iTunes: How to move [or copy] your music to a new computer [or another drive] - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4527
Quick answer if you let iTunes manage your music: Copy the entire iTunes folder (and in doing so all its subfolders and files) intact to the other drive. Start iTunes with the option (shift on Windows) key held down and guide it to the new location of the library.

• Artwork is not saved to file since iTunes 7 release !?!?

Hey Guys,
With the new version of iTunes I turned on the "Find Album Artwork" and surprisingly it did find artwork for much of my music library where artwork was missing.
I assumed that this Artwork was being stored on the mp3 files, , just like in previous versions of iTunes, but have just recently found that it is NOT!
Rather, it is being stored in a series of folders outside of iTunes in a .ITC format. This is really really a bad idea, only to save in .ITC format. Removing existing functionality without user awareness is not a good thing.
Please save it to the file as well.
Thanks,
McoreD

Yep, iTunes is getting more invasive and secretive like Windows software every day.....
the default settings for Windows Media Player are to go out and get auto-updates from the internet.
This iTunes auto-art thing has busted a couple of other programs I use my music files with. I have to make sure I clear downloaded artwork before I do anything else.
What a pain!

• Add artwork manually not saving for some songs, others OK

trying to add artwork manually. sometimes artwork saves and other times just goes away.

Highlight all the tracks on the album and then paste the artwork in.
If you're in grid view, you just need to highlight the album box.
_Method 1_
right-click > get info , say YES to modify multiple items, paste the artwork into the box on the info tab
_Method 2_
paste the artwork into the artwork box at the lower left corner
The bar on the top of the box has to say *Selected Item* , not Now Playing. Just click on it if you need to change it to *Selected Item*.

• ITunes not saving artwork

iTunes seems to save artwork OK if it has downloaded it itself, but if I paste artwork into the 'Get Info/Info.Artwork', although I see the correct artwork and the associated checkbox is ticked, the artwork is not saved.
Any ideas??

Can you see the artwork in the artwork column or when playing that track?

• Art work not saved when quitting itunes

Hi there,
Whenever I quit itunes, all of the album artwork I downloaded through "Get Album Artwork" is not saved, and disappears the next time I open itunes!
What is going on?
Is it to do with the file format? does mp4 not take art? help!
Dai

Yeah the same thing happens to me. It's just gone when i open itunes the next time. It does save random artwork though.
Anyone got any ideas?

• Saving a PDF crops to artwork and not the artboard

I have read a few posts on the web regarding this issue and was wondering if anybody here has a solution.
Since upgrading to CC, when saving our PDFs they now crop to the boundaries of the artwork and not to the artbord like in previous versions. I work in a PDF enviroment and we have a program that relies heavily on XMP data - one of which is the X and Y co-ordinates of the artwork in relation to the top-left corner of the artboard, however now, when artwork goes outside of the artboard or doesn't fill the artboard, the resulting PDF crops to the artwork thus changing the X and Y co-ordinates of where artwork is positioned on the page.
Is this a bug that is likely to be fixed or has a feature changed that I don't know about.

This is in Illustrator CC Version 17. It is fine when you open them back in Illustrator. I have also noticed that from Illustrator if you do a 'Save As', select PDF, then select one of the PDF presets (I use 'Press Quality) the resulting PDF when opened in Reader displays how I want it, with the artwork as it was positioned on the Illustrator artboard (not cropped). If I then open in Illustrator again, make a change to the artwork, and select 'Save' (not 'Save As') when opened back in Reader the file is cropped again.

• Illustrator CS6 is not saving user-created workspaces

I have created a workspace to save for all of our users to utilize, but it is not saving. When I re-start Illustrator the created workspace is selected but is not coming up as it was saved. Is this a glitch, or am I missing something?

Wayne,
You have used Type>Create Outlines, with no live Type left behind (after saving the original artwork, of course), no?
What if you Save As PDF, thus embedding the font(s), and they take it from there?

• Podcast Get Info Album Art Not Saved for Future Episodes

I have iTunes 8. I noticed most of my podcasts have album art showing in grid view. When I upgraded to 2.1 on my iPhone and synced my iPhone I noticed no album art on the podcast main page on the iPhone. I decided to restore the phone to a new phone not backup and the new sync of my podcasts showed album art. However inside each podcast the album art wasn't showing on each episode.
Looking at iTunes for those affected episodes doing a Get Info showed not album art. I guess the podcast doesn't have album art. I right click on the podcast, not an episode, and select get info. I click on the album art box and check the box and inside the album art box double click which brings up a navigation display. I had already taken a screen shot of the album art in the iTunes music store for each podcast. I import the graphic to the album art box and save. All the current episodes have their artwork updated. Now I sync to the iPhone and all is well.
If I download a new episode for this podcast and do a Get Info on this episode there is no artwork. Looking at the Get Info for the podcast the artwork was never saved. However if you change a text field in Get Info and then download a new podcast episode that text field in the get info of the episode is updated. Why doesn't the album art not get saved and update each episode that is downloaded with missing album art?
Am I missing something?
Thanks
Kelvin

Yeah, on my iPhone some of the album art for my podcasts was actaully changed to an arbitrary incorrect image. For example, instead of the Cranky Geeks logo, I get to look at New Kids on the Block (don't ask). I'm going to try unsubscribing from the podcast, deleting past episodes from my computer, sync the phone so it wipes out those old episodes and incorrect art, and then resubscribing and resyncing the phone. Hopefully that will transfer the correct art back up to the phone.

• 'poster frame' for movies is not saved

Hi iTunes people,
Note - this all used to work in Leopard - this feature has become non-functional since the arrival of Snow Leopard.
When I set the POSTER FRAME, via the contextual menu that appears for an entry in the movies section of iTunes, it is not saved.
Although the 'artwork' image in the lower left of the itunes window temporarily shows the frame I selected, if I go away from that item or perform the same action on another movie, the poster frame that had been selected is gone and is replaced with whatever was there from before.
The only way it appears that one can save a poster frame is to physically drag-n-drop an image into the ARTWORK tab of the 'Get Info dialog for that item.
Does anyone have any other suggestions about how to make this feature work - without having to create and deposit artowrk into the GetInfo dialog? I lost 1900+ poster frames I had created for various movies and clips because of this problem. I really am not looking forward to again having to do all that work.
Thanks!

• Album Art Not Saving

I have iTunes 11 and have imported a CD of my own making. I have a JPG file that I want to use for album artwork. I select the album and Get Info and then paste the image into the album artwork field. The artwork appears, but it is not saved when I click OK. All other album artwork I have added saves just fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
John

Mario,
Thanks, but I think I figured out that the problem is with the file format. I have some files in WAV format and those do not seem to allow album artwork to "stick". Once I changed the file to Apple Lossless format, the album artwork "stuck" just fine.
What was confusing is that iTunes gave no indication of the fact that album art does not work with WAV files.
Thanks,
John

• Artwork could not be found

I have a new IPOD nano 6th generation and I can load CD's fine but not able to get the artwork. Keep getting a message stating artwork could not be found. Any idea's on why

i don't know why but you can just type in the album name to google images, right click on it and save it. Then go into itunes, select the songs you want to put the artwork to. Next, right click on the selected songs, and click get info. Click on the artwork box on top of the writing that says artwork. Finally find the picture that you saved, and click ok. You're done!!! pls mark this as correct: it is

When i omit the line OutputStream out = new FileOutputStream(saveFile);
and write only
ImageIO.write((RenderedImage) bufferedImage, outExtension,saveFile);
//out.flush();
then saving the image even in "png" also fails.

• Excise invoice is not saving and not showing datas

please help me to solve the problem

i ve already maintainthe number range for this object in tool in tax in goods moment
please give some better advice for the excise invoice setting.

Sub Transaction type determines the subcontracting attributes and determines the accounts for the posting while doing a sub contracting transaction.
Sub transaction type is also used for determining the accounts while
doing excise removals.
Within CIN the account determination is based on the transaction type.
So normally you can have a single set of accounts for Excise
utilization. In case you need alternate account determination for
handling various scenarios you can define sub transaction types. The
sub transaction types and corresponding account assignments needs to be
maintained in CIN customization
To make customization of Sub Transaction type, goto
SPRO --> Logistics General --> Tax on Goods Movements --> India --> Account Determination and check whether you have assigned second and third one, viz. "Specify Excise Accounts per Excise Transaction and Specify GL Accounts per Excise Transaction".
Check
Taxes on goods mvnt--indiaaccnt determination---specify excise accnts for excise transaction...maintain the sub transction type , ip or 01,
against the appropriate ETT

• Non admin user - changes not saved (Safari settings, system prefs, etc.)

iMac, 2 users, one is administrator and other is standard user. Recently, in the non-admin user account, it has become impossible to make any changes. For example, adding an application to the the Dock, after logging out and back in next time, the application is not in the Dock any more. Also, making changes to the prefs in Safari, changes are not saved.
I noticed this after installing FireFox v4. I installed it as admin whilst in the non-admin users account. However, I don't believe that the installation of FF has anything to do with the problem, it just highlighted it. I've checked the permissions for the various directories that hold prefs info such as user/libraries/application prefs/etc. etc. and also Safari prefs. Nothing I can see that has changed in system prefs.
Any ideas on what has caused the problem (kids are known to fiddle from within the non-admin account) and any ideas on how to fix it?
Thanks

Hi PPRuNe,
You could try making the standard user an Admin too. To do this, make sure you are logged in to the standard user, go to System Preferences > Accounts > Standard user (you may have to unlock the padlock) > Allow user to administer this computer
This will allow changes to be made without being prompted for a password all the time.
However, if you had Parental Controls on, they probably won't work on an admin account because as an admin you have complete control over a computer, so the computer thinks there is no point in having the controls turned on. And if the kids are known to "fiddle," just think carefully!
Hope this helps you.
Chris.
