CME is part of the IOS, so you can't upgrade the IOS seperately from CME.
That said, if this is a production environment you should proceed with caution and be prepared to roll back as you may find bugs, etc.
You should also look at release notes and make sure your phone firmware will still work or needs to be upgraded too.

  • All that I have read indicates I should be able to upgrade the IOS  of a Iphone 3gs from ver 4.2.1 to 4.3 or 5.0 at the least. Most apps have been upgraded to 4.3 minimum. All unavailable to me using ver 4.2.1. How can I upgrade to 4.3  or are there probs

Why cannot the Iphone 3gs be upgraded from ios 4.2.1 to 4.3 or 5.0

Perhaps yours is an iPhone 3G and not a 3Gs...

  • How to upgrade the extended web application for FBA from MOSS 2007 to SharePoint 2010?

    Hi All,
Currently my farm version is MOSS 2007 with SP3.
I have a web application on port 80, and is based on windows authentication, and i extend it on the port 90, and the authentication is FBA with SqlServer.
I know that SharePoint 2010 has a new claims based authentication, and in a single web application you can do both windows authentication and FBA.
Now i want to know, when i migrate the MOSS 2007 port 80 and port 90, which method should i choose?
    1. in SharePoint 2010 farm, Create  a classic based web application on port 80, and extend it on port 90, enable FBA on port 90. It is the same as MOSS 2007.
    2. in SharePoint 2010 farm, Create a claims based web application, and enable both windows authentication and FBA.
    Thanks.

FBA requires claims so you'll need to create a claims based web application. Whilst you might extend the site to give you a FBA portal the web application itself will have to be claims based.
I would definitely be looking at using a database attach upgrade path in your case to give you the opportunity for testing as moving between authentication providers can be painful.

  • Upgraded the operating system on my iPad from iOS 4.x.x to the latest iOS 7.4.x.

Before upgrading did all the right things like backing up all the apps etc onto iTunes on my home PC.  However when I came to restart the iPad after th software update it will not let me restore anything and comes up with an error message becuase it says "Find my iPhone" is swtiched on, and to switch it off before doing this.  Trouble is I can't becuase I can't get past the Connect to your iTunes screen in the start up.  Anyone got any ideas how to get around this?
    Thanks

Try force iPad into Recovery Mode. Follow step 1 to 6 very closely.

  • Can i upgrade the lite version of my e90 from 2.0 to 2.1?

anybody has used this upgrade for e90?

    Ciao
you might be able to install Flash Lite 3 when is available
but we do not know which handsets it will have support for. My
guess is that the E90 will be supported since it's the same
    platform of the N95.

  • All my mailboxes in Office for mac 2011 deleted when upgrading the version of OS X Lion from 10.7.3?

    Morning.
I upgraded my OS X Lion software from 10.7.3 yesterday and once done all my mailboxes in Outlook for Mac 2011 had been deleted - Outlook for Mac is completely empty! I have a yahoo and gmail account which are easy enough to resync, however I also had historical .pst files loaded up that I don't have any other copies of, that i need urgently :-).
I am using Time Machine to back up to a Time Capsule, so I restored to the backup about an hour before I did the OS X Lion update, however my Outlook folder is still empty :-(.
Please can someone assist in resolving this? How can I recover or locate the data files and reupload?
    Many Thanks,
    Chris

Thanks for your reply, much appreciated. I went to the respective folder and found the database file, however when I try open in Outlook I get the following message "You have not set up an e-mail account." and that I need to set an email account to send and receive messages?
In addition I tried to then import the database file and received the following message "The data file is damaged and Outlook is not able to import it". I then went into my later backup's in Time Machine, however there are no Data files under the Main Identity folder to compare against the current one? Any ideas what else I can do, and also why this would be he case? Many Thanks

  • Upgrade the database from SE to EE

is it possible to upgrade the 10.1.0.4 database from Standard Edition to Enterprise Edition without new installation?
    Regards,

Well you need to install the Enterprise edition after de-installing the standard edition (either in same OH or a new one).
You can refer Metalink note 117048.1 for complete process.

  • Upgrade the ACS agent OS

    Good morning all,
Awhile ago, we started using ACS with an LDAP external database thus elimating the need for an ACS agent.  However, we have created some custom scripts that incorporate some logging from the ACS agent. So although we started sendign log files to a Advent Syslog server, we need to send them to a windows file that will put them in the old .csv format.
    Here is my questions:
Can I upgrade the OS on Cisco Remote Agent from a Windows 2000 to Windows XP or Windows 2003 server?  And how do I configure it to strictly dump log files to it?
    Thank you
    Dwane

    Hi Dwane,
We cannot install Remote agent on XP so we need to use win2003 OS. Here is the link that explains about setting up remote logging.

  • CC&B 2.1.0 upgrade of use of Microfucos visual cobol from net express

Would there be any issue of upgrading the use of Microfocus Visual Cobol from Net Express?

starfry wrote:I don't know if it's related to your problem but GPG2.1 doesn't allow pass phrases to be specified in a file or on the command-line. See the page on unattended operation, look at "%ask-passphrase" and "%no-protection" https://www.gnupg.org/documentation/man … ation.html
Thanks for the link - that's only for gen-key, however. But I do confirm the "--passphrase-fd 0" is supposed to still be working as described in the current docs:
    https://www.gnupg.org/documentation/man … ic-Options
    --passphrase-fd n
Read the passphrase from file descriptor n. Only the first line will be read from file descriptor n. If you use 0 for n, the passphrase will be read from STDIN. This can only be used if only one passphrase is supplied.
So in theory the functionality hasn't changed. :-/

  • Should I upgrade the internal hdd on my 2008 8.1 iMac or use an external drive?

I have an external hdd right now it is a 500gb go seagate goflex with a number of iTunes folders that I put on from my windows pc. I just received this 2008 2.4ghz core 2 duo 8.1 iMac and tried to import the files. The internal hdd is only 250gb so they would not fit, when I tried to get iTunes to run from the external drive it would but I would have to manually open each artist then album then song I wanted in the Finder for it to play. The songs do not show up automatically in iTunes, even though I think I followed all of the instructions for external hdd support. I was going to buy a new iMac and have the genius set it up, but now I think I am going to upgrade the RAM myself and am deciding wether or not I should also replace the internal hdd to 2TB or just get an external hdd so when I get a new iMac, maybe next year, I could still use it. However, I don't want to get another, larger external hdd if I'm going to have a hard time transferring all of my media to iTunes. Can I pay to have an apple genius do this at the store? I just upgraded the operating system to Snow Leopard and am waiting to upgrade RAM before moving to Mountain Lion. I just want my iTunes to sync up, at this point I will do just about anything, short of buying a new Mac. Thanks for any help.

You can keep your iTunes collection on an external drive.  You can also keep just bulky items that you may not want to see often such as movies and just keep smaller items on the internal drive.  This split option is more tricky but there are several ways to do it.
If all you have is a modest music collection, you can manage with an internal drive.  Most modern media collections with huge movies files fast outpace even larger internal hard drives and you will have to resort to an external drive.  Your computer dating from 2008 is (according to Apple's coproration standards) on its way to becoming a museum piece (hey, I still use a 10 year old computer, but Apple gave up hope for me years ago).  I would not upgrade the internal drive.   That will cost you a lot  and be tricky to take with you to your next computer. An external drive you can just plug into a new computer.
Some of the issues you are encountering are because you do not yet know how to properly manage and transfer iTunes files.  We can help you, or you can pay somebody a lot of money to do this for you on a regular basis.
Your GoFlex drive was used with Windows. Macs and Windows use different drive formats.  If you are now using Mac-only then you will need to reformat the drive (you will need to store all those files elsewhere while you are doing this).
Do not buy just one external drive.  When that drive fails (oh, and believe me, it will) your whole collection will be lost.  Some of it you may be able to download again from Apple, but Apple does not "store" your iTunes collection, it is up to you to ensure its safety.

  • Issue with upgrade the Default GAL

We have migrating from 2003 to 2010. i need to upgrade the global
address list of 2003 so that it can be managed under 2010. i have tried sSet-GlobalAddressList "Default Global
Address List" -RecipientFilter {(Alias -ne $null -and (ObjectClass -eq 'user' -or Obj ectClass -eq 'contact' -or ObjectClass -eq 'msExchSystemMailbox' -or ObjectClass -eq 'msExchDynamicDistributionList'
-or ObjectClass -eq 'group' -or O bjectClass -eq 'publicFolder'))} but it fails with error. i have tried using enterprise admin access. Need help to upgrade the
    list without any user outage.

    Hi Del,
In General, the recipient filter of the default Global Address
List can be modified once during conversion from Exchange 2003 but not after that. If you want to change the default Global
Address List recipient filter after that you can temporarily modify the Global
Address List so that it isn’t the default.
    Please follow:
    1. Open the ADSI Edit. Expand each of the following items: Configuration Partition | CN=Configuration | CN=Services | CN=Microsoft Exchange | CN=<Organization Name> | CN=All Global
Address List | CN= Default Global
    Address List
    2. Right click “Default Global Address
List” and set the “msExchRecipientFilterFlags” value to 0.
    3. Run the command: Set-GlobalAddressList "Default Global Address
List" -RecipientFilter {(Alias -ne $null -and (ObjectClass -eq 'user' -or ObjectClass -eq 'contact' -or ObjectClass -eq 'msExchSystemMailbox' -or ObjectClass -eq 'msExchDynamicDistributionList' -or ObjectClass -eq 'group' -or ObjectClass
    -eq 'publicFolder'))
    4. After that, change the attribute “msExchRecipientFilterFlags” value to 3.
    Thanks,
    James
