AS03 search display

Hi,
We are upgrading from 4.6C to ECC 5.0.
In ECC5.0, in AS03 when i press F4 in asset filed, the search screen does not display the tab Asset via company,serial number. How to enable to this tab.

SharePoint 2013 - What are all requirement components for People Pickers to list, search, display, and assign users permission

Hi All
the past few months, I have been working with permission issues related to SharePoint 2013 site permission settings using People Pickers to list, search, display users to assign or check permission.
Our environment include multiple domains and few forests. Our SharePoint farm is installed on one domain but the good thing is our AD structure are configured to have all other domains and forests with 2 ways trusts with this domain so domain
users are authenticated and can access SharePoint just fine. Also SharePoint use default claim authentication.
The problem is People Picker is not display all domains user accounts when site owners need to assign permission. So to resolve the problem, I had provisioned
SA - User profile service and Import AD domain user accounts (one way) into Sharepoint.
I configured stsadm.exe -o setproperty -pn peoplepicker-searchadforests -pv
for all domains and forests (eventhough, as mentioned we do have 2 ways trust)
and sometime tried different query (user last name, domain\logonname, email address) if one is not showing.
With all that added, People Pickers seem to find and display user account for all domains now.
My question now is do UPS and all AD domains users need to be imported into SharePoint and STSadm configuration are required in order to have all domains user accounts to display in People Pickers so the site owners can
find them and assign permission when needed?
Please share your advices, comments as they are really valuable to me.

UPS and people pickers are virtually unrelated. The only connection between them is to do with caching and updating user names and emails if they change over time, or in other words not relevant to your situation.
To answer your question directly; Nope, you do not need to set up synchronisation connections to a domain to be able to pick up a person in a people picker. As you've seen you may need to run some STSADM commands to make sure they are checking the right
places.

Adding extra fields to the Product search display

Hi all,
I have a requirement where the std Product search needs to be modified wherein i need to add a price field for some materials whcih i will maintain in a Z table(custom table for the materials and its price).
Now my problem is that the o/p structure is taking the fields from the view BBPV_F4PR_GEN (where i dont have nay price field!)...When i pass my structure to the Dispaly FM "F4UT_RESULTS_MAP" it doesnt consider my custom structure for display....
is it possible to change the o/p structure for the Product search display???Has anybody tried thsi before???

AFAIK, the only way to do this is to write a system modifcation.
The BADI is executed only once at startup of the session, so that makes it merely static. (A strange point in time, I discussed it with SAP and they just shook their heads)
I had the same problem with some other F4-Helps and it was a big hazzle. From my experience, no straight answer.

HT201285 What order does spotlight search display??

I know that this search displays the results by app. But within the app how are the results displayed? For example, if I typed in ok, and all my text messages that have the word ok in them pop up what order are those in if any?
Also, does anybody konw exactly how long deleted messages will appear in the spotlight search? Or how far back the search goes?

I can't be certain but they appear to be in reverse chronological order.
Old messages will appear unti lthe cache gets written over (or is deleted by restoring the phone as new).

SharePoint 2013 Search Display Template People Search Mobile Phone

I'd like to customize the people search result page. I already added some custom profile properties without any problem. But, when adding the MobilePhone field nothing is display.
I've created a new display template based on the "Item_Person.html" file.
Added the "MobilePhone" field in the ManagedPropertyMapping section

Query region (search) displaying error

You need to look into your code to figure out what is getting executed the next time you are running the query? I would recommend picking the query and the bind parameter from the Jdev log and testing it out in TOAD/SQL Developer.

Additional search & display fields rqd for opportunities in IC Winclient

The search and display fields are for the opportunities search in the Interaction History.
As SAP standard we have,but need to add few more for my client.
Please can anyone suggest me is there any standard config to do it or we need to develop to populate the additional fields.

What is the transaction to look at this query? I have not seen any evidence that the program accesses this query, but it is worth having a look I guess.
The sequence of Function calls are:
CCMCS_BP_SEARCH_RULES
CCMCS_BP_SEARCH_CONTROL
CCMCS_BP_ADDR_SEARCH2
CCMCS_BP_SEARCH2
(Up to this point it uses structure CCMADDRESSFIELDS, and has accesss to HOUSE_NUM2)
Then it calls BAPI_BUPA_MAIN
It might be that I will have to repair CCMCS_BP_SEARCH2 in the end, but I'd like to be sure that it is my only option, as I do not want to change SAP standard code unnecessarily.

Search displays in a new tab

when I perform a search with bing, the results are displayed in a new tab. I don't want a new tab or window to display the results. This just started happening tonight. My first initial searches for a cause said it was a setting in bing. I wasn't able to find where this setting is. But I don't have the same issue in internet explorer, which leads me to believe its a setting somewhere in firefox. I checked the about:config, the search option is set to false (Pref name = browser.search.openintab)

Okay, I don't know what's going on. Bing and Firefox seem to be playing well today. I've tried several searches and everything is back to normal. Not opening a new tab for searches.
I hope this isn't a sign of some kind of virus. Just seems a really strange type of thing to happen out of the blue.

Verity search display results

I have been able to get my collection indexed and get a
resulting page from a search. The page displays the Title of the
page and the link to the page. I would like it to display more like
a Google results page; with a description. Can I pull the Meta-Tag
Description and then have it display in the results page?

Php site search displays no results

There are 2 pages, the search page with text box and submit button, and the results page. When clicking on the submit button, it takes you to the search result page but no data is displayed :< My database is connected and everything, also when adding the recordset the 'test' works and displays the results.
If some1 could help would be great.

I want to display the system status column in the activity search results list in the WEB UI in crm 2007. This will help the users to see the activities in a particular system status when they display the activities in the results list.

Sale Quotation Formatted Search displays correctly but does not update OQUT

I have a formatted search, intended to show a deposit amount of 50% for the document total, and refresh whenever the doc total changes. It displays correctly on the Quote header screen UDF area, but OQUT does not update. Pressing Shift-F2 returns 'internal error'. The first time the Quote is entered the right value gets in OQUT, but never gets updated after that.
The UDF is OQUT.U_Deposit. The formatted search query is:
Select ($[$33.88.number]*.05) and it is set to refresh reglaurly when Document Total changes.

The screen variable for

Also I notice for 50% you have used .05 which is actually 5%
Try this query

The minus is needed since it is a UDF on the header which is a seperate window.

ITunes search displays results but isn't clickable?

When I click on the search bar to search through my library, it displays a drop down of results, but they aren't clickable. I used to be able to click on results (for example an artist or album) and it would take me straight to that result in my library. One day it just stopped working and I'm not sure why.
If I uncheck the "search entire library" option, it filters my results on the left bar, but doesn't display the results in a drop down anymore, which I liked. If I'm in the "playlists" pane and search for an artist that's not on my current playlist, it just hides all the songs in my current playlist.
I am using iTunes 11.1.2.32 on Windows 7, but this issue has been persistent through the past couple updates of iTunes (not entirely sure when it started, but definitely in iTunes 11)

The behavior of the search dropdown has changed (can't recall whether it was iTunes 11 or 12), but the functionality you refer to is still available ... sort of. With the Search Entire Library function enabled, when you enter a search string it'll show the matching results:
In this case I searched for "hotten" and got four matching songs. Clicking on the highlighted bar will show all the matching results in the current view prior to the search - so in this case if I started from Albums view it'll show the three albums that include matches:
If I start from Songs view (or switch to Songs from the filtered view above) I get:
Other functions are available by hovering over (not clicking) on the songs shown in the dropdown. When you do this a "+" appears to the left of the song and an ellipsis ("...") to the right. Then, clicking on the "+" adds the song to the Up Next list. Clicking on the ellipsis opens a submenu with other options:
However, as you rightly point out, this functionality is not available when the Search Entire Library option is disabled. The bizarre thing here is that when you are viewing a playlist and have Search Entire Library option enabled you get mixed results - the dropdown shows all the matches in your library (whether in the playlist or not), but the top line of the dropdown now says "Show <search name> in <playlist>" and will take you just the matches in the current playlist ... mightily confusing .
Right now this is probably classified as a "feature", i.e., the omission of the extra options when Search Entire Library option is not selected may be intentional on Apple's part (though who knows why that should be) or could equally well be the result of a bug. May be worth reporting this at https://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html.
BTW, atra1n's suggested solution looks highly dubious. First. hacking at the registry rarely has the desired effects (or produces unforeseen side effects). Secondly, the registry keys under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Apple Computer, Inc.\iTunes are related to (or appear to be related to) Outlook integration, Parental Controls, and automatic iDevice syncing - nothing related to search functions.

WebHelp Search Displays Selected Topics Without Acknowledging LF

I have a text document using UNIX style line breaks that I run through a parser to create multiple help topics.
These topics display normally (see attached image) when called directly, rather than through WebHelp and when selected from the Contents or Index tabs.
However ,when selected through the search tabs, the LF character seems to be ignored.
Has anyone else seen this? This feels like a bug.

RoboHelp 10.0.0.287. Sorry, that would have been useful to mention.
I also wanted to add that it seems like the <pre> tag is being ignored.
in our usage it is <PRE><SPAN> some text
some text
some text
</SPAN></PRE>
That should be preserved in the display, but for some reason isn't being preserved.
