Artwork location when media is stored in a non-standard location

I run 2 HDD's on my PC - one smaller one for OS and programs, and a 1 TB drive for data. So all my music is stored on D:\Audio Files. Under Audio Files I have \Albums and \Various for my own MP3 music ripped from CD's, and then an \iTunes Music folder for purchased songs. I have iTunes set to automatically save imported music under D:\Audio Files\Albums. But where is the album artwork stored? I don't see an Artwork folder anywhere, and I have had to manually drag a few album covers for ones that iTunes couldn't find or used the wrong one.

It is stored in the same path/subfolder where the itunes database file is stored.
For example, I run my iTunes Library.itl file from my exHD, which is assigned to K: drive letter.
iTunes puts the artwork in K:/Album Artwork.

Can't find CC when install to non-standard location

When I installed Sun Studio Express February 2007 to a non-standard location via the installer program, upon start of the IDE, it says it can't find the CC program. I have set my path properly.
I fixed this problem by just mounting: mount -F lofs /export/sunstudio/SUNWspro /opt/SUNWspro and restarting the IDE (after updating my paths to /opt/SUNWspro/bin of course)

This is weird, I have Sun Studio EA installed in /opt/12 and it has no problem locating compilers... The only difference is that I didn't use installer, I downloaded a .tar file.

GC not discovering DB listener as it's in a non standard location

Hi all,
I have installed a management agent on one of my servers and have launched GC. I can see the host and a number of targets, but I cannot see the database on that server, or the databaser listener. This I think is because the listener.ora file for it is in a non standard place. it is in the specified TNS_ADMIN directory. How do I tell Grid Control to look in there for the listener rather than the usual Oracle home location?
This is Grid Contorl 10.2.0.3, trying to discover a 10.2.0.3 database on a Solaris Sparc server.

Hi,
I can't find a screen labelled Agents within Grid Control. I can see Hosts, Databases, Application Servers, Web Applications, Services, Systems, Groups, All Targets.
The tabs above that read Home, Targets, Deployments, Alertsm Compliance, Jobs, and Reports.
I have tried to discover the database listener I need but it comes back with none, and does not give me an option to add one manually on that screen.
Can you please point me in the right direction?

When I update iTunes, it "loses" all my songs stored in a non-default location. How to prevent?

I store my music library on an external hard drive. Whenever I update iTunes, it "loses" all my songs. When the iTunes library updates, all my tracks get little exclamation points next to them because they are not in the default (C:\my music\itunes music) location. I have my ways of fixing this...but they are a pain. Is there a way to have my music files not get lost when I update iTunes?

Hi dklowther,
iCloud only houses access to Music purchased through iTunes. Any music you put on your iPhone from CDs or other sources would only be on your phone and in your iTunes library that you used to sync the songs to your iPhone. You need to move the contents of your iTunes library from your old computer to your new one....

Updating Apple applications in non standard location with Software Update

Hi all,
just wondering if anyone can help... I figured a solution but I am unhappy with it.
I like to move my applications like 'iPhoto' etc into a custom location, for example '/Applications/Media', and when I do so, 'Software Update' no longer finds updates for them because it expects them to be in '/Applications'. This seems a bit restrictive to me, is there a way I should be registering their new location so 'Software Update' can find them?
At the moment I am moving them back into '/Applications', going through the update process, and then moving them back.

No way to change SU's behavior. However, you could try creating an alias, ensure it has the same name, and see if SU can find it.

Channel in non-standard location & char set

Hi folks,
I have two problems. I'm useing Portal Server 3, and have a custom channel which I would like to display in the location of the small logo (in the �banner�).
I have no idea hoe to do this, I presume I could put it there by defining a [tag:myCustomChannel], but again I don�t know how/where.
The other thing that�s giving me a hard time is that if I set a JSP to have char-set ISO2 (<%@page contentType="text/html; charset=ISO-8859-2"%>) for eastern Europe, I get an error. Can someone help me there as well?

How to solve sync problem between Outlook calendar and iPhone when reminder is set to _some_ non-standard values?

Hi,
I am having a sync problem between my iPhone/iPad and Outlook calendar events (Outlook 2010).
Here is the description of the problem:
1. In Outlook - please create a new event/appointment (e.g. "Test").
2. Reminder is set by default to 15 minutes. You can change it by using a dropdown menu - please select: "0,5 days".
3. Click on "0,5 days" and change it manually to "14,5 days".
4. Click on "Save & Close".
5. (Do not snooze or dismiss the reminder.)
6. Sync with your iPhone/iPad.
7. Open this new event on iPhone/iPad - you can see that alert is set to "15 minutes before" instead to a correct value that was set in Outlook.
The same problem can be seen if you set the reminder to e.g. "3 weeks" (standard value is "2 weeks").
However, it is interesting that non-standard values like "1,5 days" (and all other until "13,5 days") are synced without any problem.
Does anyone have a solution how to solve this problem (different than the trivial solution of not using those strange values)?

Thanks to another post (https://discussions.apple.com/message/17501071#17501071) I reset the sync history, here is what to do:
Launch iTunes.
Before you hook up your iPhone to the PC and iTunes do this: Go to iTunes Edit menu > Preferences… > select the iPhone > click the Reset Synch History button > click OK.
Connect the iPhone to the PC and let iTunes recognize it.
In the top right corner is the iPhone icon, click on the left side of the iPhone icon > the iPhone menu launches.
In the menu along the top click on Info > make your selections > click Sync button > it gives you a dialog at the top with the steps it’s going through during the sync.
In the top left of the iTunes app > click Exit.

Troubles with build qt app to non-standard location

i need to compile app (Choqok) to $HOME/somewhere
I use cmake -DCMAKE_INSTALL_PREFIX=$HOME/kde4/ ../ , make, make install.
But, app is broken ( http://twio.cz/ac9t ), some libraries probably missing.
I was try set ld.so.conf to ~/kde4/libs and update cache, but no effect. In Ubuntu is all ok.
What is wrong please ? I really dont know

Checking for storage location when picking

Hi all,
I'm trying to put some code in the picking requirement to check whether user enters a storage location when they pick via program LV07A111.
the storage location is in table LIPS (item table), however, this table is not populated at all. Do you know why LIKP (header table) is populated, but not LIPS? If LIPS is not populated, do you know of another table where I can check for the storage location after picking?

"Field ID of Standard Location Structure for Development empty" error?

Hi there
I am implementing the land use management enhancement. It allows me to define an object called a "Public Register" which represents a "set" of land objecs (land parcels, rental units, etc) under special circumstances such as hazardous areas.
Unfortunately it returns two errors on validation/save:
Field ID of Standard Location Structure for Development empty
Field ID of Standard Location Structure for Easement Reg empty
It has no description or reference to any documentation.
What could this error mean?

Music in 2 locations, iTunes media music and iTunes music folder???????

I have music in 2 locations, iTunes media music and a iTunes music folder. The media/music folder appears to have more content. What is the difference between these two locations and can one be deleted without losing content?

With iTunes 8 and earlier the "correct" location for music was:
<User's Music>\iTunes\iTunes Music\<Artist>\<Album>\## <Name>.<Ext>
Since iTunes 9 this has become:
<User's Music>\iTunes\iTunes Media\Music\<Artist>\<Album>\## <Name>.<Ext>
If your library started in the old layout it may have been inadvertently switched to the new one at some point, with a mix of content in both locations.
Check under Edit > Preferences > Advanced that the media folder location is set to <User's Music>\iTunes\iTunes Media (assuming your library is stored in the usual place).
Under File > Library > Organize Library... tick "Rearrange files...", if possible, and "Consolidate files", then click OK. This will drag in copies of any file currently stored outside of the media folder.
Assuming you're happy letting iTunes organize your media then under Edit > Preferences > Advanced turn "Keep..." off, Click OK, then go back and turn it on again. This will ensure that everything is set out in the current layout.
Anything now stored outside iTunes Media, e.g. in ..\iTunes\iTunes Music, is now a disconnected copy and can be safely deleted.
You should also backup your library, ideally before you start tidying up just in case something goes wrong and you need to revert.

Cannot locate missing media

I cannot locate missing media. When I try to locate it, and browse my computer I cannot find it

Have you deleted or renamed any directories on your computer, and you've checked the recycle bin/trash can in case they are in there ?
If it's not on your computer then do you have a backup of your library that you can copy the missing items back from, or do you have them on an iOS device to copy them from ? You can copy iTunes purchases back from a device via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, or you might be able to redownload them via the Purchased section of your account (whether you can redownload them depends upon your country, the type of item, if they are still in the store, and if you've moved countries since buying them) - on the current version of iTunes (iTunes 12) click on your id towards the top right of the iTunes screen and then click Purchased on the popup :
For both copying back from a device and redownloading you will need to delete the entries from your iTunes library (where you are getting the 'unable to locate' message) for iTunes to allow you to do copy/redownload them.
To copy back from a device media that wasn't bought from iTunes you will need a third-party program on your computer to copy them back : Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device

Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can only locate your device when it is logged into iCloud and 'Find My Phone' is enabled, additionally the device will need to be switched on and connected to a wifi or cellular network.
Unfortunately, you cannot activate iCloud or 'Find My Phone' remotely.

When you open the project, it should ask you where the first file is located. After you tell it where it is, it should be able to find the rest of them if they are located near the first one. Then save the file. If you move the files again, you will have to relink them again.
