Article fields appear in a random order when viewed in story and galley view

Is it possible to amend Incopy so that all article fields appear in a consistent order for all articles and users when viewed in Story and Galley view?

The Finder sorts photos alphanumerically or by date.  It has no "random" capability.  So if you want your manually sorted photos in iPhoto to remain in the same order you need to do one of the following;
#1
1 - select the photos in the album as you want them sorted and use the Photo ➙ Batch Rename ➙ Title to Text with a sequential number added to each file name.
2 - Export the photos to a folder on the Desktop via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export menu option with the File Name = Title option.
#2
1 - Select the album containing the photo in the order you want and export to a folder on the Desktop via the File ➙ Export ➙ File Export  menu option with the File Name = Album name with \ number option.
Either method will give you files that will appear in the Finder in the order as they were in iPhoto.

    Have the developers considered randomizing the numbers for the passcode?  It is easy to watch the pattern when someone enters their passcode.  However, if the numbers appeared is a random order each time, it would enhance the security feature even more.  Personally, I would prefer this option with security in mind.

    He slightly beat you Meg, and I'm in the same boat with you. If I used a passcode I believe I would go with the feature to use a longer alphanumeric passcode rather than a 4 digit number even with the random code entry.
    And of course if Apple did put this feature in they need to make it an option or we'll see lots of posts wanting to know how to get rid of it.

  • Tracks appearing in a random order

    OK, I'm a massive fan of a band called Feeder, and I've put all of their B-sides onto my computer. Now, I've numbered the tracks to relate to the dates they were released (1-58) and put them in an album entitled "B sides", but when I sort by "artist" or "album", they appear in a random order. I've tried to put them in order, but they just keep on messing up.
    Any solutions, other than sort by "track #"?? (As this causes a problem when I go to view all the tracks in the library)
    Shuffle is off, I've tried enabling the "Part of a compilation" thing in the song info, but to no avail. Any ideas?

    Could there be slight differences in the names?
    I recently answered a similar question.

  • Import tracks in album order when viewing by Date Added

    I've seen some older posts regarding this, but nothing recently. Here's my issue, and I can't believe more people aren't up in arms about it:
    I keep iTunes sorted by Date Added, so that my latest stuff is at the top -- pretty normal for a music listener, right?
    Say I have a folder of mp3s and I drag them into iTunes. For a long time in years past, even though you're dragging the entire album in, they would just get added in the order that iTunes wanted, rather than in album order. Then, at some point recently, I assume after an update to iTunes (?), they magically started being added in the correct order. I was really happy about this, as the random order entire albums were added in was extremely annoying.
    Now something's happened and the old behavior is back.
    Does anyone know how to drag an album's worth of mp3s into iTunes and have iTunes load them in in *album* order, so that when you view by Date Added, they show your album as it would look on the back of a cd or whatever, in the correct order?

    This won't directly answer your question, but I find that if I make a playlist of the album, then they appear in the correct order in that playlist.

  • Selected rows appear in random order when selected from ADF Table

    Hi All,
    I am working in ADF 10.1.3
    I have a ADF Table with a multi select option associated with a DataBean, My requirement is when I select multiple rows from the table and click on some button to goto next page, the selected rows are not getting populated as per the selection order.
    Example: If I select 1st,3rd,5th,7th,9th rows from the ADF Table then in the next page I see the results as 3rd,1st,5th,9th,7th. - Randomly it is getting displayed.
    I am using the following code to get the records from Multi select ADF Table.
    I am adding the selected records to a List.
    selectedRowSet = this.getTable1().getSelectionState().getKeySet();
    rowSetIter = selectedRowSet.iterator();
    if (selectedRowSet.size() > 0)
    Integer index = Integer.parseInt((String) rowSetIter.next());
    Object rowData = this.getTable1().getRowData(index.intValue());
    The order is getting jumbled when I see the final list.
    Pls help me in this.
    Thanks

  • Iweb issues - photos are put in a RANDOM ORDER when added to photo grid

    My website created with i-WEB contains a lot of photos.
    When I add them to a photo grid (on a page using the "Photos" template, by dragging and dropping from Finder) the order of the photos is randomized by i-web.
    They are kind of in reverse order (highest file number first) but with a large number of files just randomly arranged in no particular order. The files have simple numerical names like "img_100, img_101, img_102" etc which are in numerical / date order in Finder, but when loaded into i-web are not in any order.
    I can't see a feature / option anywhere in I-web to re-arrange images according to name. I can of course manually rearrange them which is fine for a dozen images, but not when I have 500.
    I have tried adding a small number of images to see if it's a problem with overloading the software with too many, but the problem happens with 5 images as well as 500.

    The photo app puts files in date/time order and ignores their names.
    You can look for another app that may honor file names (sorry, I don't know any to recommend) or you can find a program that alters your file properties. If all the files have properties that read the same date and time, then it defaults to alphabetical order

  • I have a bunch of scanned old photos on my iPad mini. If I put them in the correct order in an album in photos,or in a web journal in iPhoto they always shuffle to a random order when I send them to another device. I want them to stay in the same order!

    Why do scanned photos shuffle out of order in photos and iPhoto after the albums and web pages are shared? And how can I keep the photos in the order I want them?

  • 4th Gen iPod: New songs that are added appear in a random order on the iPod

    Everything is correct in iTunes. (ripped straight off the CD) Its pretty irritating how it's not the same on the iPod. Anyway know how to fix it?

    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
    Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
    least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
    To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
    Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
    All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
    iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • How to change sort order when viewing all tracks by an artist?

    When I choose:
    Music --> Artists --> <any artist> --> All
    The tracks are organized in the order they apear in an alphabetized list of that artist's albums.
    For example:
    Joe Blow - CD 1
    Track 1
    Track 2
    Track 3
    Joe Blow - CD 2
    Track 1
    Track 2
    Track 3
    In the "All Songs By Artist" list, the songs appear as:
    Track 1
    Track 2
    Track 3
    Track 1
    Track 2
    Track 3
    How can I cange the sort order, so that they are sorted alphabetically, like this?
    Track 1
    Track 1
    Track 2
    Track 2
    Track 3
    Track 3

  • Music appears to be on ipod when viewing in iTunes but isn't there

    I have a new problem with my previously reliable iPods. When I connect them to my computer and either manually or automatically sync music to them, the sync appears to work fine, and I can click on a song and play it from iTunes. But when I disconnect and look at the iPod itself, the music is not there. It's like I loaded nothing... OR... the music is there, but does not play. If you play the playlist, it just cycles quickly through all the songs. Like the info is there for each song but the music isn't.
    I'm getting no error messages or anything in the process that would indicate a problem.
    It did it first to my older iPod (Gen 1, I think) and then I tried to sync my newer one (Gen 2 red) and it wiped it out, too.
    Makes me think it's a software problem since both pods have worked fine until now and both now have the same problem after getting connected to my computer. I've tried installing older versions of iTunes, as well as 7.5 and 7.6, which I have on now. I've Reset and Restored both ipods numerous times with no effect.
    I'm really stuck. Any ideas?

  • Image (Co. Logo) in Template header appears but not in Topic when viewing a topic which is attached to the Template

    I have an image (Co. logo) placed in the header of a
    template. Topics are attached to the template. I also have a
    separate page that has hyperlinks to the the Topics in the several
    books I have in the project.
    When I generate (WebHelp) project and view the output, here
    is what I see:
    If I open any topic by directly going to a book and then
    clicking on the topic, then I see the Co. Logo/image it is supposed
    to be pulling from the Template. However, if I view the same Topic
    by accessing it from a navigation page in which all the Topics are
    hyperlinked then the top header does not show.
    I am bit preplexed with these two separate displays of the
    same topic. One showing the image in the header and the other not.
    Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

    Only you will know for sure what you are dealing with, but I do not see the same complete url code in the header of the page you say has a problem.  I only see the page filename linked (not http:///www...,  just home.html).  It may be a case of those pages not using the same template.

  • The following message appears at least 20 times when starting my computer and everytime I open a program. Can anyone help me get rid of it?

    C:PROG~1\IMESHA~1\MediaBar\Datamngr\datamngr.d11 is either not designed to run on windows or it contains an error. Try installing the program again using the original installation media or contact your system administrator or software vendor for support.
    I did have a music program called IMesh which I deleted before this happened. I put it back on but still got the same error message.
    Thanks for any help or advise you can give.

    This happens if you remove a program manually, but still have the registry keys to load files from this program.<br />
    You can use the MSConfig program or the Autoruns utility to see which software and services are getting started.

    You can use registry editor and do a search (Ctrl+D) for imesh to see if you can locate the registry key(s) that launches this program on a reboot.
    Try to ask advice at a Windows oriented forum if you can't fix this.
