Well, actually, yes! Maybe the correct way would have been: "it might be useful knowledge for any who might not frequent this forum and the Imagenomic forum".
But then a cheerful "it might be useful knowledge for any who might not frequent this forum or the Imagenomic forum" could very well draw some attention of the
sensors concerned.
Come to think of it: "it might be useful knowledge for any who might not frequent this forum and if appropriate the Imagenomic forum" hits the nail on my head.

  • Arrange Documents menu blank

    Since several users, including me, have reported that the top part of the Arrange Documents menu is blank in PS CS 4, I thought it would be helpful to those doing a search on the problem.
    As seen in the other thread, removing the NIK plugins fixed at least one user's problem. In my case, it was removing the PhotoKit module from the Automate directory. I've been in touch with Pixel Genius Support about the PhotoKit problem, and they are having their engineer look into it.
    Bottom line, it seems that if you're having this problem you might want to start by removing plugins to see if that cures it.

    Chris - I appreciate the reply. It's frustrating though. CS4 has been out since mid-October - two months - and there is still finger pointing as to whose problem it is with various plug-ins, whether PixelGenius, NIK, OnOne, etc.; and even "fixed" plug-ins, like those from OnOne and NIK aren't fixed...they're workarounds or "live with it" solutions. Various plug-ins are an essential part of the workflow for many, probably the majority, of Photoshop users; it's disheartening that their seems to be so little collaboration between some of the major player and Adobe and vice-versa. I know it may be a bit too idealistic to think that updated plug-ins and the newest version of Photoshop would be released simulataneoulsy, but eight weeks without progress in some instances is baffling.

  • Arrange Document Tab Problem

    When I open 5 or 6 pictures from the bridge in Photoshop (CS4) to  open in Photoshop and I drop down the arrainge documents tab I can see about 1\2 of the commands to chose from (the bottom 1/2). I can't see the ones on the top of the tab, But when I move my mouse over the blank spot it shows in up in text, 2 up, 4 up, 5 up ect. How do I get them all to show like they should.

    This is a well-documented and much discussed problem with CS4.
    Make sure you have installed the 11.0.1 patch (check Help > About Photoshop)
    Make sure you video card drivers are updated from the manufacturer's site.
    If you have any 3rd party plug-ins try disabling or updating them.

  • CS4 blank "Arrange Documents" menu issue

    Hi,
    Will someone at Adobe eventually release a solution/fix to that annoying problem that lasts since CS4 is out? Plugin makers like Nik Software seem unable to find a fix, Adobe doesn't comment or react and users are still struggling with this odd bug. Is more than one year not enough to fix this?

  • Where is the "Arrange Document" Icon in Top Menu Bar in PS CS6?

    PS CS5 had icons in the top menu bar where the "Arrange Documents" icons were located.  Now I can only find them in the Window drop down list.  Are they still available in CS6?  It was nice not having to find them in the "Window" drop down list.

    Some UI (or is it UX, nowadays) genius at Adobe has reduced accessibility of frequently used features.
    If there are particular arrangements you often use, assign keystrokes to the menu items.

    Hi,
    A lot of users are hit by this bug that appears when installing certain
    plugins under CS4 (Nik Software plugins for example):
    - the menu bar buttons that should be highlighted in color when hovering
    them switch to a full grey area.
    - the 2 top Panels in the Arrange Documents drop down menu are
    invisible.
    Adobe say this is a problem with older plugins and a misunderstanding
    about how resources are managed in plugins (read : it's a developer
    mistake) and plugin vendors don't make any firm statement about this
    issue.
    The workaround that generally works is to close and reload the plugin
    but this works only for the current session.
    It would be nice if Adobe could give us users clear and detailed
    technical information about this issue. Many of us are developers or
    power users and since the communication between the plugin vendors and
    Adobe doesn't seem to be that effective, at least we would be able to
    transmit the information to the vendor's technical support ourselves.
    And as a developer, I'd like to know what mistake so many developers
    have made when using the CS4 SDK.
    It's very annoying to live with such trivial problems since months
    without seeing any fix released.

    However, it seems that there's a communication problem about this
    particular issue, at least with some major vendors. I received a message
    from Nik Software yesterday telling me that they are aware of the
    problem and working on a fix. However, this is not a new problem and
    since it is apparently a well-known misunderstanding about how some PS
    APIs are working and since many plugins from various vendors are
    triggering this misbehavior of the PS UI, I guess this must have been
    documented somewhere. I can't imagine that this is not the case. If Nik
    Software had received the right information from Adobe, the problem
    should be gone since a long time.
    Well, ok, I'll ask on the SDK forum.

  • Application Bar's "Arrange Documents" goes blank when curser hovers over it

    Whenever the cursor hovers over the "Arrange Documents", "Screen Mode", "Launch Bridge", "View Extras", "Hand Tool", "Zoom Tool" and "Rotate View Tool" the icons go blank.
    When clicking on them (i.e. "Arrange Documents") only alphanumeric is displayed. When moving the cursor over the blank area where icons should be displayed, only the pop-up tool tips are displayed.
    Has anyone encountered a similar problem?

    There is a work-around...
    The following is NIK's answer to my question:
    "Thank you for your email. This is a known issue that will be resolved with a future update. Until then there is a work around where if you just close and reopen the selective tool, the issue will go away. You can reopen the selective tool by going under the File > Automate option inside of Photoshop."

  • Photoshop CS4 'Arrange Documents' dialog

    Photoshop CS4:
    Problem: With several documents open by going to the ‘Arrange Documents’ flyout dialog they could be arranged in the manner required - however the dialog flyout on my setup is blank - I can still arrange the documents by clicking on the appropriate blank area - but I would like to see the appropriate indicators back in the dialog - they used to be there!
    Any pointers to a fix for this?
    I have tried removing and restoring CS4 - this didn’t fix the problem.

    I removed Nik Silver Efex Pro and CS4 is happily back to where it should be - I have no real need for the Nik programme which I was trying out.

    I have Reader 8.1 and the next document and previous document menu items under View > Go To are greyed out, even though I have several document open and they show up in the windows menu. Any thoughts? Thanks.

    Are you definitely opening the correct version of After Effects, or are you perhaps opening the After Effects Render Engine instead?
    The Render Engine is, as its name suggests, purely for rendering existing projects, and most other functions are greyed out.

  • Base Document and Target Document Menu for User Defined Forms

    Hi Experts,
    I am facing a problem regarding enabling the menu "Base Document" Menu UID="5898" and "Target Document" Menu UID="5899" . Both of these menu Items are not enabled for User Defined Form .Actually I have developed a user Defined form for Purchase Requisition that targets Purchase Order . User can Copy Line Items From Purchase Requisition to Purchase Order and I am tracking the DocEntry and LineId of PR into PO Item's using UDS . I want to Open this PR Document upon Click of BaseDocument Menu .I have tried all the options. I have used Form.enableMenu() method also . But none of those options work for this menu . I ahve also searched about this problem i this forum also but there is no soultion so far posted regarding this.
    I really want to confirm whether it is possible or not using SDK for User Defined Forms . Is there any possiblity of implementing any WorkArounds and Having this feature implemented .
    I am Expecting a true solutions as this Forum has so many Experienced Experts .

    It is not possible, because the requested menus are depending on the forms, and the are not exists,
    WorkAround:
    add the menus to the User Defined forms, and use right click to activate them:
    oForm.Menu.Add("5898", "Base Document", BoMenuType.mt_STRING, oForm.Menu.Count)
    oForm.EnableMenu("5898", True)
    And hanle the menu event when you clicked them and the form is your custom form.

  • Activate Base and Target Document menu's

    Hi all,
    i am facing a problem, i have added a new form and know i want want to activate Base Document and Target Document menu's of system for my form but when i am doing
               <b>oForm.EnableMenu("5898",True)</b>
    the system throws an exception that menu not found.
    can any body please tell me that is there any way to enable these menu's for user forms

    Hi Manu,
    In B1, only when target and base documents arre present for a particular Sales/Purchase document, the menu target doc and base doc menus are enabled. otherwise it will not be enabled. Since this is disabled by the system, when you try to activate the system disabled menu it throws an error.

    I tried in Firefox 3 and IE7 and they both seemed fairly slow
    for any action to take place. But IE7 did seem pretty slugish.
    It seems that you're already determined what the issue is,
    you have waaaaaay too many menu items. Seems to me that that number
    of items don't belong in a menu. There are even menus that are too
    long to appear entirely on the page, so they can't be easily
    accessed without accidentally hiding the menus again, which I did
    several times. IN particular:
    Cartuchos > Technologica
    If you cannot change to a different format to show all of the
    items, then perhaps you can split up the menu so that you don't
    have too many at one time. I checked the code of your page and it
    seems that you've got a lot of other scripting going on there
    besides Spry, so is the issue with Spry or with everything else
    you're trying to do with that menu. If you can try to recreate the
    page with only the menu items on it (and not pulled in dynamically
    on the fly), and then add back to your page a bit a time, you might
    be able to find out what is really causing the delays.

    I want to get the commandMenuItem tag's information, i use following code in onNodeClicked method try to get it,
