Arrow heads not converting from Reviewer to 3D pdf

Arrow heads on dimensions created in 3D Reviewer do not export to 3D pdf.
Is this a bug, or have I missed a setting somewhere?
If there's a way of making it work, please let me know!
thanks,
Ian

Hi William,
It's a real shame that this issue isn't going to be resolved soon.
For some of our work, we're planning to Reviewer to create the PMI and issue to be read as pdf.
The lack of arrow heads is not a job-stopper for us, but it's the first thing people notice!
'Spoiling the ship for a halfpenny of tar' is a phrase that springs to mind (although I guess the software cost to include the arrow heads in the conversion will cost more than a halfpenny!).
cheers,
Ian

  • Links not converting from word 2003 to pdf

    I am using Word 2003.  A fellow worker made a few changes to the document, which including inserting information into the word text and changing heading etc.  Now when I attempt to convert to PDF not all the links works.  The links created to return the reader of the document back to the index (which are set up on all pages) are not working.  I had a similar problem before but I dont recall what/how fixed it.

    How are you creating the PDF (a lot of info missing here)? You need to use PDF Maker to get the links.

  • XML: LPX-00200: could not convert from encoding UTF-8 to UCS2

    Hi,
    Greetings!
    I have special character(s) in a column and that character is chr(189) and because of that when i use the xml functions in my query it returns below error.
    ORA-31011: XML parsing failed
    ORA-19202: Error occurred in XML processing
    LPX-00200: could not convert from encoding UTF-8 to UCS2
    Error at line 1
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.XMLTYPE", line 0
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    I am using sys_xmlagg and getting above error when i encounter the data as below:
    "Dixon¿s Chicago".
    Note: When ever It encounters the bold character string it fails ... Any help !!!
    And one more thing when i create another record with same data by copy and pasting it works fine and when i did a dump on that column data its different. see the below result of dump.
    Naveen.
    SQL> desc temp_xml;
    Name Null? Type
    TNO NUMBER(4)
    NAME VARCHAR2(255)
    SQL> select name,length(name),dump(replace(name,chr(189),'')) data_dmp from temp_xml;

    SQL>
    if you observe the above 2 rows the fist row shows length as 12 and second shows as 11. actually 2nd rows works fine but first gives error. I am not able to see where that hidden character is and not able to remove that character.

    Any clue or hint which could explain this behaviour? What NLS parameters can I check in order to help you understand the situation?

    Any suggestions here? I'm not really allowed to change any database-parameters or doing an upgrade
    Maybe using something else in the convert function?

  • Mediator To Spring Error-Could not convert from java interface to interface

    Hi,
    I have a requirement to using a Spring component and my composite application would be File Read -> Mediator -> Spring Component -> File Write.
    I have to read a file and using mediator map the same to the Spring input and write the Spring component output to a file.
    I have created a Java interface ( Package Name - transformtospring , Interface Name - TransformInterface) and also created a Java Class ( TransformImpl ) which implements the Interface in this package. Saved all these artifacts in SCA-INF/src folder of the application.
    My Spring Bean configuration file is as follows ( saved the file in the same folder as composite.xml )
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="windows-1252" ?>
    <beans xmlns="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans"
    xmlns:util="http://www.springframework.org/schema/util"
    xmlns:jee="http://www.springframework.org/schema/jee"
    xmlns:lang="http://www.springframework.org/schema/lang"
    xmlns:aop="http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop"
    xmlns:tx="http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx"
    xmlns:sca="http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/weblogic-sca"
    xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance"
    xsi:schemaLocation="http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans http://www.springframework.org/schema/beans/spring-beans-2.5.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/util http://www.springframework.org/schema/util/spring-util-2.5.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop http://www.springframework.org/schema/aop/spring-aop-2.5.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/jee http://www.springframework.org/schema/jee/spring-jee-2.5.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/lang http://www.springframework.org/schema/lang/spring-lang-2.5.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx http://www.springframework.org/schema/tx/spring-tx-2.5.xsd http://www.springframework.org/schema/tool http://www.springframework.org/schema/tool/spring-tool-2.5.xsd http://xmlns.oracle.com/weblogic/weblogic-sca META-INF/weblogic-sca.xsd">
    <!--Spring Bean definitions go here-->
    <bean class="transformtospring.TransformImpl" name="TransformBean"/>
    <sca:service name="TransformService" target="TransformBean"
    type="transformtospring.TransformImpl"/>
    </beans>
    I have created a Spring Context which uses the above Spring Configuration. When i tried to map the mediator output to Spring , i'm getting an error shown below.
    " Could not convert from java interface to interface type wsdl . Exception=java.lang.ClassNotFoundException transformtospring.TransformImpl "
    Please do let me know where exactly i'm doing wrong.

    Hi All,
    I could able to work this one out now !!!
    But i'm having an issue mapping the input to this service. The method signature for the service is as follows:
    public byte[] processData(byte[] input) throws Throwable{
    So the input for this Service is a byte array. Now i'm mapping the data from a File Input ( Read File - opaqueElement ) to this service directly ( using mediator ).
    Now when i have looked into the message in the Enterprise Manager, following is the message structure from Read File input to the service.
    <message>

    and the corresponding response message ( No output ) back from the service is:

    I have included System.out statements in my Java class , but its not printing anything in the logs.
    I'm under the impression that the underlying infrastructure ( mediator ) transparently encodes and decodes data from base64Binary to java byte array. So could anyone help me on this !!!

  • Could not convert from java interface to interface type wsdl ??

    i have a problem wheni have a problem when i develop bpel using mediator and wire to ejb service. When the mediator wire to ejb service, i found the error : Could not convert from java interface to interface type wsdl.... How to solve the problem?

    I followed the case closely (with the same name of classes, methods, etc), but still get the error: “Could not convert from java interface to interface type wsdl.Exception=nl.amis.calculator.Calculator”. I created a Java class to test the lookup and function correctly. However, when I try to wire a Mediator to this Reference, I run into an Interface Conversion Error. I’ve included the line javaInterface = “nl.amis.calculator.Calculator” in file composite.xml, but still get error. Could you help me?

  • Lines Not Converting From Autocad to Pdf

    I am using Windows 7 Pro, Autocad 2011 (full version), Acroplot Pro 2013 and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
    Using Acroplot Pro, we convert Autocad files to pdf. We are having issues with some lines, or entire sections of a drawing, not converting to pdf file. As if someone erased random lines from the drawing.
    I've walked through this process with Acroplots help line and they say it's not on their end. I know the issues has nothing to do with Autocad because I can re-do this process and the pdf will come out fine the 2nd time. It's rare and random, maybe one file per 100, but causes a problem when you're converting hundreds of files and don't know which one may be wrong.
    Thanks in advance.

    Sorry if I was unclear, we load our cad files into Acroplot which then utilizes Adobe Acrobat Pro claims it's an issue with Acrobat Pro to create the pdf. After walking through the process with Acroplot, they say it's an issue with Acrobat Pro.

  • Converting from WAV, or "converting but secretly not converting" from wav to AAC

    I got this particular problem I just found out about. I imported a wav file into iTunes, and I assumed that means it gets converted to whatever format I set iTunes up for (in my case AAC). But when I then sync my iPod, I get the message that the file that was originally in WAV, cannot be imported because it is not in a compatible format. Yet the same song plays fine in iTunes. This does not make sense, unless iTunes does NOT convert files you import into the required file standard, but just copies them in, and iTunes happened to be able to play wav files. But then again, if iTunes is compatible with WAV files, why isn't iPod?
    Now, I have to add, I have the file already on my computer, so I just drag the wav file into my iTunes. Does that mean iTunes copies the file over to the iTunes library, or does it actually convert it into the file format set up?

    As for importing, I assume you refer to importing via drag-dropping files into iTunes? because according to my preferences, when I insert a CD it DOES convert  to a particular file type.
    Kryn, yes, that is the importing that Dave is referring to.  Ripping from CD is a different process.
    As far as your WAV file, iTunes and iPod can both play WAV.  They are pretty reliable if it is a CD-quality WAV, but sometimes have trouble if it is a low bitrate WAV such as the kind that come out of voice recorders.  If that is the problem, use a 3rd party conversion tool such as Switch to convert it to an MP3 or AAC.

  • Conversion of postscript (converted from secure or encrypted pdf) to pdf

    I have a postscript file which has been created from secure or encrypted (opening restriction) pdf.
    Now when i use distiller to convert this postscript file to pdf then distiller cannot produce a pdf file.
    The log file contains following text:
    This PostScript file was created from an encrypted PDF file.
    Redistilling encrypted PDF is not permitted.
    %%[ Flushing: rest of job (to end-of-file) will be ignored ]%%
    %%[ Warning: PostScript error. No PDF file produced. ] %%
    1) Is there a way to convert this postscript file into pdf ?
    I have a limitation that i cannot remove security from secure pdf.
    2) Do distiller provide any settings which can be changed to convert
    this kind of ps(from secure pdf) to pdf.
    3) Can we provide password to distiller during process of conversion to
    pdf.
    4) If above methods do not work then is there a way we can
    programatically using Distiller Api's for conversion to pdf.
    Like methods 'FileToPdf' etc.
    Thanks in advance.

    I am facing a similar problem.
    My workflow dictates that I convert the input PDF job initially to PS and finally back to PDF. If the input PDF file is secure (it's not encrypted - you will still be able to open the document), the redistillation of PS to PDF fails while using Normalizer 6.0 && 9.0 libraries. If I use Normalizer 505 library, the redistillation succeeds. I have checked with the same generated PS on both Distiller 6.0 && 9.0, and both the versions fail to reconvert as well. I am a little surprised that 6.0 and 9.0 will fail to do something that 505 library manages.
    Any suggestions?

  • Converting from Word 2013 to PDF - grey background appears

    When converting my document from Word 2013 to pdf, it appears to be on a grey background. Now my images are "sticking" out instead of blending in.
    How can I get the background to appear white, as it does on my screen.

    Be sure that WORD gets patched too. Often these problems turn out to be OFFICE issues. You might try a sample print to paper to see the issue. Also, AA is at 8.1.6.
    There have been several problems folks have had with WORD 2007. The updates help some, but it is almost as though MS put some hooks in WORD 2007 to cross up Acrobat in some cases. I have run PPT documents with earlier versions of WORD and Acrobat with no problem. WORD 2007 would produce a totally different result that was not expected. There are even differences in graphics that you put in a DOC file versus a DOCX file. The latter seems to be doing some strange things to graphics. I would tell you more, but I really try to stay away from WORD unless I need it for compatibility with others.

  • Acrobat XI Standard will not convert any office documents to PDFs.

    I have previously been able to convert Publisher and Excel files into PDFs using Adobe...but today it will not even recognize those files and will not convert them.  why not?  Is this really the only way I can get tech support for this product?

    How are you trying to do the conversion. It sounds like you are trying to open them in Acrobat. It may be that your OFFICE did an update and PDF Maker is not working within those products. PDF Maker has to be active and working for you to open those files in Acrobat. You could also open the product and print to the Adobe PDF printer. If that works, then try the Acrobat menu from within the product. That menu is the PDF Maker product and has to work for what you are trying to do.
    Also, check your updates to be sure you are current with Acrobat.
