AS2 premises for using XI

Hi,
after doing a workshop with Seeburger (AS2, EDI) a client of ours wants to get rid of his VAN solution for sending EDIFACT. Therefore he would like to use the AS2 Adapter of Seeburger and also the BIConverter.
But the Network of our client is that huge that it seems to be nearly unmanageable to have an open connection from XI to the internet.
Does somebody have some experience in how to let XI connect to the internet permanently?! Consider also that the client has some firewalls, proxy and is a little firghtend of opening the system for the internet

Depending from the direction of your connection, you can go via "HTTP Proxy" specifing it directly in the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/43/64dbb0af9f30b4e10000000a11466f/frameset.htm">Adapter</a> for connections form SAP XI to the partner, and the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/42/5cfd3b0e59774ee10000000a114084/frameset.htm">SAP Web Dispatcher</a> for connections from the partners to SAP XI.

How to set the AS2 fileName for outbound Functional Ack 997 auto generated by Oracle B2B.
External Trading Partner is sending the EDI 856 via AS2 URL to our Oracle B2B Server.
In the inbound 856 agreement, we have checked the option of Funtional Ack and also Functiona Ack handled by B2B is yes.
We have the outbound agreement which is sending that Functional ack 997 (auto generated by oracle b2b) and we have specified the Outbound AS2 channel of the Partner.
997 doc is being sent to external partner using AS2 channel, but the filename is generating as '40101'.
Please can you let me know how to set the AS2 fileName for outbound Functional Ack 997 auto generated by Oracle B2B.

AFAIK, there is no option to set the file name when the 997 is generated automatically by B2B.
Alternatively, if this is a must requirement, you can generate the FA from backend and send to B2B with MSG_TYPE =9. In this case, you can set the header with filename (How to set the actionname property in B2B 11g)

AS2 adapter for PI 7.1

Hi ALL,
we are planing to use as2 adapter for PI 7.1 from a company called advantco .
i have downloaded and got the adapter in the ESR and IB , not i need documentation for configuring the sender and receiver communication channel.
if there is any documentation for cofiguring channels using as2 adapter both in the sender and reciver side pls send ..?

Seebuger AS2 adapter for XI as sender for multiple messages

Hi all,
Has anyone managed to configure the Seeburger AS2 adapter for XI successfully to process multiple inbound message types.
We have an issue here with inbound messages being received by the AS2 adapter. We currently have it configured for inbound deliveries which is working fine. The issue is that we would now like to send other messages as well. It seems the AS2 adapter only looks at the sender/receiver party combination to determine the correct sender agreement, but does not look at the message type which is a limitation. I have heard mention of a splitter module which can be used to distinguish between different messages and pass them to the correct sender agreement for processing, information on this is thin on the ground to non existent. What is the name of the module? Is it specified in your sender AS2 adapter with parameters? Is it wrapped as an adapter? How do you configure the module to split and pass specific messages etc... Any help on this would be much appreciated.

Hi Rudy,
the Classifier/BIC/Splitter - Solution is mainly designed for EDI-Messages that cannot be handled directly by XI.
IF you use pure XML-messages you should be able to handle it with XI-basic-functionality since this is what XI can handle itself.
Depending on how different your XML-Messages are, the effort will be very small or a little bit bigger.
In the ReceiverDetermination it should be possible for you to check whether certain XML-TAGs are existing or what the content for certain TAGs is BAsed on this information you can route the messages in a correct way.
(Of course you might have to create your own XSD for this containing the important TAGs of each message, so you can setup your Conditions)
Btw. the Seeburger BIC-Adapter can provide also this functionality, but this also needs to be customized)

AS2 ID for the involved parties while configuring Receiver AS2 channel

I am testing AS2 receiver channel by by having a file sender channel to pick up the EDI file and send it to the receiver which is AS2. I configured all the necessary things like the sender agreement, receiver agreemet, certificates for receiver agreement. also configured MDN report channel and i am using the following in my AS2 channel
server name: XXXXX
Port: 50000
url: /SeeburgerAS2/AS2Server
under AS2
Sign is enabled
algorithm type : SHA-1
encryption is enabled
MDN mode: Synchronous
Handle received MDN: No action.
but i am getting the folllowing error
Message processing failed. Cause: javax.resource.ResourceException: Fatal exception: javax.resource.ResourceException: SEEBURGER AS2: 403 Forbidden # , SEEBURGER AS2: 403 Forbidden #
I have configured the parties for the 2 systems that i am connecting in both the systems and i am using them in either systems for AS2ID. still i am getting the above error.

mostly this error can come for following reasons
incorrect AS2 ID for involved parties,valid sender agreement is missing or can be possible that more then one AS2 sender agreements with the same sende and rec party has been created.
Try to check all these

Is it possible to set up BizTalk server 2013 on premise behind a firewall with an AS2 endpoint, and use Azure bus relay to externally expose the (internal) AS2 endpoint to the cloud. This way we don’t have to create a DMZ or open anything on our firewall,
and use Azure bus relay technology to expose our internal endpoint.

If the aim is to expose an AS2 endpoint without opening the firewall, this should be possible using a combination of BizTalk Services and Azure Service Bus.
Using BizTalk Services you can host / expose an AS2 endpoint in the cloud, and this can connect to an Azure relay that will push the messages to your internal server via WCF. It's not ideal as all your party management will need to be done in
the cloud, however will give you an external AS2 endpoint talking to your internal servers without having to open the firewall.

IP Ranges for use with On-Premeses Azure Mult-Factor Auth

Anyone know where MS publishes an up to date list of IP ranges of POPs for use with on-premises Azure Muti-factor Auth? I'm seeing some issues and firewall logs show connections are going to IPs not currently in the last list of IP ranges we received from
MS (late last year).

The 204.13.12x.xx addresses above are no longer used. Also, the list above is missing
134.170.116.72/29.
For those using event confirmation features or doing mobile app authentications with devices that are on the corporate network, the ranges need to be a little wider:

Creating another AS2 agreement for another customer gives me an error on my companies party.

I had created an AS2 agreement for company A to communicate with company B (my company).
It's all working fine now after some issues.
I am now creating another AS2 agreement for company C to also communicate with company B (my company).
Gives me a identity already in use (company B - My company), what gives?

How can I copy mp3 files from my Itunes library to an SD card for use in a non-apple phone? I can physically copy the tunes as mp3's but the phone does not seem to be able to play all of them. Do I need to copy an entire album or can I just pick & choose individual songs? The phone is question is an LG running who knows what for an operating system.

AAC is Advanced Audio Coding. Basically it's a format that sounds better than MP3 but doesn't take up as much space as a lossless format (like you'd have on a CD). More than likely you've had that encoding turned on when you ripped your music into itunes (it's the default encoder). Therefore your LG phone won't play them.
You need to turn off the AAC format by going to the iTunes menu, Preferences, General (at the top), then clicking the "Import Preferences" button. Change the AAC Encoder to MP3 Encoder. After that you'll have to make MP3 copies of your songs by right clicking them and selecting "Create MP3 Version." You'll get a copy of the song that should transfer to your SD card and have MP3 encoding. Hopefully your phone will play that.

I'm trying to take a 16 minute mini dv video and compress it for use on the web. I'm interested in any suggestions you may have on settings for the video and audio tracks. I've tried using Sorenson 3 (15 frames, key frames set to automatic, 320 x 240) for video and IMA 4:1 (mono) for audio. The resulting video looked great but the file size came in at about 255 Mb.

Thank you for the replies. Everyone was correct about the jack, interface, and phasing problems. I have been unplugging my motu audio interface and then using headphones at work. I have not changed any detailed audio output settings in logic. When I read that the jack might be a problem I tried switching headphones. This actually helped. I am using dre-beats headphones and they seem to be having issues with the mac/jack-(the phasing/panning problems. I can use these headphones with other devices but not the mac. I have to use ipod ear buds and the phasing seems fixed. Hopefully this information is helpful to someone else.
If anyone knows how to correct this issue please let me know its difficult to know what my final mixes are going to sound like and I have had to keep bouncing everything into i-tunes- sync to ipod and then listen in my car radio.

I checked on the HP web site. Your aswer is on the HP website under your printer type. Update your drivers and follow the instructions given by HP and the printer will work as you have it connected.
