AS per New Section 206AA for TDS
HI All,
Just wondering how we are mapping the new requirement for TDS for the new Sec 206AA

here the new section states that if the vendor doesnt have PAN Number TDS should be deducted to 20%
How can we map this?

I have also faced this in different sections, I got it done through creating a new tax code and map it to vendor master.
This will require manual monitoring.......
There is no automated solution provided...

There is no alternative to capture Business Place & Section Code. Reverse the posted transaction and re-enter the transaction.
Otherwise with abapers help create validation for these two fields.

hi i got a new airport express for christmas and i set it up as per instructions ,i even give a static ip and wpa2 security ..the problem is is when i come to want to use it it says its not on my network and a orange triangle shows .when i reboot it works..then if i leave it a while and try iy agian its disapeared of my network...i have a bt hub 3 ....any help please ..im not sure if itsa faulty express
I really don't have an answer for that one. I guess that while trying to get things working correctly, I would use the most basic monitor I had which in your case would be the Eizon using the Thunderbolt port and adaptor.
When you boot into Safe Mode the startup is quite slow, but you should get the Apple logo and then the spinning gear below it (release the SHIFT key when it appears.) Then after a little more time you should see a gray progress bar appear below the spinning gear. When that disappears the computer will startup to a login screen. -
Table for TDS sections and its description

Is there any table where both TDS section and its description is getting stored? If this is possible can we relate the same to Vendor through any link?

J_1ITDSSEC is the table for TDS section and description.
TDS sections will be assigned to tax codes, so you can link through tax codes whatever is assigned to a vendor.
Relation will be -- Vendor-- Taxcode--tDS section.

Hi,
I am getting error like "No data selected for printing" for TDS section 195. But it is working for rest other TDS sections. In my case system date, posting date, certificate data are all same. Both internal and external challan numbers are updated (i checked this using J1INMIS). I am using a tax code with postin indicator "3" as we have to treat TDS amount as expense @ our side.
No idea what could be the issue here. Tried all the options. Anybody has any clue on this?

Have you checked if the documents for this section 195 have their section codes updated?
If there is no section code present, certificate printing would be a problem.
Please use posting INDICATOR 2. THis provides the grossing up functionality for foreign vendors.
The business need to use this indicatior for foreign vendors is
because in case of foreign vendors the tax is deducted and also borne
as cost by the deductor. This is not passed on to the foreign vendor.
Also,if this doesnt help, check your conigurations once again.
You can ask your abaper to debug the program and check which condition is not satisfying.

New Page numbers for Sections in Pages 5.2
Hi, I can't figure out to how to start numbering pages from 1 in a new section using Pages 5.2.
I've tried to add new sections via both the Inspector and Insert > Add Section Break, but when I attempt to insert page numbers in the header of a new section, it's still not starting at 1.See what I mean? I've successfully created the new section, but it still wants number the first page of a section with 2.

In ibooks author how to make an existing page start a new section
I have imported a Pages document into ibook authors (version 2.1.1 in OS 10.9.1) using the Classic Text Template. The original Pages document was basically a book, with title and table of contents and forward and several sections. Now everything is one huge unit. During the import I can choose a layout, but only a chapter or a section. Then all of the document is regarded as having that layout -- every page is regarded as having the section layout, for example, though only the first page has the smaller text area and the large text as a header. I can see all the layout possibilities in the Layouts sidebar, and they include section and forward and 1 column. When I hover the cursor over a particular page the book sidebar I see the little triangle that has been mentioned, and it offers options for changing layout, but it does not allow me to make that page a new section or a forward. I can only make the page 2 column or put a sidebar on it. I cannot see how I can import the book and be able to create chapters and sections with ibooks author. I can insert a new section layout, or a new page, but I do not see how to to change a page, after it is imported and is considered to be the text of a chapter or section, into the start of a new chapter or section. I do not find anything in the inspector or on the menubar or in the help center that makes this change. The "add a chapter title" does not change the layout to make the text box smaller, as it should for a layout. Is it actually possible to convert a Pages book into an ibook authors book, or must I create the blank chapters and sections in ibook authors and then cut and paste each section from Pages?
The advice given for iBA, is to preplan your book. Modify an exsiting template as your layout suits you, to present a quality book to your readers.
iBooks Author is really more "app" than a book maker like inDesign or even Pages, - and users should really get to know how to use it before starting out on a serious project.
The insert options are clear - you can insert a Chapter from MS Word or Pages in iBA a "chapter" is a distinct "standalone" part of a book which can include sections and pages as required. Sections can be moved up or down within their chapter or can be copied from one chapter to another. The pages in any chapter are static and the only way to change content location is copy and paste.
From your post, its seems you decided to create you book using Pages and in one chapter expecting iBA to reformat it.
I would suggest a solution is to count your chapters and add that number into an iBA new book, then copy your Pages chapters. I would guess that the whole process would take less than 30 minutes.
Apple recieves feedback and suggestions for improvements, however the last update made very few changes to the application and none of those seen in many posts - such as being able to move pages. This indicates that Apple at least, are satisfied that the version is functional enough for how Apple see books being made for its store. 12 months ago this forum was taking hundreds of posts per day asking advice, its now a trickle- which I take to be in indicator that as a group, iBA users have taught themselves how to use the application and its many options and third party add on's. iBA is more suited to the interactive side of publications as Apple intended, creating a mainly text only "novel" seems to be considered by Apple as the easy part! -

In the functional specifications, you need to tell which Tables and Fields should be picked up for displaying the data. Specifically for TDS some of the common tables are WITH_ITEM
Also look at J1IENMIS. Much of teh information you require is there in the new TDS Report for India, though not exactly in the same order

I am facing an issue while posting the vendor invoice. When posting the vendor invoice, system is automatically creating a debit entry to TDS account for Ecess, whereas the other Line items for TDS are created correctly. We have maintained the posting keys, and the account assignment is also there for both debit and credit parts. The tax code and tax types are correctly assigned to the vendor master and the rates maintained are also correct. The system is giving this error for the particular tax code for INV and PAY for one particular section, say Sec 194H

In CIN, surcharges like Education Cess are automatically shown separately from the basic taxes and are over and above the basic withholding tax, why because this is mandatory as per IT Act. For that to function, please check IMG>Tax deducted at Source>EWT>Calculation of Surcharges, to see whether you have maintained settings for separate line item.

Can Meal per Diem by time for trip (not by hours) be configured in SAP Travel management.

Define Per Diems for Meals/Time
In Travel Accounting you can do accounting of meals per diems for exact times.
The meals per diems/time are distinguished using the following control parameters:
trip country
trip region
enterprise-specific trip type
These three control parameters are active during accounting.
For every possible combination of the allowed entry values of the control parameters defined by you in the section Control parameters for trip costs, a meals per diem/time must be defined.
statutory trip type
trip activity type
statutory reimbursement group for meals/accommodations
enterprise-specific reimbursement group for meals/accommodations
For each trip provision variant, you can determine how these control parameters influence the determination of reimbursement rates for meals per diems.
If these control parameters are active, you have to define a meals per diem for each combination of all active control parameters.

The meals per diems/time can be scaled according to the total number of trip days. The valuation of the trip duration is carried out according to time, the entries are to be made correspondingly.
For first/last trip day the following is required:
number of days 1: time interval in which the meals per diem is reimbursed.
Example:
08.00 - 09.00 75.20 ATS
If a trip starts before 8.00 a.m. and ends after 09.00 a.m., a meals per diem of 75.20 ATS is reimbursed.
For entire trip days you require:
number of days 99: complete time interval from 00.00 hours to 24.00 hours.
For entire trip days with stopovers you require:
number of days 98: Point in time up to which per-diem amount is reimbursed.
In general, an interval of <Zone
minute is enough.
Example:
08.00 - 08.01 100.00 ATS for destination France
For a stay in France from 00.00 hours to 08.30 hours, a meals per diem /time of 100.00 ATS is reimbursed.
For a stay in Germany from 8:31 hours to 24.00 hours, you access the corresponding meals per diem/time for Germany.
Validity interval in minutes
The meals per diem/time are defined for a specific time in the system via the control parameters, a validity interval in minutes, via a validity period and the reimbursement amounts.
Note
If the reimbursement rates in a meals per diem/time are changed, you do not need to create a new meals per diem/time, but rather you can delimit the previously valid meals per diem/time in regard to time using a delimitation date. When you do this, a new identical meals per diem/time which is valid as of the entered date, is generated. For this new meals per diem/time, you need then only change the reimbursement amounts.
Requirements
You need to have defined the control parameters which you intend to use for modifying the meals per diem/time in the section Control parameters for trip costs.
Recommendation
SAP recommends that you set the end date of the validity period of a meals per diem/time to the date 31.12.9999, since the end date cannot be changed at a later stage.
In this way no restrictions are placed on delimiting.
Activities
To define a meals per diem/time, proceed as follows:
1. Choose the trip provision variant you require.
2. Assign control parameters according to your requirements.
Note that you cannot change the control parameters at a later date.
3. In the field Time from, enter the time that you wish to define as the start of the exact (to-the-minute) validity interval.
4. In the field Time to, enter the time which you wish to define as the end of the exact (to the-minute) validity interval.
5. Define a validity period via the fields Start and End.
Note that you cannot change the end date at a later stage.
6. In the field Currency, assign the required currency for the reimbursement amounts.
7. Enter the tax-free reimbursement amount in the field Tax-free amount.
8. Enter the enterprise-specific reimbursement amount in the field reimbursement amount.
9. Enter the reimbursement amount which you charge a customer in the field Amount for customers.
Note
At present, this amount is not evaluated by the standard programs.
To delimit a meals per diem/time, proceed as follows:
1. Select the required meals per diem/time in the overview screen.
2. Choose Goto -> Detail.
You are now in the detail screen.
3. Choose Edit -> Delimit validity.
4. Enter the new validity date in the field Valid from.
5. Press the function key Continue.
6. Check the tax-free reimbursement amount in the field Tax-free amount and change it if necessary.
7. Change the enterprise-specific reimbursement amount in the field Reimbursement amount if necessary.
8. If necessary, change the reimbursement amount in the field Amount for customers.

At present, this amount is not evaluated by the standard programs. -
To reset page number after each new section in DeskI
I have a master/detail report where the master is "Customer name". I have a requirement to reset the page number at each new Customer name.
i.e. If "Customer A" spans to 3 pages and "Customer B" spans 2 pages. Then for Customer A the page number should be Page 1 of 3, Page 2 of 3, Page 3 of 3. Then Customer B should have page number as Page 1 of 2,Page 2 of 2.
1. The Page number can be obtained using PageInSection but only if I display it inside the section body and select "Repeat on every page" . But I need to display it in Page footer.
2. I am unable to get the total No.of Pages per section unless I do some calculation using the no of rows per Customer. Is there any other way of getting this detail?

The "PageInSection" function resets the page number to 1 at the start of each new section in the specified section level.
For Example:
you have a report with two section levels, Country and Quarter.
You set every value of Country to start on a new page and enter the following syntax in a cell placed WITHIN THE SECTION THAT NEEDS THE RESETTING OF THE PAGE (it cannot be placed in the header or footer, as it can then not refer to the relevant section. It will give the value 0 instead), to restart page numbering to 1 for each value of Country:
=PageInSection(1)
where (1) is Country which is section 1 in the report.
If there are any following sections these can also be reset via this formula with the use of the relevant section number.
This option can be used effectively when you set each value of a section to start on a new page. To do this, check the Start on a new page option in the Section Format dialog box.
Do remember that the result will only be seen in the report, when the option View/Page layout has been set, otherwise the result will be seen as a 0 at each section (this however does get correctly displayed in the Print Preview, and when printing without the page layout option set).
I hope that these information help you to understand the functionality of the PageInSection function.

At the time of initial installation SAP would make EUR as base currency, so any new company code you create needs to have an exchange rate defined to the base currency EUR.
In your case you can define exchange rate to EUR and process PO, as per my knowledge there will not be any impact of this.

Procedure Followed is :_
1. Created a VO using a select Query on custom table.
2. Created an AM and attached the above created VO to this.
3. A custom OAF page is created and above created AM is attached to the main region.
4. created an Advanced Table in the region and all the columns in table are mapped to their respective ones in the VO query.
5. Tried both the cases - Generate VOImpl and Generate VORowImpl.
6. In the controller class , Page Request Object for AM is created and trying to invoke method in AM.
7. In AM a method is written for creating an object for VO and executeQuery() operation is done.
As per the Solution given in the other threads.... included also WHO columns in the VO Query.
Please provide us the solution as soon as possible.

Issue in assigning new Planning Calendar for MRP.
Hello Experts
I have trouble in setting up new Planning calendar for S&OP and MRP process. Let me explain in details
Requirement is, currently I am using standard country specific Factory calendar format (monthly period) per plant. But new requirement has came up and Company wants to change beginning and end of period (monthly) -- as shown below
Current Calendar
1 July to 31 July = period 1 - 2014
1 Aug to 31 Aug = Period 2 - 2014
and so on..
New requirement is ( Last week of Friday is end of Period)
Sat 28 June to Fri 25 July = Period 1 - 2014
Sat 26 July to Fri 29 Aug = Period 2 - 2014
Sat 30 Aug to Fri 3 Oct = Period 3 - 2014
and so on..
(basic concept is to keep
4wk, 5wk, 5wk for Quarter 1
4wk, 4wk, 5wk for Quarter 2. and so on.. )
I have setup new planning calendar in MD25..
ie. min period, start of period not a working day, Calculation rule & Period etc...
then assigned new planning calendar in MM02 - MRP2 and also in MRP1 used Lot size PK... etc..
But when i Put demand in MC88.. which gives us std month format and transfer to DM, then Ran MRP but some how MRP is not creating correct Qty in planned demand as per new calender..
i.e.. 1 July to 31 July = period 1 - 2014 if total demand Qty for Material XYZ is : 50
I am expecting planned demand result in MRP as... Sat 28 June to Fri 25 July = Period 1 - 2014 - should be 50 in total.. but It's not..
Any reason? Or I am missing some settings?

Business wants planning calendar in this format. And Fiscal Year Variant has also been set according to new calendar.
KK, Regarding MC88 there is no option to incorporate planning calendar into S&OP process. And Organisation's S&OP process is set from day one (Planning by ProdGrp/Material) so MD61 would not be a good option to use.
Umesh, regarding "start of period not a working day", I have selected "do not displace". And 27/09 and 27/12 dates are set holiday. The major issue here is: Not every 4th Sat of month is Period start day, MRP is picking new planning calendar (defined in above table) from the system But some how when transferring forecast data from planning table to demand management (MC88), system don't recognize new planning calendar and it distributes demand over weekly bucket per regular month Calendar instead of new planning calendar..
Some how I need to incorporate new planning calendar into S&OP setup somewhere, Any thoughts?
