Artist Thumbnail Problems - iPhone 6

2 Questions regarding the artist thumbnails that appear in the music app.
1) How do you get them to sync with the iTunes servers / update? At some point a few months ago a ton of artist photos appeared. I have since added a lot of music and would like them to be updated too. I've tried re-logging in, messing with wi-fi, bluetooth, the app store, syncing with my computer, etc., with no results.The lack of consistency is annoying, and I am certain some of these artists (Nas, Ray Charles) have thumbnails on the store.
2) It seems that for thumbnails to appear, your spelling of the artist has to exactly match what appears in the iTunes store. I only noticed this because the artist "Outkast" seems to be hardwired into my phone as "OutKast," even after deleting all of their songs, and re-syncing them as "Outkast," small "k," to match the iTunes store in hopes of getting their thumbnail. How do I correct this?

I was just on phone with them for 45 minutes as well.... I first bought apple care for the phone (and it was registered)... then I described the issue, tested it with her on the phone many times, and I couldn't recreate the issue! Even though I was having the issue many times earlier it seems to work now... We'll see... strange... the only other new piece of info I could think of in my case is when I had the issue I was copying music from my C drive via a Windows folder into my phone in iTunes, and my regular library on iTunes is in my R drive. Actually, she asked me to first copy from my iTunes library in iTunes to the phone in iTunes (instead of from windows folder to phone in iTunes). So... I tried what she suggested and it worked. I said, but the other way didn't work (instead of itunes library to itunes phone.... I mean it didn't work from windows folder to itunes phone). I then tried folder to phone and it worked... Perhaps moving from the library in iTunes to the phone in iTunes fixed it????

Sync Problem Iphone 4

Is anyone have same problem like me, i have bought two iphone 4, but it is strange one iphone 4 can sync with my labtop computer but another iphone 4 can't. I have try to sync the problem iphone with other computer. It will sync. The difference between these two computer is that one computer is running windows xp and Laptop computer is running windows 7. can anyone help me to solve this problem. thank you

Okay, I have a Mac Mini running Snow Leopard in which I just updated iTunes. My iTunes library is on an external hard drive. I updated my iPhone to 4.3.4 and the syncing is not working. I get an error that it cannot write to the iPhone then get an error regarding some of the photos. Here is what I have done -
I restored my iPhone
I removed all photos from the iPhone and uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes
I unplugged the external from my mini and then it did a sync just find - course I wasn't syncing anything to it!
I plugged back in the external via Firewire which is what it was before and I get the errors.
Prior to the latest iTunes update everything was fine but of course I hadn't updated the iPhone yet - so I don't know which update is now causing the problem although I'm thinking it's the iTunes update..
Any thoughts? Beyond frustrated at this point.

Has the duplicate erroneous thumbnail problem been resolve in the current Elements software?

I have used both Elements and Lightroom in the past, but have dropped both because of the redundant thumbnails of the same photo when they are moved from one folder to another. Since the complete file only resides on one place other thumbnails are present but only serve to complicate finding the actual file.
I purchased a new Lightroom, but the problem still exists with the current software.
My questions regard the handling of files within Elements. I have 50,000 photos in my inventory and with a work flow that requires moving existing photos from one folder to another, I can not afford to generate erroneous thumbnails with each subsequent move.
Has Adobe addressed the duplicate and erroneous thumbnail problem in the current Elements software? Does the use of Bridge avoid this problem? Is Bridge available within Elements? Is Camera Raw available within Elements? What is the annual cost of Elements if procured thru Creative Cloud without access to the full Photoshop program?

I don't understand your problem. Moving files from within either Elements or Lightroom doesn't create redundant thumbnails.
There has been problems in older versions of Elements where the 'Folders' view was corrupted and did not show the real content of the folders.

If that's what you have experienced, the problem is solved since PSE11.
Without knowing exactly your workflow, it's difficult to understand your problem. Moving files from folder to folder require taking into account the possibility of files with the same name already existing in the destination folder. Do you get files renamed with a suffix in the destination folder ?
- Bridge is not available with Elements
- The camera raw version in Elements is limited to the 'basic' and 'detail' panels
- Elements is not available in the Cloud subscriptions.

Usually this error occurs when trying to downgrade the iOS or in a previously jailbroken phone. In this case, you cannot get help here. The internet and Google are your best friends.

Does upgrading from Premiere Elements 12 to 13 solve the Organizer thumbnail problem?

Thumbnails do not show up after importing clips into Premiere Elements 12 Organizer. I've tried right clicking on a clip and telling it to recreate the thumbnail but it doesn't work. I've tried refreshing and repairing the catalog. I've even started a new catalog and reimported the files. The system says it's creating thumbnails but they still do not show up. Does upgrading from Premiere Elements 12 to 13 solve the Organizer thumbnail problem?

That is one of those questions best answered by evaluating Elements Organizer13 with your specific files in your specific computer environment.
Each of the Elements Organizer versions often appears to carry along its own baggage.
One of the things that came up about Elements Organizer 13 thumbnails recently was a problem with files with MPEG2
video compression. The Adobe word on this was that this is only an Elements Organizer 13 tryout issue...supposed not to exist
in the purchased version.

How is it possible that there's an artist in my iPhone that is not in the Playlist I sync to my iPhone?

It should still work as an iPod, how is it disabled?

Missing Thumbnails in iPhone Device Library in iPhoto

Hi guys,
How do i remove those stubborn missing thumbnails from my iPhone device in iPhoto?
I have new pictures in my iPhone camera roll that aren't reflected here in my iPhoto when i synced it with iTunes.
Do i need to clear any cache or something? if yes, how?

Iphoto not showing thumbnails from iphone

I have an iPhone 4S with latest software update 6.1.1.
Mac mini on OSX 10.6.8
iPhoto '09 v 8.1.2
My iPhone appears in iPhoto, but the photo thumbnails do not...just dotted lines where the thumbnails should be. And there's no ability to edit or import.
Did the latest iPhone software update cause this? Any other ideas?

As a Test:
Hold down the option (or alt) key and launch iPhoto. From the resulting menu select 'Create Library'
Import a few pics into this new, blank library. Is the Problem repeated there?

ITunes Match sorts artists wrongly on iPhone

Okay, I'm not sure what's going on with iTunes Match, but it definetely isn't working as expected...
I enabled it four days ago, and after re-organizing my computer several times (missing artwork) I now have everything set up correctly. I updated Match, and checked my iPhone...
There are two major problems here when I click on the artist view:
1) Some artists are duplicate. When I click neither of them, I'm taken to a list of their albums, but no matter which one I tap on, the list is the same (what I mean is that it's not that albums are split between the duplicates, it's just the same albums, same songs).
and...
2) (This one really frustrates me) As we all know, artists are sorted alphabetically. Well, everything goes fine until the letter "i", because from then on, all the way down to past the "z" and "#", the first artist of each group is wrong. For instance, letter i's last artist should be "Iron and Wine", but instead, "Iron and Wine" is not listed as the last artist under letter "i", but as the first artist under letter J! Same happens with EVERY letter: last artist from previous letter shows up as the first one in the next letter's group.
Coincidentally, Hans Zimmer is one of the duplicate artists. And, yes, it starts with H -same letter my artists' sorting order starts getting all messed up. I suppose it's got something to do with that.
Anyone else experiencing this? I tried turning Match off/on from my iPhone, turned the iPhone itself off, and quit the music app, but nothing changes.
On a side note, I tried to play a song from iCloud (not stored on my iPhone), and it played well. However, before I finished playing it I just stopped the download because I didn't really want it in my device -now it's stuck with the little "stop" icon that shows up when you're downloading, and I can't even listen to it when I tap it: it gest skipped.
I tried quitting the music app several times; even turned off the phone, but to no avail.
I really hope Apple fixes this ASAP. This reminds me of the MobileMe sync problems...

I'm afraid no solution to this specific problem has been discussed here before. I've searched Google and the boards several times before creating this topic but I found nothing. If I missed it then I'd be truly grateful if you could point one out to me.

Why do the artists on Music (iPhone) differ from those on iTunes (Windows)?

When I sync my iPhone with iTunes (Windows), the artist names are not being copied properly. For example, the artist which I label "Lambert, Adam" on my computer keeps showing up as "Adam Lambert" on my iPhone. I have changed ALL the sorting tags on iTunes (Windows) so the "artist," "artist: sort as," "album artist," "album artist: sort as," "composer," and "composer: sort as" are all showing "Lambert, Adam." But my iPhone is insisting on overriding that and using the sorting that one would find in the iTunes store. I have all sharing turned off and iCloud sync turned off. The problem is occurring with albums that I originally purchased on iTunes (Windows).

Recent builds of iTunes can fetch details of your purchase history so you can download or stream the content to your device. For reasons unknown the store version of the metadata is sometimes displayed instead of any local edits that you may have made.
To fix, go to iTunes > Preferences > Store and turn off
Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases
Share details about your library with Apple
On any iOS device go to Settings > Music and turn off
Show All Music
Close and reopen iTunes and/or reset the device and you should see your version of the metadata for each track rather than the original store data. If not the original values should revert as you play content, or you can try my script UpdateTagInfo for updating iTunes. In some cases you may need to remove the affected content from your device, then sync it back again.

Photos are appearing as movies on iPhone & ATV, black thumbnails on iPhone crash app

Although my photos in iPhoto appear just fine, they're not all appearing properly on my iPhone 4 or Apple TV.
On the iPhone as I scroll through over 6,000 photo thumbnails, some of them appear as black squares. When I try to view one the image appears for less than a second then shuts down the Photos app. When it does appear briefly, it shows a play button in the middle as though it thinks it's a movie.
On Apple TV I can access the photos on my computer provided iTunes is opened and I'm sharing my photos. When I do this, similarly, the same photos that are giving me problems on my iPhone are doing the same on Apple TV. This time though the thumbnail also has this play button. When I choose to view the photo full screen I can see it fine but with the play button on it. When I press select (to "play the movie") I get the error "An error occurred loading this content. Try again later".
I've had this issue with my iPhone for a very long time. Through several version of iOS. I may have even had this problem on my 3GS though I'm not positive.
Earlier today I ran a full iPhoto rebuild. I've deleted all pics on my iPhone then synced them back over. I've restarted iPhoto and iTunes.
OSX - 10.7
iPhone OS - 4.3.5
Apple TV OS - 4.3
iPhoto - 9.1.5
iTunes 10.4

Go to your Pictures Folder and find the iPhoto Library there. Right (or Control-) Click on the icon and select 'Show Package Contents'. A finder window will open with the Library exposed.
Look there for the iPod Photo Cache.
Trash it. Start iPhoto and try sync again.

Ipod touch 4g video thumbnail problem?

I have an iphone 4 but bought my wife a new 32g touch which came yesterday. All seems fine except thumbnails of videos transfered to the device are shown as a sort of negative. Video's shot on the touch are fine but anything else like vids shot on my ip4 and movies converted from dvd to work on the iphone/ipod show up as negative/dark thumbnails. The videos themselve run perfectly its just the thumbnails. Anyone else had this problem? I've never had this happen with any of my iphones or my wifes 1st gen tough.

I have the exact same problem and I still cannot find a solution. This happens to videos that I convert to play through my ipod app as well. I'm starting to believe this is related to a bug in iOS 4.0. Hopefully this problem will be corrected on the next iOS update.
