As long as I´m in Germany I get connection between my Ipad touch and Mac. As soon as I´m abroad with my Ipad it doesn´t get connected anymore. Whats going on?

Dear all,
I bought a Ipod touch because I´m interested in video calls and would like to get conneced to my MacBook Pro at home (or better with my familiy, of course). As long as I have an wifi connection in Germany everything works perfect.. No problem at all. But whether from France, UK or USA I get a connection. From both end the call can be recognized (ringing) but it finally doesn´t get to the connection....
What can I do to solve this issue?

I should also point out that when I connect my iPhone, it DOESN'T appear as a connected drive on the desktop. Not sure how this can be so, since the iPhone also has a drive and also functions as an iPod if I want it to. I must have changed some setting to achieve this non-appearance, but don't remember what I must have done.
What's the secret?

How much is the charge ? Have you added or changed your credit card details on your iTunes account ? If you have then each time that you do so a small temporary store holding charge may be applied to check that the card details are correct and valid and that it's registered to exactly the same name and address as on your iTunes account - it should disappear off your account within a few days or so.

When you connect your iTouch to iTunes, open the device by clicking on the iTough button on the left of the screen (do this after you've backed it up). Then when open, you can go into apps, music, photos, etc and check or uncheck whatever you want on your iTough. The same applies to your iPad. After backup, you open the device and check what you want on the iPad.

There is a limit on the number of photos that you can send in one email from the photos app, but I thought it was five. In any event, you know that you can send mutiple photos from the mail app itself and you can send more than 5.
When you are typing an email - Tap and hold down in the body of the message area and select "Insert Photo or Video" from the black pop up options bar. Select the photos that you want to include from the photos app window that appears. Then hit return on the keyboard and start the process all over again.
You can insert photos, type text, enter more photos .... any way that you would like to do it.

I have an ipod touch 4th gen. and since the last update the lock button no longer works, this has caused it to have a lot of problems now like freezing all the time, kicking me out of almost all my apps, some times even when if locks on its own its not locked and buttons with be pushed in my pocket, and this causes the battiery to die fast. Place the iPod in Recovery Mode and restore via iTunes. Unless you have an iCloud backup you will have to restore to factory settings/new iPod.

I would recommend you to have free Apple apps such as Airport Utility, Find my Friends etc. Jetpack Joyride is a free game which has really hit the app store. Other then these I recommend Google Translate, Downloads, iDownloader and some other utilities like these. I put my 27" imac to sleep and it does for about 5-7 seconds and the screen is awake again. I have tried shutting down every application and still does the same, can anyone help? Is to complicated to carry the unit to my nearest apple store, but I'll do it if there is no other choice.

Welcome to the Apple Community.
Changing the library the Apple TV is synced with will delete all synced content from the Apple TV, but it won't delete purchased content.
You should be able to change the library, resync any content you want and transfer your purchases back to the new library.

You can use the SearchReset extension to reset some preferences to the default values.

nokia customer service told me they no longer deal with CPW last weekand i could no longer get waranty repairs done by them and the nokia site no longer lists CPW as care points
but i am seeing posts on nokia users saying that nokia will be relisting the CPW
by the end of the week and that CPW are still carepoints for nokia

CPW were caught red-handed by Nokia breaching agreements for exclusive sales of handsets. Also, there were so many complaints about CPW's inability to do even the most basic repairs without messing something up. I wouldn't be at all asurprised to see that they were gone from Nokia's Care network for good, and not a minute too soon.

Can no longer get into BIOS, always goes to system diagnostics

After changing some settings in BIOS the system won't boot anymore.
But the real problem is that I can not get into the BIOS anymore. When started the system goes straight to System Diagnostics.
When I continue I get the message:
BootDevice Not Found
Please install an operating system on your hard disk.
Hard Disk - (3F0)
When I go to the startup menu and try to enter Boot Device Options(F9) or Bios Setup(F10) it still takes me to System Diagnostics.
The system passes all system diagnostic tests.
I don't understand why I can't get into the BIOS anymore, this should always be possible right? How can I fix this?
Any help is greatly appreciated.

got your message about making sure to use the machine specific disk that came with my machine. Unfortunately, Apple no longer sells Tiger replacement disks. I've got a couple of bids out on ebay, and will update when I have news to add to this post.

To be clear you called the 800 number and explained what the situation was, old machine and lost the original DVD's?
Just checking because if you just called and tried to buy the DVD's they might tell you they no longer sell them but you aren't really trying to buy them your trying to replace the ones that are missing.
Ebay may work but there is a certain specificity to the DVD's required which, even if they seem right, might not work.
Good luck either way. If you get a chance when you get the DVD's I'd be interested in hearing how it all works out.
