and to be able to use smart fit on all 3 players or am I better off having just one working and using the file converter for the other 2.

    <FONT face=Helv size=2>
Make sure that you have installed the MediaSource plugin for MuVo in order to get SmartFit You have to access SmartFit via the MuVo node of the Sources window in MediaSource. You won't see SmartFit if you access your MuVo via the My Computer node of the Sources window in MediaSource..
Here is what you should do to get the latest MediaSource software:
    - Download and install the latest Creative MediaSource Player/Organizer 3.30.2 from your product download site.
    - (Depending on your firmware)
Download and install the latest Creative Zen and NOMAD Jukebox plugin 2.00.9 for Creative MediaSource from your product download site.
    or:
Download and install the latest Creative MediaSource Plugin for PlaysForSure devices (version .00.8) from your product download site.
    - Download and install the latest Creative MuVo plugin .0.05 for Creative MediaSource from your product download site.
    - Download and install the latest Creative MediaSource Plugin for CD Burner 3.0.8 from your product download site.

  • Zen Nano Plus 1GB Accessor

    Hi there!
I am considering purchasing the zen nano plus flash player. I've read the product's review at http://www.cnet.com.au/mp3players/mp...0063743,00.htm
However in the review it's mentioned that this flash player comes with a belt clip, a case as well as an armband included in the package!
Could any of you who have purchased the player please tell me if that's true, as there is no mention of that in the product description from Creative.
    Thanks,

The Zen Nano Plus might come with a case/armband in the US, but in the UK it only comes with a neckband
So after months of searching, I've finally found a silicon/rubber case with armband on ebay! Looks like a genuine US one (has the Creative logo on it) which is $9.99 (but they wont ship outside the US). BTW DONT buy the one for the MuVo TX listed in the UK Creative shop as it wont fit

  • Zen Nano Plus: I can't get my CDs to play in original order...He

    Hello. I'm new here.
I got a Zen Nano Plus 52 mb a few months ago. Installed the software on my computer. I'm not very computer literate.
Here's what's frustrating me: I can't seem to listen to my CDs in their original order.
) I put a CD in my computer
    2) Whether I view the track list in Windows Media Player or in the Creative Media Menu the track list appears in its original order as seen on the CD.
    3) I "rip" the CD to my Nano player.
    4) When I disconnect the player and go to play the album the tracks are all mixed up and not in the original order anymore.
I've tried some different things but nothing seems to correct the problem. I'm hoping someone can direct me what to do. I'm very confused, as I don't understand much of the computer terminology I read.

As in other response, the Nano Plus does not read ID tag info for sorting (it does read part of the tag--song name---only for display while that song is playing). Tag info typically includes the track number. Windows Media Player plays tracks in order of track number contained in the ID3 tags. The Nano Plus only sorts by filename. You can rip your tracks in a format that is prefixed by the track number (for filename). This can be done in Windows Media Player and other programs. Somehow you ripped tracks without the track number first (which would solve your problem). You tracks should look like "0-Come Together-Bealtes.wma" or something like this. This is the FILENAME, as you would see in Windows Explorer. The track info is not visible in Windows Explorer views. You can see it from Windows Media Player or Creative Media Source Organizer, though. Other players like Zen Micro and Touch sort tracks and build the library database on ID3 Tag info, not filenames.

    Hello
i have been using Zen nano plus gb for some time now. Today i plugged it in my pc and when i tried to acces it i got the following error message. "L:\ is not accessible. The request could not be permitted beacuse of an i/O device error.
so i see my zen nano in my computer, but my zen nano exlorer dont regonize it and i cant acces my player and it gives me that error. How can i fix this?

    Hello!
I had the same problem/error message with my son's 52 Mb Plus. In my case solution was firmware update. I downloaded from support latest firmware (ZENNanoPlus_PCFW_LF__3_03.exe), installed it and reformatted the player. If I had understood right, before firmware installation, also the Player Recovery Device was installed and run.
Last April (04-20-2006) Buck posted in this forum a message with more precise instructions. You can also find instructions for updating firmware from Support KnowledgeBase (eg. Solution ID # 265 Updating firmware for MuVo or Zen Nano Plus).

  • My zen nano plus prob

I uploaded the holy bible audio in my Zen nano plus mp3 I bought three days ago. totally 66 folders, but can only show up 38 folders, new testament 2, old testament 7, I try to delete, format, and upload again, the problem is still here.
two friends met the same problem. one is the zen nano, the one is the <FONT color=#333333>Muvo TX FM.
If any body have the same problem before, thanks a lot for your gus help.

There is a maximum number of folders supported by the players and it depends on the firmware version. It varies between 50 and 60 folders including the automatically created folders such as Encoded Tracks and Recorded Tracks.
This also includes high level folders without files in them - if you had an NT folder with 20 folders in it and an OT folder with 30 folders in it then that would be 52 folders not 50. The last ones alphanumerically are ignored.

  • Downloading a book on CD to my Zen Nano Plus mp3 pla

Does anyone know the best way to download a cd book to my Zen Nano plus Player?
    thanks
    pejid

I have a MuVo TX FM for audio books, but I imagine the procedure would be the same for your Zen Nano.
There may be faster/easier ways, but this is what I do:
I use the "Free CD Ripper" (http://koyotstar.free.fr) to rip the CDs to MP3 files on my computer. Each disk's files are stored in a separate folder. I use the book name and disk number for the album name (e.g. Book Title 0). Go to the configuration screen to set the file name to be Album - Track (%A - %N). I find ripping at 48Kbps is sufficient for my ear and it saves space. After that, I can just copy the folders to my player and listen. On my player everything is played in alphabetical order, so the above naming scheme works quite well.
As an improvement, you can use MP3 Book Helper (http://mp3bookhelper.sourceforge.net/) to rename the tracks from "Track 0" to include the book name, disk number and track: "Hobbit 0-05". On my player there is about 6 characters of space available for displaying the track name while playing and it is nice to easily see where you are in the book.
Finally, note that some Creative players have a 40 folder and 500 file limit on what they can detect/play. So you need to be careful not to overfill your player. It won't hurt it, but some files and folders won't be playable. To fully use the space available, you could use an MP3 Joiner to combine the files together in order to stay under the limit. At this point I haven't bothered with this step since I can still store two books without exceeding the limit.
    Good luck,
    Doug

  • Zen nano plus fold

I tried making a folder for my zen nano plus, but when i put a song in it it takes up memory, unlike my sisters zen micro.is there a way to make it not take up memory?

    Hey Guys,
I guess I'm what you might call computer stupid. I hope you don't think that I ask too many dumb questions. Well, here goes....
I recently purchased a Zen Nano Plus, GB. (I am really amazed at what this little thing can do.) As soon as I loaded the software into the cumputer, I went to Creative.Com and downloaded everything available for it. I ripped 6 CD's to it and ran out of memory. All songs were ripped in MP3 format without using the Smartfit option. I have ~220 songs on the player.
I copied all the songs over to a hard dri've, deleted all the songs on the Nano Plus, and tried to drag and drop them all back to the player using Smartfit and converting to WMA format. There wasn't enough space to get all the songs back on that I took off. I deleted all of them then d&d back to the Nano. The player is working fine in the shuffle mode.
Now that you have the background, here are my questions: First, Is this about the limit for MP3 format songs, or is there something I'm doing/not doing to get more songs onto it's Second, the help information isn't really clear to me as to what/when/if I should use the format/initialize options. Please educate me on this issue. Third, has anyone used an FM transmitter with the Nano Plus, and if so, which one do you recommend?

  • Creative Zen Nano Plus Firmware Problem, AGAIN! (PeeBee HEL

    Hi all,
I am new here and have read all the posts and FAQ's but couldn't solve my problem. Actually there is a post http://forums.creative.com/creativel...d=68923#M07024 which tells exactly my problem. Have tried the solution but didn't solve it.
So I am here asking again.
I bought a zen nano plus GB and downloaded the latest firmware(ZenNanoPlus_PCFW_LF__0_03.exe) and the latest mass storage driver (MStorage_PCDRV_LB__07_00_250.exe). When I put the player in recovery mode as the firmware is detecting devices the player takes it self out of recovery mode and back in mass storage mode how do i stop it from down that?
I am trying to update it because my player doesn't play wma files :angry:I have tried PeeBee's solution but it didn't work. I have taken the battery out, reconnected it and it is recognized in recovery mode. I run the firmware and the computer plays a sound, the icon of connection appears in the nano's lcd and it is out of recovery mode. Then firmware program tells me that the 'device state is not set' and after that the message 'put into recovery mode before updating firmware' Aaaaaarrrrrghhhh!
I'm also running windows XP SP2
    Can anyone help me?
    Thank you in advance

    Rio de Janeiro - Brazil

    Hello-
I had a similar situation develop. Did your error message say, "Media state not initialized?" Here is what the creative support site says:
If you receive a message "Media State is not initialized ..." while updating firmware for a MuVo or Zen Nano Plus player, it will be necessary to install the Player Recovery Device driver and then update the firmware.
. Download the latest driver if you have not done so. You can download it from http://us.creative.com/support/downloads, and file name is MStorage_PCDRV_LB__07_00_250.exe.
    2. Install the latest driver by double clicking on the file name.
    3. Unplug the player from a computer if it is plugged.
    4. Remove the battery from the player (except Zen Zeeon which has a built-in battery).
    5. Press and hold the Play button while connecting the player to the USB port.
    6. Continue to hold the Play button for about 0 seconds after connecting your player is connected to the USB port.
    7. Keep on holding the Play button till Windows displays the Find New Hardware dialog box.
    8. If this is the first time a player is installed as Player Recovery Device, Windows will find a Player Recovery Device (or USB Device), and prompt you for drivers. Click on No, and select "Do not search. I will choose the driver to install". Windows will install the drivers automatically.
    9. Double click on the latest firmware upgrade file that you have downloaded previously, and follow the instructions on the screen.
    0. Format the player if you are prompted to do so.
It is recommended that you stop your player properly before physically disconnect it from your PC.
To stop your player in Windows XP, Windows 2000 or Windows ME
Click on the Safely Remove Hardware icon on the Taskbar, click Safely remove USB mass Storage device, and disconnect your play when you are prompted to do so.
To stop your player in Windows 98SE
Make sure that the icon below appears on the LCD screen again for at least fi've seconds before disconnecting your player.
Now, I did all of the above and still got the error. What solved the problem finally was to connect (using the above method - remove the battery - hold the switch, etc) to a DIFFERENT USB port. Then all worked well, and the firmware transferred. Don't ask me how or why.
    Good luck.

They were rebranded due to the Zen being piece models, and the MuVos being 2 part models.
