Articles moved from Nokia Developer Wiki generated clone and crazy articles
Hello,
I am completely disappointed because my articles from Nokia Developer Wiki was moved to TechNet Wiki and I wasn´t notified....and of course it do mess, because I saved my articles to publish here and I just published some of them...and now I have cloned
articles!! The owner should be notified and the article should be set to the owner profile, at least for how has it here...
Some writers from Nokia Developer Wiki moved to here and I think the work should be respected, I saw the credits at bottom but wasn´t linked to the profile, really sad....
And some articles has a crazy look!

First of all, that's pretty awesome (the monthly winners and whatnot). They did that 100% manually. We'll see if we can find them and if they want to continue anything like that for Windows Dev articles on TNWiki.
Second of all, it's kind of crazy. There are ZERO links from those weekly and monthly winner lists to your profile or any of the articles! Very high contrast to our Guru awards, where every article and author is called out and each one has a link.
So I can't find articles from either of you on the Nokia wiki. Do you have a profile link for that site?

I am moving from Southern California to Maui, Hawaii and I need to figure out the best way to get my 24 inch iMac across the ocean. Does anyone know the best way to do this? I have found GearGrip's LCD harness so that I can do carry-on onto the plane... Or maybe use a Pelican Case to do it as a "checked bag"? Or any other suggestions??! Please help!
Thanks so much!!I don't recommend you send the iMac in a checked bag. Might get damaged.
Check the airlines website for carry on guidelines.
Or, if you have the original box that the iMac came in, if you have someone who can pick up the iMac for you, send it ahead Fed Ex and insure the package.
Just make sure the display is covered to protect it. A blanket perhaps.

I have moved from the UK to the USA and have a new phone, I try to change my country location on the store and get an error message saying I have to cancel my itunes match and also that I have a pass incomplete, any ideas how to fix and change the store. It is becoming a problem with getting some USA aps and content

TomiTunes match is a subscription that you have in when you were still in the UK. According to the terms & conditions you'll need to wait for the susbcription to end before you can change your country to iTunes Store USA.

I have moved from the UK to New Zealand and Itunes will not accept my new Zealand bank details, I am trying to change my details on the Iphone 4s
Do you have a new Apple ID to use in NZ? If not open iTunes Store. Log out of your old Apple ID, then try to login. Select Create Apple ID from the dialog that appears. Make a new Apple ID for NZ with a NZ email address. Once that is approved and verified, log into the iTunes Store with the new Apple ID. This should fix all other issues.
Change iTunes Store Country on an iDevice
1. Tap Settings;
2. Tap iTunes & App Stores;
3. Tap View Apple ID;
4. Enter your user name and password;
5. Tap Country/Region;
6. Tap Change Country/Region;
7. Select the region where you will be located;
8. Tap Done.

This sounds like your language preference is set to Spanish on your Apple ID. I would go toMy Apple ID, Manage Your Apple ID and change the language and contact preferences.

Did you click the "change country or region" link in your account information in the iTunes Store? If not, you need to do that to change your country. Note that you will need a valid US credit card or US iTunes card to enter as payment method.

my calendars and contacts do not sync since moving from mobile me to icloud. what should i do

That's where you're going wrong. Firstly the syncing method that MobileMe used, which places the icon in the menu bar, is quite different from the iCloud method and is irrelevant. Secondly, you're confusing the Time Machine icon with it.
On this Mac you need to set up in System Preferences>iCloud in the same way, then the syncing is automatic. In iCal on both machines you should see in the Calendar list your calendars listed unrer 'iCloud', and your calendars should be visible at http://icloud.com (and choose Calendar in the welcome screen).
If they aren't visible online, go to http://me.com/calendar - you should not be able to see them there. If you can, you haven't migrated. -
Report: Moved from 10.58 to 10.62 and Logic 9.1
I held off as long as I could but then bit the bullet. I think my Magic Mouse was begging me to do it so I could enjoy the new scrolling features:)
At any rate, been working all day today and Logic is behaving just fine. I am still getting some Disk Too Slow messages and beginning to wonder whether my record drive needs replacing (2 years in). But am happy to say that all appears to be well, and have also installed the new Pro Kit update.

THA few months back, I did the jump from Tiger and Logic 8 straight to the latest everything, Snow Leopard and Logic 9.. Of course I did a complete clone of my system first, and was not working on any important projects at the time so I too braced myself for everything to go haywire. But similarly to you, it went like clockwork, and it's all running way better than anticipated. So far I've had zero crashes in Logic, except from opening an older project from Logic 8 which had a movie in it, but I've gotten around that. Have worked on some very intensive projects (intensive at least for a MBP), using video, loads of sampler instruments, synths, plug ins, UAD2 laptop card.. and I have to say that so far it's feeling like the most stable combination of Logic and OSX that I've worked with in a while. I'm not exactly a flag-waving fanboy, just a seasoned pro user, so it's been a pleasant surprise to have a pretty reliable DAW to work with. I decided to bypass Leopard because we have it on the computers at the studio, and the Logic 8 + OSX 10.5x combo was giving us several crashes a day, plus weird display issues in the finder (strange grey bars in finder windows), and just a whole lot of general flakiness. So I'm glad I decided to skip that one and go straight to where I am now.
Btw, not bothering with 64bit as it's not of any use on my MBP. Suits me fine, by the time I get a bigger machine with enough RAM to make 64bit worthwhile, the waters should have settled down a little on that front.

when doing a internet search it takes me to Indianapolis news, weather, local businesses, ECT. can I change this to reference Columbus Oh. and not Indianapolis ?
This seems to have been asked a lot around the net, however, there doesn't seem to be an adequate answer to it.
I am running:
Operating system is Windows 7Motherboard is Q67H2-AM v1.1
Bios is ACER ver. 2.10.1207
GPU is GTX 770
PSU is 700w
The Graphics card is plugged in to the 16x slot, the fans spin, but no display and no device is recognized in device manager.
I have tried a few solutions including uninstalling my onboard graphics driver from the device manager and going to upgrade my 600w power supply to a 700w one.
I think the issue is that I need to change the BIOS to PEG or PCI Express. However, in the Bios the settings for both "Primary Video" and "Onboard Graphics" are grayed out, meaning that I can't change them. -
HT5085 I have moved from the US to Hong Kong and can't change my address or location in Itunes.
I have bought a new Iphone in Hong Kong and want to update my country and billing details. I am told I have alive ITunes match account and I need to cancel it but apart from cancelling the automatic renewal there is no obvious way of doing this. In order to change your location, you will need a credit card registered to an address in the location you are trying to change to.
You cannot change your location if you have credit on your account, if you are unable to spend your credit and leave a balance of zero, contact Apple, which you can do through iTunes Store Support. -
Moving from a PC to a Mac, and not everything in iTunes is coming with me
I have my itunes music on a WD Passport drive, which my brand new MacBook recognized without a problem. However, it took a while for imports to be happy. I was expecting some glitches since I know the drive is formatted for Windows, so I was OK with that.
However, I have a few TV shows, full seasons of some, which appeared to be importing fine, and didn't mention any errors, however when I check the library for TV and movies, there is nothing there. What should I be checking for? I don't want to have to head to the apple store to get a genius to help me, I figure this should be simple enough but I am not quite up on my Mac to know how to do it. I searched the forums, and it seems everyone who had a similar issue, but they fixed it without sharing too many details.

thanksHi Try looking in your movie folder i had the same problem all that had happen was the info had been miss read you just need to re-edit it??

Large data moving from one schema to another schema and tablespace

Articles Migration from Nokia to Microsoft

I have written many Wiki Articles in
Nokia Developer Community. Now for the last few days I see that they have put a message on the Wiki Home Page stating that.
Please note that as of October 24, 2014, the Nokia Developer Wiki will no longer be accepting user contributions, including new entries, edits and comments, as we begin transitioning to our new home, in the Windows Phone Development Wiki. We plan to move over the majority of the existing entries over the next few weeks. Thanks for all your past and future contributions.

Moved from the US to the UK, not able to change the country on my account
I moved from the US to the UK and want to change my country. This should be straight forward in my account settings, but it keeps telling me I have rentals I haven't watched. I don't have any rentals on any of my devices. I bought an iPad mini here in London and can't buy apps because it keep telling me my account isn't valid in the UK. Very furstrating! I e-mailed support and never heard back. Please help!

Unlike Queries, usually workbooks are saevd either under a role or under Favourites. So if you have saved the your workbooks under a role, you need to have that role assigned to you to view the workbooks. The roles and profiles might be quite different in dev and QA because of authorisations, so look into them carefully. If the developer saves the workbook as a favorite can you still transport it and see it? After transporting the workbooks you will need to retransport the roles they are assigned to. Once the roles are transported after the Workbook transport ..all the workbooks are visible.. The rule is to transport the roles only once and never after, else all workbooks contained in that role in the target system will be wiped out.
Just for safety sake, it is a good idea to maintain all the workbooks on a secure location, so that in case they are wiped out, you can use these to re-establish them. We create our workbooks directly in production.You can also confirm this by going to RSA1 -> Transport Connnection -> Click on Object Types -> Expand Query Elements -> Query -> double click Select Objects -> Search by your query Technical name -> Transfer. Once you get ur Query and all its object in the righmost box, under Transport request column you should see the Request number that you have created for all the query elements you have changed. If this is not the case then you assign it by checking the transport box for the query and Transport button
