Arranging Folios in Content Viewer

My client is presenting to his executive board this week. He wants to show how the multi-folio app will look if he is given the go ahead from the money guys. I need to arrange 9 folios in Content Viewer having the two functioning folios in the first two spaces followed by the next seven place holders and pushing the Adobe Release out of view.
I thought that Content Viewer arranged the folios by most recently updated. This would mean I could load the ones I need on top last so they would be first and they would all push the Adobe Release out of sight. This does not to seem to be happening. Every time I update a folio it remains in it's original loaded position.
Any ideas on how to achieve this?

It's not by update date it's by publication date. Go into Folio Producer and change the publication dates so they are in the order they need to be.

  • How can I delete Adobe's intro folio from Content Viewer on iPad?

I've been building a demo folio for my boss to use pitching to a client, on the iPad.  We would like the opening screen of Adobe Content Viewer to list only our own folio(s), not Adobe's intro one about how to use the content viewer.  This folio doesn't have an archive button next to it, and I haven't found any way to delete it, whether I'm signed in with my Adobe ID or not...
    Is it possible?

This typically means the folio is no longer available for download from the Folio Producer Service.
If it were, it should appear and have a "download" button next to it after archiving.

  • Viewing DPS folio on Content Viewer on PC

I am developing a DPS folio on a Mac for publication on iOS devices. I have a co-worker who needs to review my content on a PC. He is not using Adobe apps but has downloaded the Content Viewer on his PC. I have shared my folio with him and he can read it on an iPad. But we have not found a way for him to access my folio on a PC. Is this possible?

    Thanks Bob,
Actually, the content viewer on a PC can be downloaded at http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-suite/help/installing-digital-publishing-tools.h tml and since it's a standalone executable, it does not require InDesign, etc., to be installed.
Yes, this person has an Adobe ID (but not Creative Suite) and yes, I have successfully shared this folio.
He and others would like to use Adobe Connect to review this app with me. The group I work within are mostly developers using PCs and I am developing documentation on a Mac/Creative Suite.

  • Error when attempting to update DPS folio in Content Viewer

Long story short, out of nowhere I can't update a folio in my iPad Content Viewer app.
    I get the error message:
    Error During Download
Please try your download again later.
This never happened before, everything has been going smooth until now. Please see screenshots below.
    Any ideas, Adobe?

I remembered a workaround from a few years ago when a similar problem existed, so I thought I'd give it a try –– First, I removed the folio from my iPad so I could start the download from scratch. Then, as soon as the first article starts to download I quickly go to "stack" view and then the viewer app will download a few articles. But then it pauses. But if I scroll back to a previous article with my finger (still in "stack" view) it will begin downloading a few pages again, then pauses again. As soon as I tap the screen and scroll back one article, it begins downloading again. At least with this method of "babying" it along I can hopefully meet my deadline. Hopefully the service will get fixed by the time I have to share the folio for review by the editorial and advertising teams.

  • Unable to view folio in Content Viewer... folio not loading

For the last week I have been unable to load any folio and view it on the Adobe Content Viewer on my iPAD. This is getting very frustrating. I have tried rebuilding it. I have tried using properties, V27 and V28 - both unsuccessfully. This problem has been going on for over a week. I really don't know how to fix it and there is nothing that is understandable on the FORUM.
PLEASE can an ADOBE STAFF member address this issue.
I have deadlines to make it work, there seems to be a very great lack of communication from ADOBE on this issue inspite of what I am reading on the forum.
I can build it in InDesign, but when I have the iPad Attached to my computer and I open the content viewer app nothing shows up. Also when I go on to Adobe's site it isn't there either.

Our help topic on how to preview content is available at http://helpx.adobe.com/digital-publishing-suite/help/preview-folios-articles.html.
If you are on a Mac the best way to do this is to use preview on device. The steps for getting that set up are in the article I linked to above. If you are on a PC you'll have to upload your folio to our servers before it'll show up in your content viewer. By default your folios will be created offline, but you can upload them from the Folio Builder panel flyout menu.

  • Any ideas as to why unable to view new folio in Content Viewer?

The content viewer is new as well as DPS tools (running InD CS6). Able to create folio with folio builder and view with desktop preview but never shows up in Content Viewer.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Issue was with opm.db file in OOBE folder, as it wasn't accepting the credentials. Renaming fixed it.
Location of OOBE folder on Windows: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\Adobe
    On Mac: HDD/Users/{username}/Library/Application Support/Adobe/

  • Adobe DPS Folio and Content Viewer Query

    Hello,
I am currently creating folios using the Foilo Overlays and Folio Builder and then previewing them on the Content Viewer on the iPad. My question is after the 1st May will I still have the ability to do this? I don't create app just preview them on my iPad to see how they work. If anyone can give me an answer it would be much appreciated.
    Regards,
    Alan

Yes, after May 1, you'll still be able to create, edit, and share folios, and you can use Adobe Content Viewer to view folios. You just won't be able to build single-folio apps using a Single Edition or Creative Cloud license.

  • View .folio via Content Viewer?

    Hi all,
I’m really desperate for help here, and I’m sorry if my question is a stupid one. I’ve spent three days search for an answer, and just cannot find a definitive answer anywhere.
I am a CC subscriber, so have access to the single edition DPS features, via Indesign CC.
I want to produce an interactive book/magazine/`dos publication in Indesign, via DPS. This publication is not for submission to Apple or anywhere else. I simply want to distribute the finished publication to the students in my academy for them to view via Adobe Content Viewer, on their desktop computers and mobile devices.
Im so confused about this. To enable them to view the publication via the content viewer, would I somehow let them have the final .folio file? Would this be viewable on another machine via CV?
If this is not the case, is there any other way I can produce and distribute an interactive document (featuring video) from indesign.
Seriously, any help anyone can give will be most appreciated, and may just preserve what little sanity I have left!
    Kind regards to all,
    Tim Shelbourne.

Thanks for the quick reply, Bob.
Can I ask, in what way would it be cumbersome? Is there a practical limit on how many people a folio can be shared with that way.. any impact on the originators system/account? Or just cumbersome in a practical way, of that being the only way to add people to the share?
So there is no way to physically distribute a .folio file then? Is it the case that the only non-Apple way of distributing publications is via the enterprise edition, via a custom viewer, or have I got this stuff entirely wrong?
My apologies, I'm struggling at the moment, but I'm a quick learner! ;-)
    Again, thanks for your help,
    T

  • Folio Producer, Shared Folios and Content Viewer

    Hi,
Forgive me if this answer is posted elsewhere and after some searching I wasn't able to find an answer.
I have several folios that students share with me. When you have 30 students or even more each semester sharing folios it starts to add up!
So, I was hoping I could use the Folio Producer to manage which folios (that they have shared with me) show up in my iPad content viewer app. I thought I could check, "Content Viewer for Web Only" in the bottom right of the window when I highlight the folio but when I do, the folio still shows up in the content viewer app.
The number of folios in my content viewer app is unyieldy and some folios aren't showing.
    1. Am I using that feature correctly?
    2. Is there any way to manage the folios so I can keep them but not have to delete?
    3. If folios are not showing in the content viewer app, does this mean there is a limit to the number of folios that can be viewed in the content viewer app?
    Thank you in advance.
    Deb

    1. No, that feature is for something entirely different (related to social sharing)
    2. Not really. When they are in your account they show up in Adobe Content Viewer. That's what Adobe Content Viewr is for: to show you the folios in your account.
    3. There's no limit. If the folios aren't showing up it probably means they aren't the right size for an iPad. They have to be 1024x768 or 2048x1536.

  • Issues downloading folios in content viewer

    Hello,
I have been having issues updating folios in the Adobe Content Viewer on iPad. After many attempts, I still get "Cannot Install Item: Please Restart the app and download your purchase again." I have done that several times and it has not worked. Any ideas?

    Hi
Can anyone help me on this? Is there a new standard for what we can do with image sequences?
I have stripped everything out of one page and all i now have is a 600 frame jpeg image sequence. It is running at 30fps. Thats it. And still it will not download once it has been uploaded to the cloud. It works perfectly when viewed on the desktop, i am seriously lost.
    Thanks

  • Can't close folio in Content Viewer on iPad

    Hi all,
Uploaded a student's folio to test it. Didn't realise he had one image sequence that covered the entire screen. This means I can't navigate out of the folio, to get back to library, to delete it - as all I'm doing is activating the image sequence when I tap it. I tried unpublishing it through Folio Producer, but it's still on my iPad. Any suggestions?
    Thanks.
PS: Also deleted in from Folio Builder in InDesign...still there.

    Hi Bob,
Thanks for the suggestion, but I've tried quitting the app. When I activate it again the folio is still in full screen view. I've shut down the iPad and again the same story when I turn it on and launch the app.
I'm not sure what you mean by ACV, but if it means quitting or turning the device off - I've tried it.
    Thanks for the reply.

  • A way to remove old folio from Content Viewer?

    Hi,
I'm buffled, there is no delete/remove option within ACV for testing sideloaded folios?

    Hit the Archive button.

  • Content Viewer is down when opening folio which is containing +50 overlays(html/js)

I have a +50 web content (html/js) folio ovarlays in one folio, to implementing interactive content.
When opening that folio, Adobe Content Viewer is suddenly down.
Is there any good way to solve this?
    Or
How can I investigate the probrem?

If you have 20 pages in an article, and each of those has web overlays, I'm not surprised you're running out of memory. To ensure a smooth experience for readers within an article we do load more than just the first page.
I'd suggest trying to split those articles up into more articles, or reduce the number of web overlays.

  • Content Viewer won't update the library

    Hey guys!
    Big trouble here.
After I last updated an uploaded folio, the Content Viewer on the iPad out of the sudden was not recognizing any update on that folio anymore.
So I deleted the folio from the iPad and updated the library. What happened? The folio wasn't even there to download anymore. And yes, it appears on the Folio Producer and it is active.
It's quite a big folio (+100 mb) and I have even uploaded it again with another name and still the Viewer won't show it on the library.
I have tried to upload smaller folios and it worked just fine.
Have no idea what's the problem neither the solution.
    Anyone with the same problem?

Problem resolved, with a bit of help from Adobe Support. It was Websense, our organizations web content filter. This is what I got from Adobe Support, which I sent to the IT guys.
In order for the content viewer on the iPad to work and bypass the network, make sure this two Adobe domain/url is allowed through the network.

  • Navto links not working in Content Viewer

When I view my folio in Content Viewer, the buttons I created to navigate to other articles within the folio don't work. I selected the hyperlink option and typed navto://articlename in the field, so I'm not sure what the problem could be. Has anyone else had this issue using CS5?

I have recreated the button many times... with a solid fill, without a fill, on a new layer on top of everything else... It is not just that article. The Tech Data navto below it does the exact same thing.
Also, inside rt8030f, I have navto links back to navto://lbcranelit#2, indicating to go back to page 3 in the main document. Those links don't work either.
I deleted rt8030f and rt8030t from the folio builder, copied the files into the same folder as the main document, and re-added them to foliobuilder.
I know this is going to be something stupid that I'm doing, but I cannot figure it out. I've spent hours trying to debut this thing.
