Artist Names not Displaying after upgrade to 10.1.0.56

I just upgraded to iTunes 10.1.0.56. After the upgrade, about half of my artist names are not appearing. When I click, "Get Info" it can find the artist and some.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any thoughts on what to try next?
Thanks

  • My photos are not displaying after upgrade to iOS 7, My photos are not displaying after upgrade to iOS 7

On our ipad 2, after upgrading to iOS 7, the photo album is completely screwed, and the saved photos are not displaying correctly. How do we get our photos Back?

OK, tried the reset and it seems to have cleared up some problems; however, the picture problem remains.
Maybe there is something further we could do in settings? My wife uses the iPad as her constant companion and likes to take screen shots (pictures) of recipes and such. She keeps them in albums. Before the update to iOS 7 they all displayed correctly regardless of physical machine orientation. Now, post update, when in landscape mode, which she uses 99.9% of the time, her pics do do fully display. By physically rotating the machine, they will appear correctly. We have noticed that there is a new "function" in edit pics for "aspect ratio."
Should we be using this? If so, she'll have to edit a very large number of pics. So I'm wondering if we're missing some new setting. BTW- this display problem also occurs with pics taken with the camera as well.

  • Expiration date not displaying after upgrade from 2007 to 2013

I recently upgraded from MOSS 2007 to 2013.  I have information management set up on a library of InfoPath forms.  For the forms that were created prior to the upgrade, the expiration date is displaying and actually get updated if I modify them.
But none of my forms that have been created after the upgrade, are displaying when the expiration date is, which should be one year from modify date.  If I modify the forms created prior to the upgrade, they reflect the new, update date.
Are these new forms not getting the policy applied to them, and why not?  I am not sure why the older forms are getting updated, but not my new ones.
    Denise E.

    Hi Denise,
According to your description, my understanding is that the Expiration date column was not displaying values after upgrading from SharePoint 2007 to SharePoint 2013.
Per my knowledge, we can only use the date column which is added to the library or list or the Declared Recorded date to set the retention policy, so if the Expiration date is used in the retention policy then the Expiration date should be a column in the
    library or list.
I recommend to check the retention policy in the library and see which column is used in the retention policy as the image below shows:
After that, go to the Library settings to find this column.
Could you please provide screenshots of the retention policy and the columns in the Library settings page?
    Best regards.
    Thanks

    Hello Rahuljith,
Please confirm if you have the data type NUMBERTABLE or IBE_NUMBERTABLE in your database.   This is now required in Release 12.1.3 to display items -
    Run this query -
    SQL>select count(*)
    from all_types
    where type_name IN ('NUMBERTABLE','IBE_NUMBERTABLE');
    If count = 0, then apply one-off Patch 13416486:R12.IBE.B or ISTORE 12.1.3+ ROLLUP 1 Patch 16509570:R12.IBE.B
Or if count is returned, confirm the object is valid and owner APPS -
    SQL>select object_name, object_type, owner, status
    from dba_objects
    where object_name = 'NUMBERTABLE';
If it doesn't exist or is invalid then, as APPS, execute this
    CREATE OR REPLACE TYPE NUMBERTABLE AS TABLE OF NUMBER;
Bounce Oacore (R12) server and retest the issue

  • Mails older than today not displaying after upgrade

I have just upgraded to 10.4.6, and when I first clicked on Mail it went through its process to upgrade all the existing mailboxes. Each mail in my inbox that was earlier than today, showed the header information listed in the viewer window as normal, but instead of showing the mail in the lower pane, showed a message saying that message had not been saved to my hard drive, and couldn't be displayed.
I rebuilt the mailbox in the hope this would clear, but instead it removed the header info, so that there is no trace in the main viewer window of any of the old mails.
All the messages are still on the mail server, and show up in the 'get info' dialogue for the inbox, but don't actually appear in the viewer window, as they did before I upgraded.
Does anybody know how I can pick these mails up from the server again?
    G4 400Mhz   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

This is a known issue. The conversion from Mail 1.x to Mail 2.0 is broken. Take a look at the following thread to better understand the problem:
Help! "You need to take this account online in order to download it."
If this is a POP account, the following procedure should allow you to fix the Inbox problems:
    1. Quit Mail.
    2. Make a backup copy of the ~/Library/Mail folder, just in case something goes wrong. You can do this in the Finder by dragging the folder to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down, for example. This is where all your mail is stored.
    3. Create a folder on the Desktop and name it however you wish (e.g. Inbox Old). It doesn't need to have an .mbox extension.
    4. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/POP-username@mailserver/INBOX.mbox/.
    5. Move the mbox file out of INBOX.mbox and into the Inbox Old folder just created on the Desktop. This file contains all the messages that were in the mailbox before the upgrade to Tiger (maybe even some messages that had been deleted).
    6. Move any strangely-named Messages-XXXXXX folder to the Desktop (not into the Inbox Old folder). These folders are to be deleted after fixing the problem. They are temporary folders created during an import or a re-indexing process, and Mail should have deleted them when done. Their presence is a clear indication that something didn't work as expected. If you've been using Mail after the conversion and have already tried to fix the problem by rebuilding the mailbox or something like that, they might contain messages that are neither in Messages proper nor in the mbox file, so keep them around until the problem is fixed.
    7. Move everything else within INBOX.mbox, except the Messages folder, to the Trash.
The result of the above should be that INBOX.mbox contains the proper Messages folder only, and the Inbox Old folder on the Desktop contains the mbox file only. Now, proceed as follows:
    8. Open Mail.
    9. The account's Inbox should properly display in Mail as many messages as *.emlx files are in ~/Library/Mail/POP-username@mailserver/INBOX.mbox/Messages/. If that's not the case, select the mailbox in Mail and do Mailbox > Rebuild.
    10. In Mail, do File > Import Mailboxes, choose Other as the data format, and follow the instructions to import the Inbox Old folder that's on the Desktop. Do with the imported mail whatever you wish. You may move to the account's Inbox the messages that Mail failed to convert properly, and delete those that did get through and, hence, are duplicates now.
The following collection of AppleScripts has a Remove Duplicates script that can be useful for removing duplicate messages:
    http://homepage.mac.com/aamann/Mail_Scripts.html
If all is well and you're not missing anything, the files on the Desktop can be deleted, although you may want to keep them for a while, just in case.
Ask for any clarifications or if you need further assistance.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user's home folder.

  • Mail 5.2 not displaying after upgrade to 10.7.4

on an imac - I upgraded to lion 10.7.4 via disc. Everything seems ok other than mail which although it is open (in fact I have to force quit it to restart) there are no inboxes of folders visible, just the grey band at the top of the screen which shows you which application you are in. I can select new mail & a new mail window opens as does address box list and previous recipient list. I tried a reinstall via app store download after cmd-R. Same issue persists?
    Any thoughts?

    Hi Barry,
    Thnx for your quick RE!
I have a lot of such files in my preferences folder but not exactly the file you mentioned.
However, I have solved the problem myself in the meantime.
I found out that I had to check the option in Dock 'show on all desktops' (somehow it was set as 'on no desktop' after the upgrade).
    So problem fixed .

  • Messages not displaying after upgrade

I use Thunderbird with two IMAP accounts connecting to an internal mail server (IBM Domino). My OS is Windows 8.1 64bit.
Since Thunderbird 31 I have this kind of problem: after a while (variably from few to several minutes) the messages are visible in the message list but not viewable anymore in preview pane as well as opening the message. I can however see the message source by using Ctrl+U. Changing folder or message does not solve the problem and I need to restart the program.
I tested also with SeaMonkey and the same problem arise as well. I erased all Thunderbird files and switched back to version 24.2.0 and I have no problems at all.
I already ask for support in the italian forum but with no luck. One of my colleagues using Thunderbird on WinXP had the same problems but far less often than me.
Thanks in advance for your help.

Does it work better if you use a message window instead of the message pane? You can set that up from the Options.

  • Photo's not displaying after upgrade

It appears that iPhoto is recognizing my photos as it tells me how many I have (and how many events), but the thumbnails don't show (just a place holder). If I double click on a thumbnail place holder, I get a large pixelated exclamation point.
When I start iPhoto, I get the message "rebuilding thumbnail caches" and a status bar which quickly ends.
My library is where it was with iPhoto 6...in the shared folder with a link to it from the pictures folder.
    any ideas? thanks

    Roger:
Since rebuilding didn't resurrect the library you may be looking at starting over with a fresh library and importing the original photos from the old library like this:
Creating a new library while preserving the rolls from the original.
Move the existing library folder to the desktop.
Open the library package like this.
Launch iPhoto and, when asked, select the option to create a new library.
Drag the Originals folder from the iPhoto Library on the desktop into the open iPhoto window.
This will create a new library with the same Events as the original library if you have the Finder checkbox unchecked in the Events preference pane.
To help prevent this type of loss in the future see the tip at the end of my signature.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

  • How to fix NIS domain name not set after upgrade

I finally updated after thousands of years. As pacman was spewing, I noticed that it moved /etc/conf.d/nisdomainname to .pacsave. Uh, whatever, says I. Must be a package issue. So I just reboot...and of course ypbind can't connect to anything because nisdomainname isn't set.
Just cd to /etc/conf.d and mv nisdomainname.pacsave nisdomainname

  • 20" Apple Cinema Display not recognised after upgrading to OS 10.8.2 (Mountain Lion)

20" Apple Cinema Display not recognised after upgrading to OS 10.8.2 (Mountain Lion).
Hello Apple! Anybody there? How long does your community have to wait for a solution?
The same problem has been unsolved for months now. No statements from Apple either.
I was told today to wait for 10.8.3. This might solve the issue. I can not belive my ears.
My MacBookPro 4,1, Intel Core 2 Duo with 2.5 GHz Processor and Graphics chip: NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT, will not talk to the exter. 20" Cinema Display ( Model Number A1081 ). The screen stays black. Resetting the PRAM did not help. I removed the 'com.apple.windowserver.plist' and the 'com.apple.windowserver.OE35739etc,etcxxxxxxxxxxx.plist', but that did not help either.
Any other solutions, or do I have to downgrade or give up on Apple Computers alltogether after using them for over 25 years?

I found out that I needed a $100 mini displayport to dual-link dvi adapter to make my $30" cinema display work with my macbook pro
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MB571Z/A/mini-displayport-to-dual-link-dvi-ada pter?fnode=51
When I found out that solved the problem, I took it back because that was too expensive for a stupid adapter, and it still didn't work perfectly.

  • Internal speakers not working after upgrading to Maverics

internal speakers not working after upgrading to Maverics

There are many possible causes for this issue. Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried.
    1. Start with the steps recommended in this support article. Don't skip any of the steps. It's the starting point for further efforts to solve the problem.
    2. Run Software Update and make sure you have a fully up-to-date installation of OS X.
    3. If you've installed an application called "Memory Clean" or any other third-party software that is supposed to "clean" or "purge" memory automatically, remove it according to the developer's instructions and restart. You should do that even if the software is not causing the problem, because it's useless.
    4. If you've installed a software equalizer called "Boom" or anything similar, update or delete it and restart.
    5. If an AirPlay device is selected for sound output from iTunes (or from other applications via third-party software such as "Airfoil"), deselect it.
    6. Launch the application "Audio MIDI Setup" by entering the first few letters of its name in a Spotlight search and selecting it in the results (it should be at the top.) Select the Output tab. If the Mute boxes are checked, uncheck them. Move the Volume sliders all the way to the right.
    7. If a red light is coming from the audio-out port, the internal switch is stuck in the position for digital output. You may be able to free it by inserting and removing a mini-stereo jack of the proper size. Inserting any kind of tool in the port may cause damage that won't be covered by your warranty.
If there's no red light, the switch may still be stuck in the headphone position. Try to free it the same way.
    8. Disconnect all wired peripherals except keyboard and mouse, if applicable. If more than one display is connected, disconnect all extra ones. Restart and test.
    9. If you have a MacBook Air, turn off Bluetooth and restart.
    10. Start up in safe mode. Don't log in; just restart as usual when the login screen appears. When you do, make sure the words "Safe Boot" do not appear in the login screen. If they do, the system is still in safe mode and sound won't work.
    11. Reset the NVRAM.
    12. Reset the SMC.
    13. Reinstall OS X after backing up all data.
    14. Make a "Genius" appointment at an Apple Store.
