Artisteer Runs slowly in Dreamweaver - help required

I recently purchased a html template builder called Artisteer. As a Dreamweaver user of some years I wanted to use this tool to speed up the design of simple html websites whilst preserving my Dreamweaver workflow. In short I want to take Artisteer html templates and work on the site build in Dreamweaver.
Unfortunately the templates that Artisteer produces are somewhat of a problem to work with in Dreamweaver. They open ok but when editing them dreamweaver slows to a crawl.
I should say this stage that the problem is not specific to me and the forums are Artisteer are full of others complaining of the same issue. Unfortunately the deveopers behind Artisteer seem reluctant to take up the matter with Adobe.
At first I thought the slow running might be because of Atristeer's use of conditional tags to select between different verisons of the stylesheet for each browser but removing this made no difference.
I now think the slowness might be caused by the very large and complex CSS style sheet produced by Artisteer (way more complex than anything I have ever produced yet it does validate w3c).
Does anyone here have any experience of Artisteer and can shed light on this issue?

Ouch. My  DW became non-responsive and I had to close it.  When I disabled the CSS styles it works OK though.  The cascade in CSS is sort of lost in this template IMO, which is why the code is so bloated.
In looking through the CSS code, I found some rather confused coding issues as well.  An example below. Notice all the duplicate rules.  But fixing this doesn't begin to cure the non-responsiveness problem in DW.  So it's something much deeper.

Can you get your money back?  Project Seven's CSS Layout Magic and Page Pack Templates perform well in DW and all browsers. And the code is much nicer, too.
