Art work for my podcast didn't upload to iTMS

I used GB and iWeb's podcast template to produce and post my first podcast. Everything went okay, except that the artwork did not load. Instead of the art work that I designed, a portion of the background for my iWeb podcast page shows up as the artwork.
Here's copy of the URL on iTMS for my podcast: http://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewPodcast?id=135304131&s=143 441
Could someone explain to how I can fix this.

I too have the exact same problem. It appears to be an error in the RSS feed generated by iWeb.
I found a link in the XML file for the "background" artwork from the iWeb template I chose to use. I replaced that line of code with location of the artwork I want to appear on iTunes Music Store.

Alas to no avail. Despite repeatedly pinging the Music Store it persists in using the background graphic even though the RSS feed no longer contains a link to that file.
All attempts to contact Apple about this have gone unanswered.
HELP.

There's no reason you can't go on using iWeb for this - with iWeb '08 you have to publish to a local folder (i.e. on your Mac) and then upload the contents of the folder (not the folder itself) to your hosting service: and you have to make sure you enter the new URL in the Publish information or the feed won't work properly; this done, an iWeb podcast should work fine.
Of course there is still the problem that iWeb is not supported and sooner or later a system upgrade may break it. You could look at RapidWeaver: you can make podcasts with that, though the last time I looked into that - which was admittedly some time back - I didn't feel it was ideal for this. There are lots of other podcast creation programs or services around. WordPress is OK but it may be a bit of a steep learning curve: Libsyn is an online service that seems to work reliably. Blogger writes messy feeds but does usually work. Podcast Maker used to work well - I used it myself a few years back - but it rather looks as if it's gone moribund and it may not be reliable with Lion/Mountain Lion, so you would want to check into that.

  • I am having trouble adding art work for itunes 12.0.1.26

I am having trouble adding art work for itunes 12.0.1.26. Trying to add artwork after you go into "get info" and then "add artwork" doesn't work. Can anyone help. BTW, went into the authorization edit and gave my user id permission to modify things as was suggested in one posting, but that didn't work either.

  • Art work for Albums/songs

How and where do i get album Art work for my Album/tracks ????

Generally all you need to do is fill in an appropriate Album Artist. For more details see my article on Grouping Tracks Into Albums, in particular the topic One album, too many covers.

  • Album Art works for most, but not all

I was reading previous forums on the subject, but no clear answer was given..
The album art shows up fine in itunes and my library and works for most of my music on my ipod, but how come some album's art does appear? I have it set manually and select 'Get Info' then 'Artwork' and add it from there, then drag in the finished product to my ipod. I've been doing that and it works fine for most of the albums, but every so often, the album art will not appear on my ipod. Am I doing something wrong? I take them all from the same source (amazon.com) but it makes no sense to me how some randomly don't appear.
I tried deleting the artwork and re-adding it, but nothing happened again. If you could answer why it works for most but not all or how I can get the album art to appear for the ones it will not by re-doing something, it would be appreciated. thanks.

I encountered the same problem in the beginning. When I compared the size of the original images, the working ones seemed to be smaller in general, so I reduced the size of all covers I intended to upload on the pod to 300x300 pixels.
This seemed to work - for 2 days. I bought the pod on friday, had pictures on sunday, but on Monday (after the first time the pod was fully discharged) none were left left.
So I ended searching this forum for related problems...
And decided to join my problem to this entry.

  • Changing the art work of a podcast

Hi I'm using iweb to post some educational podcasts.
    www.podcastschool.net
Problem is the artwork that iweb uses for each podcast is a cropped image of the first frame of my video podcast. Can anyone help me reassign my own art work?
    Thanks in advance!
    jonnie

    Hi Jonnie!
The default behavior of that placeholder box is to take whatever is there and create a square crop of it for the preview image on the main podcast page. And in the case of a podcast, the only way to change that image and preserve the link to the podcast in the ITMS is to make the image part of the media file itself. This is fairly straightforward for a straight audio podcast, but with a video podcast you have to insert the image into the existing video track.
I'm not very familiar with doing this. One method would be to simply cut and paste the image that you want into the first frame of the video podcast. I think there are other methods like assigning a poster frame to a quicktime movie. I'm not sure how these methods affect the ability of the podcast to be downloaded from the ITMS.

  • Art work for song title

    Hi All
I wonder is there a tool on that can be used to search for art work based on artist and song title rather that album.
Surly there must be something out there that can do this rather simple task, or is it that simple!
    Thanks

As far as I can tell this works as it has always worked.

  • Sound Check doesn't work for some podcasts?

Apologies for cross-posting, but this didn't get any replies in the Using iTunes section.
Podcasts that I subscribe to are recorded at quite different levels. This is pretty annoying when my morning playlist goes from a really quiet one to a really loud one.
It seemed that Sound Check would be the perfect solution, but not so: while Sound Check has set Volume levels for all the music tracks I checked, and many podcasts, there are quite a few podcasts that Get Info / Summary reports the Volume as "Not available." This doesn't seem to be just a display glitch: when I turn Sound Check on and off, the volume doesn't change on these tracks. As Murphy would predict, the ones that need the most adjustment don't get any
I haven't been able to work out what is different between the tracks that do and don't have Sound Check volumes. Two example podcasts that do get Sound Check volumes are Slacker Astronomy (most recent episodes) and StarDate; two that don't are Classical Music Spotlight and Writer's Almanac.
I tried converting one episode to AAC. As expected, the AAC file gets a Sound Check volume. But it's in the iTunes library Music group, not in the podcast.
Is there any way to get Sound Check to process these other podcast episodes?
    iBook G4, iMac G5   Mac OS X (10.4.8)

Sound check is basically useless. Hasn't worked effectively on any model I've purchased. However, as others have pointed out, you can adjust the volume of a song so that your playlists don't cause public embarrassment. Simply do a control "i" on a particular song. In the "info" tab, you can increase or decrease the volume of a particular tune. However, if you make the adjustment, be sure to adjust all of the tune from that album. Otherwise, when you play the album, the song you tweaked will have a different volume from the rest of tunes on the album. It ain't a great fix... but it's better than what the programmers have done with sound check.

  • Art work for some album are misplaced in my MBP and also iPhone5

Artwork for some albums are misplaced in my MBP and also iPhone. What should I do to correct this?

    Hey there vtec99,
It sounds like you are syncing photos from iPhoto on your computer but not all the photos you set to sync are actually coming over, and they are disorganized. Based on what you are describing, I would recommend deleting the iPod Photo cache which stores picture information that iTunes uses to sync photos from your iPhoto library. The following article will help you do that:
iTunes: Understanding the iPod Photo Cache folder
When you use iTunes to sync photos to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod, iTunes creates a folder called iPod Photo Cache. The iPod Photo Cache stores photos that are optimized for display on your device. The location of this folder depends on the syncing options you select. In iTunes, if you change the selection in the Sync Photos From menu, a new iPod Photo Cache folder will be created (and the previous folder will remain).
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
    Take care,
    Sterling

  • Can I add my own art work to my albums in iTunes and/or share them with the Apple Store for downloading?

Can I add my own art work to my albums in iTunes and/or share them with the Apple Store for others to download?

    Thanks Brij011
I thought that there was a way to do this. However, it would be neat to be able to upload correct Art Work for album covers so that other could share instead of having to scan / take picture and then import. I guess Apple would be inodated with incorrect pictures if we could upload to them.
    Oh well... thanks again !

  • GetURL:: works for all but my client!

I have a two buttons at the end of a movie that should go to
next page when clicked. Works great for me on PC with XP or Vista
and IE 6 & 7, FF 2 and Netscape 7. Works on Mac OS 10.2 with
Safari. Works on my friend's Mac with OS 10.3.9 and IE 5.2. Does
not work for my client who has a similar set up to my friend. Works
for her with Safari but not with IE 5.2. The button that has
animation animates but goes nowhere for her.
    Link to page:

I am using an absolute path. Load Movie from preloader was
used to get to that main SWF if that makes a difference.
Also can't find an old version, like Flash 7 to put on my Mac
with IE 5.2 so I can't test here. Flash Player 9 does not support
    IE for the Mac.
Thanks if anyone can help me.
    -Sue

I have the original misbehaving SWF file online, yes. My old
Mac Powerbook is on dialup with no antivirus software, so I
hesitate to go online with that unless I have to. But you're right,
I should test it online too. (My main computer, a PC, is on
    broadband with antivirus)
I'll tell you something really weird about this. With the
original SWF file when I have it connected to my web site as I do
for testing the web site the buttons work for her. When I uploaded
it to her web site on the same web host, different domain, the same
file would not work. I haven't checked the HTML page it's embedded
in really closely to see if there is a difference, but I actually
downloaded the SWF file, from my web site and uploaded the same one
to hers and it didn't work for her even though it worked for her on
    mine.
I'm using a preloader, a SWf file, made with SWF Lock 'n'
Load that is the file that is loaded first and it calls the main
SWF with LoadMovie from the preloader file. Unfortunately, SWF Lock
'n' Load does not make a .fla file to examine to see what's going
on. I made the main movie myself in Flash 8.
