Armenian fonts for ipad

I need Armenian fonts for ipad, plz help.

I can't speak specifically about this particular font issue - but I can tell you that I lose some formatting when I go from Pages documents on my iPad to the same document on my MacBook. I just don't think that the two apps are completely and totally compatible yet across the different devices. That has been my experience anyway.

OS X 10.7 now has a font for Ethiopic, so Apple should be able to add it to the iPad in the future.  Ask for it here:

  • Pages fonts for iPad

Pages for iPad and Mac: I don't know if it the same when using all fonts but when I use the Didot font (my preferred font) on Pages for the iPad, apostrophes appear different to how they do when using the same font on the Macbook version of Pages. I constantly switch between devices and was wondering, does anyone know if there is a way to fix this? Or if indeed you have experienced similar problems in terms of the look of your text when using what should be the same settings on iPad and Macbook.
I cannot afford to check for and correct descrepencies (however minor) in the look of my text so I would be very grateful for any advice on this.

  • Can you install Sinhala fonts for iPad 2 ?, Can you install Sinhala fonts for iPad 2 ?

There are lot of sri lankans who are interested in buying the iPad but there is a huge problem with the language barrier. If you all make an app for this as soon as possible , believe me there with be a lot of happy apple users

You can't add fonts to the iPad so that they are available in every app, only Apple can do that - so if a third-party wrote an app that included it, it would only be available within that app.
You can try leaving feedback for Apple and maybe support will be added at some point : http://www.apple.com/feedback/ipad.html

  • Font not working in Pages for iPad

When I create a MS Word 2010 document using the Arial Font, I then email myself the document and then open it Pages.  Once it opens, I get a message saying "This document may look different on your iOS device.  The font Arial isn't available on iOS.  It was replaced with ArialMT."  I have tried uninstalling and then reinstalling pages to see if something was wrong with the program, but it does the same thing.  I have also connected my iPad to my computer and uploaded the document via iTunes, but I still run into the same issue. I am currently running iOS 6.1.3.
This is weird because I looked up supported fonts for iOS 6 and Arial is one of them.  Once it "converts" Arial to ArialMT, I go into the document to check which font is uses and it is listed as "Arial".  I am confused on why it does not have Arial, throws an error message, but then uses Arial.  Anyone experience the same thing and know how to fix it?

So on the list it says Arial http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5484 which is a font from Apple, which is different from Microsoft, but are named the same...
Is there a list of Microsoft Fonts that will work with Pages?
Are you actually seeing a noticeable difference in the fonts after conversion? While there are some difference between those fonts, they are very subtle differences and in all likelihood will not really change the look of the document.

  • Is there a way to increase the font size for the "songs" and "artists" lists in the new music app for iPad 2 (iOS 5)? It is too small for me.

It would depend on your definition of "Fix"
Your iPod touch running OS 4.2 has a ZOOM feature which will enable you to see the screen more clearly.
To turn Zoom on or off got to:
Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom and tap the Zoom On/Off switch.
    _To Zoom in or out_:
Double-tap the screen with three fingers. By default, the screen is magnified 200 percent. If you manually change the magnification (by using the tap-and-drag gesture, described below), iPod touch automatically returns to that magnification when you zoom in by double-tapping with three fingers.
Increase magnification: With three fingers, tap and drag toward the top of the screen (to increase magnification) or toward the bottom of the screen (to decrease magnification). The tap-and-drag gesture is similar to a double-tap, except you don’t lift your fingers on the second tap—instead, drag your fingers on the screen. Once you start dragging, you can drag with a single finger.
    _Move around the screen_:
When zoomed in, drag or flick the screen with three fingers. Once you start dragging, you can drag with a single finger so that you can see more of the screen. Hold a single finger near the edge of the display to pan to that side of the screen image. Move your finger closer to the edge to pan more quickly. When you open a new screen, Zoom always goes to the top-middle of the screen.
    _Large Text_:
Large Text lets you make the text larger in alerts, and in Calendar, Contacts, Mail, Messages, and Notes. You can choose 20-point, 24-point, 32-point, 40-point, 48-point, or 56-point text.
Set the text size: In Settings, choose General > Accessibility, tap Large Text, then tap the text size you want.
I hope this has helped a little - other than this option I think it pretty much is what it is.
BTW - This information can be found on page 208 of the iPod Touch iOS 4.2 Users Guide.
    Best wishes..
    Ricky

  • Is there anyway to find a new font on Pages for iPad? The letters are hard like a rock when you use foreign languages like Thai. The fonts on device do not support foreign language.

These are user to user help forums.  To tell Apple you want more fonts for Thai, go here:

But I suspect this is likely one of those things for which you will always have to use a full computer rather than a iPad.

  • How to use  font Symbol and Zapfdingbats. in Pages for iPad

Pages for ipad has font options of Symbol and Zapf Dingbats.  I would like to use one of these fonts to place arrows in lines of text. Does anyone know how to do this? I am using IOS6 and ipad 3

Does Pages on the iPad have an Inspector panel? In the Mac version, it's a round blue button in the icon bar at the top of the window.
If you've got that in the iPad's Pages app, then you can use it to manually raise or lower the baseline of one or more characters, then use the font size to make them smaller. Superscripting after a numeral can be automatic (in the Mac version) by setting that in the Prefs.
You can probably tell I don't have my iPad yet.

  • Adjust fonts on calendar for iPad's to see better.

    Hi,
I have an iPad2 and my parents can't see the calendar very well as the fonts are too small.  Have tried to adjust the font settings and that did not work.
I am requesting APPLE to update urgently the ability to adjust font size so you can read it better on iPad within the calendar.  There are so many people out there that can't see very well when adding appointments on the calendar for iPad's.
My parents have iPhone 4S and iPad 2, therefore needs to see their appointments on both ios devices as well as iCloud too.
APPLE!! please update it for everyone.
    Thanks

This is a user-to-user technical support forum. You're not addressing Apple here: You can let them know how you feel on the Feedback page:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback
In the mean time, you may want to poke around the App Store. There are lots (LOTS!) of calendar apps. You may find one that is easier for your parents to read.
    Best of luck.

  • How do you highlight text in Pages for iPad? The document I want to create and highlight is a pages document

I am trying to create a document in Pages for iPad and want to highlight various bits of text but can not find a function in the inspector for this. Can anyone help, please?

    Hi stuartdj,
I'm not finding a way to highlight text as one can do with iBooks (hold and swipe for black text, background yellow for example).
One option is to actually color the text itself.
Select the text, then in Style tools, tap the Font name at the top which shows the Text Options sheet where there is a Color option.  Would changing the font color to Red, Green or Purple accomplish your goals?
If you do want black text on a colored background (highlighted) it would need to be text in a text box where you can change the fill (background) color.  Style, Style Options, Fill.  But this is not inline text and doesn't flow like just coloring the font itself.

  • Text formatting in Pages for iPad 2

I am trying to apply text formattting within a document in pages.  It will not allow me to format text within a sentence to bold or italics for specific words.  The fonts in question do have these formats as options, but pressing the corresponding format button does nothing.  I can change the style to lists, etc.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Neil

It is not built in, but you can at least create and edit footnotes (I do not use end notes, but from limited testing, it appears to work with endnotes as well but converts them to footnotes). It sounds complicated when you break it down into steps as I do below, but it really is easy and intuitive.
FIRST: The underlying concept. If you have the latest Pages for iPad, then when it imports a Word document it imports footnotes (and endnotes) and you can edit them.
With that in mind, here is how you can create footnotes on the iPad.
#1 In Word create a one short sentence shell text with a short footnote, like "See the cat run /fn1" "fn/1 The cat was black").
#2 Import that shell document into your iPad, say with email "open using Pages."
#3 Save that shell document as your sour dough starter so to speak.
#4 Now create your new Pages iPad document.
#5 When you are ready to create your FIRST new footnote, copy and paste the shell sentence with shell footnote from your saved starter shell document into your new iPages document.
#5. Edit the shell sentence and footnote to a real sentence and footnote in new document.
#6 Thereafter, as you add new footnotes, either copy / paste one from new document or shell and edit. You will see they renumber properly, even when moved.

  • How to double space in Pages for iPad?

How to double space in Pages for iPad?

Double spacing is double spacing whether you are using Pages or Word. Double spacing is dependent upon the font size that you are using in the document no matter which word processing app that you use.
Pages on the iPad has limited fonts and chances are pretty good that if you import a Word file into Pages on the iPad, there will be some formatting or font issues.
But once again, Helvetica in Pages is pretty much the same Helvetica as you would be using in Word. If you use a font in Word that is not available in Pages, you will see a warning message that some elements of the original document have been changed.

  • Pages for iPad: change a Paragraph Style ?

    Hello all,
there is something that is driving me crazy...
using Pages for iPad is it possible to change the default settings of a Paragraph Style ?
I am not talking about importing a document with a custom set of styles but simply:
    - I open my document in Pages for iPad
    - I select a line of text and apply the "Header 1" style to it
    - I am not happy - for example - with the font size of the Header 1 style and I want to make all my Header 1 paragraphs change their font size
    - In the desktop version you would simply change/update the style you need, but on the iPad I cant find a way to change those values
(BTW, I seem to remember that I once managed to do this...)
    Thanks,

You seem to be able to copy and paste styles, but nowhere that I can find does it let you update the defined styles.
There is the manual which does not refer to any suitable method, and also some eBooks on the subject but I have scanned those and can find no reference to redefining styles either.
The more I play with Pages for iPad the more of a toy it seems. Sort of amazing that it does what it does on a mobile tablet, but when you get right down to it, not very useful.
