Artwork not syncing fix?

Using iTunes 8 / iPhone 3G 2.1 Some art work gets lost in syncing w/ iTunes.
I found if I uncheck "sync music" in iTunes hit "Apply" then recheck "sync music" they are all back untill I resync againg a couple of times the the same ones dissappear. APPLE PLEASE fix this issue! This applies to manually and automaticly added artwork. have read thru all suggestions and tried all on related posts and nothing works permenantly.

Additional info: Some of the problem artwork shows in the next / last album view in the flow libaray (angled view to either side of album in flow)some don't.
Fix that has worked so far for me...
In iTunes music tab:
-select all songs in the album before album missing art: right click and clear defult grid artwork and clear downloaded artwork, Reinstall the artwork
-select all songs in the album after album missing art: right click and clear defult grid artwork and clear downloaded artwork, Reinstall the artwork
-select all songs in the album missing artwork: right click and clear defult grid artwork and clear downloaded artwork, Reinstall the artwork
-resync iPhone
Artwork shows up again for most of the missing art. still have a couple of problem ones left, including 1 I downloaded last night from iTunes.
-Delete album that is missing artwork in any way, preview, full view, postview in flow.
-Reinstall album and artwork
The only link in the albums that I was having problems with was ripping multipule albums at once to iTunes before syncing with the iphone.
I will try ripping single albums to iTunes and syncing after each one from now on to see if there is a conection and repost.
I assume it is a problem with the way iPhone embeds the artwork for the flow view file and that adding multipule discs at once screws up the embeding for the flow view as they are not in order.

The EXACT same thing is happening to me. My phone is brand new, so the fact that I can't activate it due to this problem is really frustrating. I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes several times, followed apple's instructions in its problem solvers guide...nothing seems to work. I've messed around with the drivers a bit too, with no luck. Anyone have any ideas?
Go to the Event Viewer (Control Panel || Administrative Tools || Event Viewer) and look under Windows Logs || Application. Do you see any Bonjour errors? Since Windows 7 recognizes the camera part of the iPhone (nicely done Win7 integration!) Microsoft is probably not the culprit here.
Uninstall/reinstall iTunes is part of the process, but you also have to make sure you uninstall all the other components Apple installs (Apple Mobile Device Support, Bonjour for Windows, QuickTime), do a reboot, and then install everything from scratch. That may fix the problem.
This is exactly what an Apple guy talked me through over the phone. (I think I even uninstalled Apple Software Updater) I had a similar problem with the iPad on Win7 x64 - it was Bonjour that is the culprit. The x64 flavor of Bonjour for Windows is not as stable as the 32-bit version.
But everything has been golden for me since the reinstall...
    Give that a try.
Then if not, you could start looking to see if there is another ZeroConf/SSDP provider that is conflicting with Apple's somehow.

  • Album artwork not syncing

Ever since the new iTunes and Yosemite I find most of my album art is missing on my iPhone 5S.  It's all in iTunes and looks just fine.  It's mostly missing on my iPhone.  I've tried removing my music library from the iPhone and then re-syncing it from scratch.  Still hasn't worked.  I thought maybe some one here might have an answer.
    Yosemite 10.10.1 (14B25)
    iTunes 12.0.1.26
    iOS 8.1.2
    Thanks!
    Steve

These instructions will have to be modified if you've moved the iTunes folder from its usual location.
Back up all data before proceeding.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
    ~/Music/iTunes/Album Artwork/Cache
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with a subfolder named "Cache" selected. Quit iTunes if it's running. Move the selected folder to the Trash. Relaunch the application and re-download all album artwork.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination  command-C. In the Finder, select
              Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.

  • Album artwork not syncing to my iPod from iTunes.

No problem seeing artwork in iTunes but none of the artwork is syncing to my 160GB Classic. Setting is OK in iTunes to get artwork and show it on my iPod. Please help. I don't know what else to do. Thanks in advance.

It might help to force iTunes to renew all the artwork on the ipod. Disable the option to include artwork, sync, then re-enable it & sync again.
iTunes seems to cope if at least one of the tracks on the album contains art however the Cover Flow & Album views on the iPod only work if they find artwork for track 1, and the now playing screen needs artwork embedded in each track.
To find all the tracks in your libray that don't have artwork use http://www.stum.de/itunes-find-tracks-without-artwork/ for Windows or http://dougscripts.com/itunes/scripts/scripts13.php for Macs.
If you're using a search engine to locate suitable images they should be square, 200x200 pixels or above and ideally borderless to give the best results in the various menus on the iPod.

  • DVD album artwork not syncing up properly

Hello all. I have been trying to move various DVD's on to my iPad with mild success. Movies purchased via iTunes have moved over just fine. I then have been moving over movies that I ripped on to my iTunes account. These movies obviously don't have attached album artwork, so I click on "Get Info", go to the album artwork tab, and cut and paste movie poster which I find on the internet. I then drag them over into my iPad. This worked great for two movies. But all the others just show the same "album artwork" (Mr.and Mrs Smith). When I click on the movie in from the video app, it properly shows the correct album artwork after the DVD "unfolds" into the screen where you would push play, ect. When I click the back button to close the DVD, the DVD artwork, folds and goes back inline with all the other movies, but then immediately switches back to the Mr. and Mrs. Smith artwork. So, my DVD album looks like it is filled with Mr. and Mrs. Smith movies (I like that movie, just not that much). Each movie does show the proper artwork under its, "Get Info" settings tab. And I have my sync settings set to "manually manage my files" (have that box not checked makes all my items "greyed out"). Any help would be great. Thanks in advance,

I've had the same problem, sone of my artwork was displayed on Mac, but blank on the iPhone. The above suggestions haven't worked for me. It's only been a problem since I started using iTunes Match (and it also prevents play counts syncing back to Mac, but that's a separate issue) and I have turned off Match and all my problems have gone away - artwork synced properly and all my playcounts too..
    Match is the problem..

  • Movie artwork not syncing?

  • Audible Artwork Not Syncing Properly on iPod

When I Sync With iTunes, the Artwork from My Audible Books is replaced With random artwork From Apple's Genius Mixes.  (Which I find totally bizarre).  I have tried removing the music from my iPod, re-syncing with no music, then re-syncing to add the music again, and it only made the matter worse.  Before, only a few audible books had this problem, now they all have Genuius Mixes as their artwork.  In iTunes, the artwork is perfect.  When I look at the info on the Audible Books, the artwork is perfect.  Seems be some syncing voodoo.  Anyone have any ideas?

If you are using iTunes from version 7 onwards, then when you connect the iPod the summary screen should automatically open.
If you click on the 'music' tab, you will see the option to:
"display album artwork on your iPod".
    Is this checked?

  • Album artwork will not sync with my Ipod Touch

I have the latest 8GB Ipod Touch.  I have gone into the info setting and changed the settings so that I can copy/paste album artwork not found by Apple.  The problem is this artwork will show up prior to be synced but once I synce my Ipod the artwork will not show up.  Can someone help me figure out how to fix this?  Thank you for your help!!!!!!!

Have you checked on your iPod Touch to make sure that Podcasts are not restricted?
Look on the iPod in Settings/General/Restrictions. If it is on, go into the Restrictions and check to see what specific restrictions you have for Podcasts.
If it is not on, check again when you connect your iPod to your iTunes Library.
When the Device appears on the left hand side, select Device. You are now on the Summary pane. At the top of the window, you will see Summary selected. Look to the right for the Podcasts pane and select that. On this pane are the Podcast Sync options.

  • FIXED (for me at least): iPhone 3gs will not sync with Gateway NV79

I’ve spent months trying to fix this miserable problem with getting my iPhone 3gs to sync with my new Gateway NV79. Gateway will not help. Their technical support is genuinely worthless. Microsoft blames Apple and Apple blames Gateway.
My old iPod Nano syncs to my Gateway NV79 without a problem. I’ve tried all of the proposed fixes but other posters with no success.
But I do believe I’ve discovered a real fix (for me at least). Here’s my setup:
    • Gateway NV79 running Windows 7 64 bit edition
    • iTunes 10
    • iPhone 3gs running OS 4.02
The USB ports needs tweaking to get the iPhone 3gs to sync to the Gateway NV79. Follow these steps without your iPhone 3gs connected to the Gateway NV79:
Step 1: Go to Control Panel
    1. Open Control Panel
    2. Click Hardware & Sound
    3. Click Power Options
    4. Make sure Balanced is selected and click Change Plan Settings
    5. Click Change advanced power settings
    6. Expand USB Settings
    7. Expand USB selective suspend setting
    8. Change On Battery setting to Disabled.
    9. Change Plugged in setting to Disabled
    10. Click OK
Step 2: Go to Windows Explorer
    1. Open Windows Explorer
    2. Right-Click Computer (not your computer name)
    3. Click Properties
    4. Click Device Manager
    5. Expand Universal Serial Bus Controllers
    6. Right-click first Generic USB Hub
    7. Click Properties
    8. Click Power Management
    9. Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
    10. Click OK
    11. Right-click second Generic USB Hub
    12. Click Properties
    13. Click Power Management
    14. Uncheck Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power
    15. Click OK
    16. Restart your computer
After your computer restarts, login and connect your iPhone.
You must complete both steps. Step 1 is required for Step 2 to stick.
There are a few things that may happen. iTunes may start syncing immediately and fail with an error. Don’t worry. If the sync fails the first time, restart the computer with the iPhone still connected. Now, iTunes will either take you to setup screen to connect your iPhone or the sync may restart. In my case, the setup screen came up and I DID NOT CHOOSE TO RESTORE. Pick the first option to add your iPhone. The sync will restart and may or may not finish. Don’t worry, if the sync fails, restart your computer again with the iPhone still connected and this time the sync will work.
Here’s the problem: the iPhone 3gs will not sync with the power management enabled for the USB ports on the Gateway NV79.
    Good luck.

If you cannot update your computer, you will not be able to sync your phone. The requirements are:
    Mac system requirements
Mac computer with USB 2.0 port
Mac OS X v10.5.8 or later
iTunes 10.1 or later (free download from www.itunes.com/download)
    iTunes Store account
    Internet access
