Artwork window is missing

I just transferred my iTunes library from an old iMac G5 to a new MacBook Pro. Everything seems to be working OK, but... the window that displays album artwork in the lower left corner (i.e. "Display Selected Item") has vanished. How can I get it back? (iTunes version 10.6.1)

Deleting the artwork then getting it again didn't work. No artwork was downloaded and iTunes was still unable to stream the album.
But I found out I could download the album and with it came the artwork.
So the problem is now narrowed down to iTunes not being able to stream the album and not being able to get the album artwork while the album is in the cloud.
Anyway, with the album downloaded I cannot readily reproduce the problem so I'll put it to rest for now.

Hi, try this...
If nothing is showing in the Toolbar at top, click the little gray oval at top right.
Right click or Control+click on the Toolbar, choose Customize Toolbar, drag the Send button to the Toolbar.

No image in artwork window; XML validates; pinged iTMS; still NO image

I apologize for the duplicate post. First posted within a post regarding image size. Image size is not our problem. This post is an attempt to correct my mistake.
My department has produced several podcast for our agency. (http://www.myetv.org/podcast) . All is working well with one exception.
The image is not appearing in the artwork window when you subscribe to a podcast and play one of its episodes. (Podcasts have been submitted and accepted by iTunes for 3 weeks).
XML file can be viewed at http://www.myetv.org/podcast/feeds/SpoletoToday_with_MarcusOverton.xml . We cannot figure out what we are doing wrong. We have pinged iTunes to update and still nothing. We have included the necessary itunes:image tag in the XML files. (According to http://www.nobodylikesonions.com/feedcheck/ XML is correct).
1) I've noticed in many discussions here, and also in Apple's Tech Specs, there is a space after .jpg” and before />. Is this space necessary for iTunes to recognize the tag?
(EXAMPLE: <itunes:image href="http://example.com/podcasts/everything/AllAboutEverything.jpg" />)
2) Is it necessary to include the width and height tags for the image to display in iTunes.
3) It is my understanding that it is not necessary to embed the image within each episode of a podcast, unless you want a different image to display for each episode or you want the image to display for an iPod. Is this correct?
Any assistance would be very much appreciated.

The problem is not with the feed or iTunes - it is that the image you are looking for should be in the ID3 tags and not the Feed.
See the tutorial above.
The image needs to be imbeded in the MP3 file before you upload to the server.
So for point 3 below - no you are not correct - you do need to imbed the image into each MP3 file if you want the artwork to show up when the individual file is being played.
RSS Art work is for the Main page in iTunes.
MP3 Art work is for the individual episodes.

Allow network users to login at login window option missing

I hope someone can shed some light on this.
I have bound a 10.6.2 machine to a Windows 2003 domain successfully. However, the checkbox to "allow network users to login at login window" is missing completely. There's a blank space. I've looked at a few other machines that haven't been joined to the domain and the option is missing from there as well.
Am I missing something simple? Did I miss something during the OS install? This is a fresh 10.6.2 install.
Any help would be greatly appreciated as this is keeping us from allowing domain users to log on. Thanks in advance.

I installed ADmitMac and the option shows up. I removed it and the option goes away. There's obviously a flag being set somewhere. Any thoughts?

Thanks for getting back. I know my answers seem too obvious at times, but never leave out the simple ones just in case.
So lets look at two things: Keyboard Shortcuts and System Preferences.
Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts opens a dialog box. Press your Option key, and the Cancel button turns into a Reset button to get shortcuts back to defaults. Clicking on Reset may fix it.
The second is Preference resets. Hold down cmd-opt-shift and start Photoshop. It will ask if you wish to delete the settings file. Answering "Yes" many times clears up the problem.

What are the best solutions for artwork that is missing? I've heard of Rinse. Are there any risk of damage to my music database if I use any of theses?

Compressors and limiters are great tools . . . just be careful not to overuse them.
Too much will squeeze the life out of your sound, especially if it is going to be broadcast and therefore compressed/limited again.

Itunes 9.2 update windows vista missing file: itunes.msi

I was instructed to download the latest update, which I have but now can't install it due to getting the error message saying that the itunes.msi file is missing. I can't uninstall itunes because of the same error. After doing some digging around I know that there used to be a solution that used the "Windows clean up facility" but that has now been retired by Microsoft and shouldn't be used! I have no idea what to do now and its getting very frustrating. Please help!

Fair enough that you aren't keen on using the utility. Unfortunately, it's the only really effective and straightforward way I've found of dealing with a missing iTunes.msi in the five or so years I've been troubleshooting that particular class of errors.

Photoshop CC 2014 - Window Libraries Missing

Watched the Adobe Keynote and looked at Help files about using this new feature. In my Photoshop CC 2014 under Window I should have a Libraries option. I don't. It just goes from Layers to Measurement Log, nothing in between. I checked for updates through Creative Cloud and it said I am up to date. I reset preferences. No luck. What am I missing? Thanks.

For anyone else with this problem it is a pain but, yes Arpit is correct. Uninstall Photoshop CC 2014.1, go to the Adobe site and sign in, go to Apps, download Photoshop CC 2014 again and install. It should open as 2014.2. Then you can see Windows>Libraries
I'm not sure why my system repeatedly would not see there was an update to Photoshop. That seems like a bug to me for a subscription based service. Wonder what else I might be missing out on?
Now I hope my Libraries content (which shows up in Photoshop) will now start showing up in the cloud online. It is missing. Ugh.

Acrobat X Pro - Windows 7 - Missing context menu

Hi, so I just installed Adobe Acrobat X Pro on a Windows 7 computer and noticed how the context menu "right click" for "Combine PDF files" are missing. Open with Adobe Acrobat X however is there, but when selecting two or more PDF files, this option isn't there anymore. It was before installing Acrobat X from Acrobat 9.3.
I tried regsvr32 for ContextMenu.dll as well as the ContextMenu64.dll, since this is a 64bit Windows 7 computer. I also tried removing the entry from registry. When I ran the regsvr32 again, the registry entry came back. So the registering of the dll seems to be working.
The only thing I haven't tried yet is to restart the computer. Would that be necessary? Or is this option removed from Acrobat X?

do the following to see if you get them back
register the Contextmenu64.dll (if on a 64bit system)
located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat Elements
Open a command prompt as an administrator
type:
cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Adobe\Acrobat 10.0\Acrobat Elements
hit return
type:
regsvr32 Contextmenu64.dll
hit return
check if these context menu's have returned for supported files.
I had the same issue and this worked for me.

Window Controls Missing?

Okay, back in my previous OSX, if I opened a folder I got a window with various control icons across the top. Among them, on the far right, was an oblong button that toggled this control bar visible or invisible. In Lion, this toggle button has disappeared. So, okay, I can't hide the search box or View options, that's cool....
EXCEPT that when I open certain folders, usually it seems, from my 3rd-Party Dragthing dock application, I get windows with this status / control area hidden! I don't see any way to get the window to display these View controls and search box. I think I get this problem in other situations too.
What am I missing here? Why in the world allow these neutered windows that can do nothing but open and close?

Was the little button on the window so unspeakably *hideous* that they had to remove it and turn this basic feature in to a menu item? Really? Okay, so there's a triple-keystroke combination for it - that's great.
This is exactly the kind of gratuitous change that serves no use but to cause a lot of users a series of fairly low-level nuisances that make them resentful for having had to upgrade. Classic Microsoft engineering. Or eBay "problem solving" -- as in, this isn't a problem, but if we change it we can call it an upgrade. Two versions later they'll reintroduce the toggle button and boast about the new "more intuitive" interface.

I was referred here from http://answers.microsoft.com site, by a Microsoft Support Engineer....
I had (and still have virtual-box). I have installed yesterday the VMware workstation as well (which apparently is not compatible with Hyper-V.
I've installed both Windows10 Preview flavors under HYPER-V. On either one, I cannot connect to the internet (and thus activate either). The x64bit says it's missing files needed (I've
checked detailed view, it points to "missing windows sockets registry entries" and has 2 "?" marks under Device manager (one of which is the acpi) - Even after a fresh, SECOND, install.
The x86 flavor, says i do not have valid ip. (I had to make local user account because of the no internet access). I went through the defaults while installing
(no motherboards drivers have been asked to be installed). This is a Desktop computer with wired high-band routers.
Can anyone suggest a solution for the connection? (I now obviously also have the external switch and is is connected and i can surf on the primary Win8.1 OS).
Do I really need BOTH VMware and Hyper-V installed / Which one is better for this specific problem..
ANY help will be greatly appreciated.

I've took off Hyper-V completely. Re-stared, Tried to set it up under VMware workstation, got the same results. Either "no valid ip", or missing sockets. (Vmware adapter is enables, but no connection in either ipv4 and
ipv6. Exactly the same
happens with Hyper-V.

Update 2:
Problem resolved. Here's what i did:
Completely removed the Hyper-V platform from Windows Featured. Then rebooted.
(Vmware services are still running but with no usage for now).
Opted in the Enable PAE/NX under system/Processor tab in VirtualBox.
Opted in the Enable VT-x/AMD-V & Nested Paging under system/Acceleration tab in VirtualBox.
Created the Virtual PC as VHD!!
Both of the above -- are grayed out when the Hyper-V platform is installed and therefor will NOT allow Windows 10 Preview to either install well or connect and activate - until the Hyper-V is removed.
Seems that taking OFF the native, built in Hyper-V Virtualization Platform altogether - Solved the issue.
Just shows that the respectable VirtualBox (v.4.3.12),
Works like a charm where the other two platforms, Did not. (Kindly note that the Hyper-V Switch, was installed with no evadent issues, it did show traffice - for a few seconds, then remained enabled BUT both IPv4 & IPv6 went to no connection).
Windows managed to successfully Connect and auto activate -- on both x86 & x64 flavors.

Use this set of drivers and put on FAT Flash memory card to access.
They will work and better due to your having a 2011 model you should consider Lion OS eventually.
Can't locate? the Apple Setup.exe or Bootcamp.msi (Bootcamp64.msi for 64-bit) will only be accessible when in Windows.

Windows installer missing??? Satellit A505-S6960

Have had the computer since late August. Used constantly. Yesterday when I turn it on it gave me an error message loading the webcam as well as my malware sweep program.    says itunes is not installed correctly.   Also can't access microsoft word etc.     So I figure I will reinstall and do a sweep. Sounds like possibly a virus.   Can't reinstall because it says my windows installer is missing.
Any clues???

Reinstall what? Exactly which file are you trying to execute?
And please quote the precise error message on a line by itself. We don't care what it "says" - just want the exact string of characters. Spelling counts.
In the meantime, try this. In the Start menu's Search box, carefully type the following line.
   msiexec /unreg
And then type this.
   msiexec /regserver
