Thank you. For some reason I had trouble keeping my mind focused on it while going through it, so I had the computer read it to me.
It's a nice overview; fairly general boilerplate overall, but nicely organized.
One of the sentences has text that is out of date - i.e., "make sure that the Enable OpenGL Drawing option is selected" should read "make sure that the Use Graphics Processor option is selected".

That's why I have never bothered to conduct such a test. A complete waste of time, in my opinion.
I would not put it that way because it always interesting to what extend users like to go or come up with for testing
But in basic, yes you are right. If you need such extreme test to proof the theory wrong the practice still is a winner. If you can't see it with your own eyes it is not really important but to fill an academic paper. In real life neither you, nor the customer or viewer would notice any difference
According to the discussion about jpeg vs Raw, of course Raw has a ton of benefits above jpeg. Personally I almost never shoot jpeg but I do know people that do to satisfaction.
Suppose you are a sports photographer and need both speed in writing to the card as in post process etc. You are working under know and solid light conditions and have measured your wight balance and set it manual. This provides very good qualities (that is if you have set the jpeg quality to high or max in camera) and shot with a recent good dSLR it produces files that can be published without problems on a magazine spread.
I can't see disadvantage for such situations. However, you have to be aware that for future use your options are still limited when deciding to change post processing. Color temperature, exposure etc etc are far more flexible with Raw then jpeg.
The vast majority of my clients want jpeg and that is what I convert to when files are ready. Yet I keep my original DNG and PSD file.
Especially the archived Raw (in my case since 2008 converted DNG from CR2 files) is important. I can't tell you how surprise I am every time I open a raw file from 10 years ago in todays Raw converters. They have been improved very much and are able to get more out of your old files then you ever could imagine.
And to finish with an other plus side of Raw. If you need to enlarge old and new raw files to huge billboards you will discover that the results of the Raw are far more superior

is it possible to execute dual open about Audition CS6?
i want to use seperately audio driver.
1. Computer reference audio driver.
2. Bluetooth audio driver.
it is operation same time in My computer. I think that support this option(?) at Cool edit

It may work but you will have to try it and see. Are you on a PC or a Mac. you may be able to use two different audio devices with only one copy of Audition open. It will be easier on a Mac since you can make an aggregate device from several different audio interfaces. On a PC it will probably be harder but you may be able to do it if you use ASIO4All as your audio driver and then select the two sets of audio device from within ASIO4All's setup software.

About Photoshop CS6 Extend update.

I used Photoshop CS6 Extend for a while. I did update mamy times and it always shown
Extension Manager 6.0.5 Update
Installation failed. Error Code: U44M1P7
I need help and don't know what did I done wrong.

You have done nothing wrong, the update process is simply pretty unreliable. You should run the Creative Suite Cleaner Tool and try again. Also try to download the update manually from the Download section here on the site.

Can't find article about blog creation

hi,
i can't find article about creating a blog :( i don't
remember a title and author but i know its about configuring mySQL
connections, managing articles, admin panel etc. its in six parts.
the title was something like "creating a blog with PHP, mySQL bla
bla bla..."
i read it in March.
help me to find it ... :/:(

Firefox gives me a canceled download every time. I double click the download it starts and finished pretty quick then in the download folder the file just vanishes. I checked my security preferences everything seems to be in order. I came to this site and read the article about downloads messing up nothing helped. I tried to run safe mode and reset but the pop up box never showed it just opened a new browser. It was working before I uninstalled Windows Live OneCare. Then I reinstalled it and its still not working. I checked to see if Internet explorer would work but nothing. I wanted to give it a fresh start and wipe it from my laptop but I don't think I will be able to download it again. Any Ideas?

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
* Use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
* Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")

Want to write an article about Air for iOS development. Where to publish?

I wanna write an article about developing iOS game in Adobe Air based on our latest game. Different performance issues, hints, tricks, etc.
I think it will be interesting for many of developers.

I do appreciate you are feeling encouraged for writing articles, they are highly time consuming, even those articles oriented to open communities which don't need to follow any academic rules. I could suggest to you using something like http://wordpress.org/ and then you can go to the especific communities who you have writen for and spread the link, also there are sites like http://www.actionscript.org/ where you can get registered as an author, they distribute your articles among a good crowd of programmers, however, howadays you can find some very cheap hosting packages (like $5 monthly) which give you more flexibility if you want to share big files size, I did that for example a while ago, I am currently publishing all the things I do for whoever wants to take them and nowadays if you type things like "balloon algorithm" or "grass algorithm as3" in google it points to http://www.yoambulante.com at first page.
it takes a while to propagate your site but it is really cool to know you can help random people around the world. that's one of the things I do in my spare time, help as many people as I can, as many people have helped me a lot too. Some how I just have discovered adobe forums today (not before), this place looked to me always like a place where people come to complain. I was wrong, I just published a new article for mobile programmers yesterday http://www.yoambulante.com/en/labs/trafficwonder_drawing.php which aims to this community.

Glad you posted your findings. I've been using this class for a few years with no problems until I tried to use nested borders, so I just tracked the bug down last week. Then I found your post. :-)
It's nice to have some corroboration. I submitted a patched CardPanel.java to TSC, hopefully they will update their article index to include the fixed version of the code.

About DreamWeaver CS6 Midel Est version

I bought Adobe Creative suite premium CS6 for Middle East, to write Arabic in all Adobe software, I was able to do it in Indesign, Illustrator and Photoshop but not in Dreamweaver CS6 but i didi it with DreamWeaver CS5.5. Do you have a solution ?

This is a forum for users to help each other.   Please address your comments to ordinary people who have similiar problems. Maybe you will find another user with a similar problem who has found some kind of solution.   But please realize that none of us can change Adobe.    I think some (maybe many) of us have been equally frustrated at some time.
As far as removing your previous post... Adobe moderators might have done that. Maybe not. I have seen some strong criticism of Adobe that has not been removed. And, anyway, your current post is here now.
I'm just an independent DW user in the U.S.:   I hear you!   I also am very frustrated with the lack of RTL text support in Dreamweaver, even though I use RTL text only rarely. As you apparently use RTL all the time, I can imagine your frustration.
Please help me understand: Is your problem symmetric with mine? DW supports LTR English. My content is almost all English. I have problems only when I try to use short texts in an RTL language in my English pages.   You use a RTL script, Arabic, almost all the time. Correct? Does DW support writing in Arabic only? Do you see problems only when you add a little English?
In my opinion, the issues are these:
1. MacOS has long supported both RTL and LTR --bidirectional (bidi) text, correct?   If so, why didn't Dreamweaver support RTL text a long time ago, without a need for a special ME version?
2. What is going on in MacOS 10.8?   Please provide a few links to articles in English about the new problems.
My guess: the early DW versions (not built by Adobe) handled text in a unique, non-standard way. Maybe at the time, there were very few standards and all of them were LTR-only.   Adobe took over the product. They evaluated DW, and decided which portions to update. The choices were based on actual, current customers. LTR English was the clear priority. As the existing design supported LTR English, no improvements were made. To Adobe, it probably seems very difficult (expensive) to use the Apple universal text support.
Since DW CS6 is new, you must have recently purchased it. Check the technical support for your ME product. In the U.S., anyway, there is a period of free technical support for DW. I hope it is similar in your region.   Another possibility in the U.S. is to return the product as "faulty" and get a refund.
Please look for a forum in Arabic on Dreamweaver or on general web development. You may find others with similar problems.   Maybe someone has discovered a work-around.
I have used DW CS6 with RTL text only a very little. So far, maybe I see a little bit of improvement, but the basic problems.
For the moment, for RTL text I use, I am slowly experimenting with HTML directives like dir="rtl" align="right", working mostly in Code View.

Question about Installing CS6 Student Edition

I purchased student version of Adobe CS6 about a year ago, unfortunately about the same time as I made this purchase my laptop died. I recently graduated from college, but I was wondering if there is a window of time that I need to install the suite before I become ineligible as a student/or if I will be unable to install and register. I currently have a work computer, but don't want to install the program until I get my own computer. Furthermore, how many devices can I install the student edition on? If I need to install it before my student status expires, I'd like to install it on my work computer, then hopefully get my own personal device ASAP and install it on that as well if possible. Thanks for the help.

If you are still a student then you can install and use the software.
As far as installing it on a work computer goes, that is usually up to the company you work for. Most companies control what is and is not allowed to be installed on a computer they own.

Tom Tom iPhone mount charger question + Article about Tom Tom app details

Hello, all.
First off, here's a handy article posted two days ago from PC World explaining quite a bit more about the Tom Tom iPhone app straight from the horse's mouth so to speak:

The article states that the Car Kit's "power cable plugs into your car's accessory jack or any USB power source and charges your iPhone while docked."
Here's my question: Since there's no release date in sight for the app and Car Kit, I want to buy a car charger for my iPhone. Would the smartest thing be to buy a charger whose USB cord is separate from the cigarette lighter adapter? That way, buying a charger now won't be a complete waste of money since I could still use the adapter with the Car Kit when it comes out. If I'm understanding that excerpt correctly, it sounds like the Car Kit won't include a built-in cigarette lighter adapter connected to the mounting dock.
Maybe it's too soon to know for sure since the details seem sketchy but I want to get a car charger in the meantime but will hold off if it turns out it will be useless once the Car Kit comes out. Thanks.

Great article, Hans. I agree that the JSF community should be looking into alternative ViewHandlers. So far, it's been an underappreciated API, but teams like MyFaces and, yes, Tapestry too, should be thinking about how to innovate here. There's a lot of room for progress to be made, and we don't have to wait for the spec process to turn its gears to see some enormous improvements in the usability and power of JSF. Remember folks, the EG built extensibility and pluggability into JSF for a reason!

My system wasn't particularly stable before. In fact it was more stable in the two days prior to it dying. If I left kazaa (or anything else, kazaa is jsut an example of something that I would leave running without using the computer) running before it would lock up after a couple of hours max. on friday night I left it running when I went out and it was still running about 8 hours later and it had been running for 5 hours before it went crazy the next morning.
As for the drive thing, I've tried it in all the ports and nothing changed but I'll give it another shot including the BIOS thing. Running disk diagnostics isn't an option cos the drive was OEM (which means I can't get it replaced if it's the problem, right?) and I cannot load windows or find the drive anyway. No dice.

I like what you're saying (cos it sounds like it might be an easy fix), don't know if it's the problem or not though cos even if corecentre did go nuts, I had my drive plugged into the locked ports next to the graphics card.
I am increasingly thinking that I'm completely (expletive deleted).
To prepare myself for the inevitable, what are my rights here? The RAM, disk and MB were all from the same store but only the MB was retail, the other two are OEM. I don't think I've done anything evil to these things, I didn't go crazy trying to get it to run at 3GHz or anything stupid like that, I've been pretty gentle so can I just take them back and demand my money, or a replacement or what?
