As I go from page to page i have to zoom in to make it big each time?

If I go on a web site sometimes I have to zoom in to be able to read it .And if open more pages each one has to be zoomed to see.
I know there must be something simple but I can't find it.

You can use one of these extensions to set a default font size and page zoom on web pages:

Do you have the current version of list.it (version 0.4.8.9.1)? This page https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/12737/ indicates it is compatible with all Firefox 3.6.* versions.
Tools > Add-ons > Extensions shows what version. If it is old, click "Find Updates" at the bottom of the Extensions window.

Unfortunately this all seems a little rough around the edges -- for example, I have found updates for AppStore apps on the support.apple.com updates download site, but then when I install them via ARD they don't actually update the software. (The AppStore icons still show as needing the updates, and the version info reports the old version.) The documentation is also vague about which AppleID to use in which circumstance. I think they just haven't finished thinking through the implications of the various procedures and policies upon the various kinds of customers. When we deployed Mountain Lion on the school lab, we made an install usb and went around and installed it on each computer -- and it appears that you are on the honor system as far as paying for all of the licenses that you install. We did! But they appear to have no way to enforce it.
So far, I have only deployed 9 Lion macs in my day job, and our "solution" to the AppStore showing updates problem has been to drag the AppStore icon off of the users' docks so they don't see them!

PDF made from Pages wont have commenting rights in Acrobat

I am sending documents created in Pages as PDF files to people with Acrobat 8 for their review. Both in Mac and PCs.
I would like them to be able to add comments as when adding an annotation in Preview but it appears that this right is NOT Allowed when using the document in Acrobat.
This happens when I export to PDF on Page and when I print as PDF.
Any ideas?????

This makes no sense to me, sorry. I just dropped a scribble into a Quartz PDF on the desktop, opened it in Acrobat Pro 6.01, added a comment, saved back to the desktop, opened in Preview and there was my scribble and my comment. The people you are talking to may not know that to get the comments menu and toolbar in Acrobat you need to Control-click on the main menu bar.
The property of adding annotations is not a property of the PDF authoring application but of the PDF consuming application. Annotation is part and parcel of even the earliest versions of the Portable Document Format and is available in the first version of what was then Acrobat Exchange, the predecessor of the present Acrobat toolbox application.

I can't print a web page via Preview or directly from page. Have to use Safari which works.

I can no longer use Firefox (last 5 months or so) and be able to print anything especially using Preview (which is automatic) on my MAC. Safari works great.

Do you have any custom DNS settings on the devices that cannot connect?
What happens If you connect to a different Wifi network outside of your home with any of the devices that can't open the website in your home, can you view the website?
If you Ping the website from home what IP address does it attempt to ping?

The Firefox [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Page+Zoom Page Zoom] feature does a domain by domain level of saving the users preferred zoom level settings, there is no default Page Zoom level setting in Firefox, as with some other browsers.

Export from Pages to ePub??

Help! I need to export from Pages to epub. I've read the tutorial a hundred times and it says that when you click on "export" one of the options should be epub. However, my only options are pdf, word, or rtf. What am I doing wrong?

If your admin bought the iWork package as a DVD, Pages '09 version 4.0.3 is really the late version available on this media.
As fruhulda wrote, you must get and apply an updater (maybe you must ask the admin to do that, I know that some of them are a bit picky).
PS, since last wednesday, the best Apple tool to create ePub is the free iBooks Author.

It stops the program suits the times and I have to make a forced exit!
This puts a very important issue!
We seek the solution in the short term.

Just done: the application crashes trying to export IDML!!!
This is not a good sign. Try moving the pages to another document using the Pages panel menu.
But you should also try copying all the items on one page and pasting them into another document.
Then when you've got a few pages in the new document, try moving or deleting them. Or try exporting as IDML.
Also, build a completely new sample document (doesn't have to be all the information) from scratch and try deleting/moving those pages.
This will help us see if it's just one document or all.

Faxing from pages document

If I want to fax a document from Pages, I go to File>Print>PDF>Fax PDF... then I get a message:"No fax modems found". I can send faxes directly (walk-up) from my HP C7280 (All-in-One). I am connected wirelessly to the printer (I can print documents, etc.). What I'm asking is: Can I fax a document from Pages? Have I chosen the wrong path?

My apologies for a very late acknowledgement of your reply! Due to a confluence of factors (new to Apple Discussions, new to Mac, new printer, and too much busyness), I dropped the ball...sorry. Meanwhile, my problem has been solved, as follows:
From Pages document>Print>Printer (uppermost drop-down menu)>choose the printer with fax designation (in my case, it shows the printer IP address for wireless connection). Midway down the window, drop-down menu is headed by "layout". Drop the menu>Fax Recipients>Fill in name & fax #>click "Add to Fax Recipients". "Send Fax Now" button (lower R corner of window) lights up. I can then send fax. If I want to first add a fax cover sheet>"layout" drop-down menu>choose "Fax Cover Sheet". The window then shows "Cover Page Template". There's a choice of Templates 1-8. There's a small Template preview window (lower right corner), but the print is tiny and unclear (can't make it bigger or clearer). I needed to send samples of all templates to a friend in order to see what they were like! (HP had no better solution!). After choosing a Template, I entered recipient name, fax #, and my message (in "Notes" window). The "Send fax now" button lights up. I then click it and send the fax with cover sheet.
It's a lot of fussing, but it gets the job done. When time allows, I'll set up a Workflow to ease the pain!

While writing a journal I drag many photos from iPhoto to the journal pages. Every time I get a pop-up that asks if I want to publish to Facebook which I don't. I have to cancel it each time and it's driving me crazy!

I have to stop and cancel the pop-up each time which is time consuming. How do I get this to stop? It's driving me crazy. (And yes I am a member of Facebook.)

With iPhoto open, from the menu bar click iPhoto / Preferences then select the Accounts tab.
If you see Facebook on the left select that then click - (minus)
Quit then relaunch iPhoto. See if that makes a difference.

How to load a PDF from page 1 in IE

I am currenty working on a fllex based web application that needs to load multiple PDF documents. The pdfs are loaded and displayed properly but after the user scrolls couple of pages/ lines and switches to a new document, IE saves the last visit cursor position of the pdf document. On user revisit to the first PDF the IE loads it from the last cursor position.
I need to reload the PDF document from Page 1 everytime the user selects to load a pdf document.
Is there any setting in the Adobe Acrobat Page display settings or in the IE that would help me accomplish my task.
Please respond ASAP.
NOTE: The pdf is loaded inside an IFRAME.

The ActiveX control definitely loads a URL. See the "src" property of the ActiveX control. If you download the SDK, the ActiveView sample actually loads a PDF from a URL by default.

Cant open document from Pages

Your “invisible” type may be the result of a recent update to 10.6.4. Did you just update via Software Update in the Apple menu? That has caused a variety of problems, including not seeing the type. The remedy is to update with the Combo update available here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1048
Also, be sure that you have the latest version of Pages.
Try this and let us know if any problems persist.
