Arrears calculation for Form 3A for EPF

Dear gurus
Arrears will not be shown in forms 3A and 6A, instead they will be shown in the month in which they have originated.
Example. . if basic is increased effective from Jan in feb, and arrears are paid in Feb, the contribution for these arrears will not be shown in Feb, but will be shown for the month of Jan.
Is there any user exit or badi to control this??
I am using statdard report for that through transaction code PC00_m40_PFY.
Please Help.

Hi Folks,
I have searched the Oracle site and documentations high and low
for detailed information on tuning of params for Forms Services
on AIX under 9iAS 1.0.2.0. There seems to be non except for
pool=..., record=performance, etc and I have notbeen able to
obtain info on how to tune these params.
I have a goal as follows:
a. To have 4000 Web Forms users connected to the Database thru
the 9iAS/Fomrs Services (this is apart from response time)
b. I have a 4way SP node with 8GB RAM
Initial tests of 100 simultaneous users have indicated that CPU
consumption is between 70% & 90% and the memory consumption is
800MB. Pool was changed from 1 to 10 and 12. There is no change
in CPU usage but memory usage increase to 950MB with increase in
PAGE Faults. Performance collector shows garbage (-ve time count
and -ve %age for certain activities).
Any direction/tips on bettering the thru-put or achieving the
goal is very helpful and greatly appreciated.

There are loads of paper on OTN that talk about tuning the Forms
middle tier. Check out:

start.
The important thing to note is that unlike the database, you
tune the application and not the Forms Services themselves.
Also, it does not really matter what platform you are in terms
of the techniques you use to tune the application.
This should help you and if you have any more specific problems
then please post again.

Hi
The situtation which you had described can be changed by chaning the PF deduction methood to gross carry forward.
IN Standard PF retro behaviour follows the deduction carry forward method in which the PF deduction of any previous period will appear in the monthly return of that respective month. This is as per our understanding from where any retro change should be applicable for that period.
For any alternate behaviour you may choose the Gross Carry Forward forward method for the retro.
SAP note No: 431991: "Changing Retroactive Behavior of PF Functionality". You need to follow the steps as mentioned in the SAP note.

Destination for Forms contents

I am making a form for a website that will allow the user to send his/her email and comments to a nightclub managment so they can in turn send out information on parties to all who submit theyre emails. I was practicing the technique in a practice file. I was able to create the text fields as well as the submit button. My only issue and question is how do i set up the submit button properly so when the button is pressed the information is sent to a specific email address.

The form's action needs to point to a server side script that processes the form contents. For starters check with your host to see if they have a script that will work with your hosting plan. And please search this forum for 'form mail' for more details.

Form validation for sql submission

is there a way i can take the fields of my forms and replace any instance of ' with /' so that it can be submitted to my Postgres database successfully? i've come across a basic javascript function that replaced "a" with "z" and i tried modifing that, but it crashes my browser.
surely being a common requirement for form submission for database entry, there must be a function written somewhere that handles this
i know its not strickly java, but its something anyone that has developed in JSP, PHP or whatever must have come across

is this a JavaScript question or a Java queston ?

Additional functions for form creation

Is there any additional functions for selecting members for forms.
For example ILvl0Descendants used to be hidden and if you knew the syntax you could type it in. Now of course it is an option but wondering if there might be others that are still hidden but work.
Specifically I want to use @UDA but if there are others they might fufill my needs.
Ultimately kind of annoying that forms don't allow for all the standard functions available in Planning and Essbase

One way of doing it is by incorporating this computation in the formula which calculates your basic salary.
If your employee's hire date (EMP_HIRE_DATE - database item) is after your Payroll period start date (PAY_PROC_PERIOD_START_DATE), then currently the pro-ration calculation is performed.
You'll have to insert another piece of control in this part which will check if the days between the Payroll period start date and emp hire date are holidays (I assume you have your holidays stored somewhere in the system) or not and adjust the "start date" used for the pro-ration with every holiday found between EMP_HIRE_DATE and PAY_PROC_PERIOD_START_DATE.

Cannot retrieve definition for form bean null

Hi,
          I have a page jsp which contains a form. This form contains an action
          towards (page.do ).
          I configured struts-config.xml file in whom I put a configuration of
          action ( type=xxx.pageAction ) but not form because I have not need of
          it.
          During the execution it show that it tries to instantiate a bean of form
          corresponding to a configuration of action and post this error message
          " Root causes of ServletException javax.servlet.jsp. JspException:
          Cannot retrieve definition for form bean null "
          Could you indicate to me where is the problem ?
          Here is my configuration :

There's little reason to use Struts infrastructure to set this up since you have no model, and the controller aspect is well-defined (just go to "NewProject"!). You're basically providing a link from one page to another, akin to doing an <a href>, and you wouldn't use Struts to do a simple link :).
I would just just use standard HTML.
If you're okay with using Javascript, this is the simplest:

Or you can use a standard HTML form, as you've basically done already:

Form opening for some users but not others

I created a form with an area for the recipient to simply type their name, save the document and email it back. This works for some but I have a user getting an error message:
"This document does not allow changes to be saved. Any changes you have made will not be included in the document when it's mailed. Do you want to continue?"
Could this be an issue with the user's Reader? They cannot save or email the document once they type in their name.

Versions of Reader prior to version XI could not save filled-in forms. Version 7 with updates was the first version of Reader that could save forms for which special Extended Reader Rights were applied to.
Which version of Reader are the users with problems using?
If before version XI and version 7 or newer, then you need to apply Extended Reader Rights to the form. For users with version 6 or older, they will have to upgrade to a newer version of Reader.

In the item interest calculation, you can tick the 'open items' for calculation of interest and also select the 'no cleared items'.

'My Menu' refers to the third tab on the Main Menu, and the
authorization of 'Organize My Menu' works as below:
- Full Authorization: Allows the user to access the Organize User Menu
window (Tools -> User Menu -> Organize) and customize the menu.
- No Authorization: The user cannot open this window.

"test printing" via SE71 only prints what exists in the form. Here your form is missing TITLEDET window and element.
The print program tries to print TITLEDET but it does not exist. Could you check SAP notes to get correct versions of print program and sapscript form.
