Itunes and Safari , will no longer connect to the internet, I can still get updates for some of my subscriptions, the apple store will not open, Safari will not open any websites, my friend and myself are from usa, we are both in China at differnt locations, he is running XP and I running Vista

Try resetting Winsock, it looks like it worked for quite a few people in this thread -> With iTunes 10.4 I can access iTunes store.

I have windows 7 and I have been trying to install the newest update for itunes and quicktime but I keep receiving the same Bonjour error. I even tried to do it manually and no luck. Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on 25 June 2010. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. (The results from mydigitallife and Major Geeks are worth checking.)
After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any Bonjour entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp. Restart the PC, and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time? -
When requested I tried to down load the latest update for itunes and now I cant open itunes as it says Ive lost the MSVCR80.dll file and I don't know how to repair it.

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I use my ipods for audiobooks ALL THE TIME and it would kill me it that stopped working.
I have my own way of doing audiobooks, which works well for me, but many ways should work.
How are you downloading your audiobooks from iTunes, Audible.com, your public library, ripping from CDs...?

I haven't done one of those for a while. But the following troubleshooting document might still be worth a shot:
'Disk cannot be read from or written to' when syncing iPod or 'Firmware update failure' error when updating or restoring iPod -
Keep trying to install update for itunes and keep getting 'invalid signature'
keep trying to install the new updates for itunes and keep getting 'invalid signature' and it won't download
That suggests that the installer is getting damaged during the download.
I'd first try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:

If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer? -

I accepted a recent update for iTunes and now my version of Spin Doctor can't communicate with iTunes, specifically, I can't get music files to go over to iTunes. Spin Doctor gives me a message indicating that iTunes isn't working properly.
I am using iTunes 9.1.1(12) and Spin Doctor 3.1.1.304t. I have investigated upgrading the Spin Doctor but I think too much time has passed and the version available are too far advanced.
Any ideas? Can I undo the iTunes upgrade? Is there a website that I can go to to get the upgrade for my Spin Doctor?

Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.

Hi, I just started using materialized view and found in trouble. In my case the query rewriting works only if the tables joined in the query are exactly the same of those joined in the MV. Is this normal? Using EXPLAIN_MVIEW I found that when rewriti
