AS5400HPX & PGW2200 in nailed mode

Hello all,
I am facing some very strange problems related to FAX calls on some AS5400HPX used with a PGW2200 nailed mode config. Basically some destinations are simply not working for the FAX calls or, in the best case, at a very high failure rate (1 of 3-5 successfull). Into the same network there is also one AS5300 NOT configured for SS7, which does not manifest the problem! the configs are simply identical and using the same voice routing scheme (GK's).
Any ideea will be more than appreciated.

We have tried more than one IOS versions on 5400HPX and the behavior it's the same. It looks it's depening on the remote allocated GW (routing via GK) out to PSTN but I am not able to understand why the AS5300 works OK (also running 12.3 IOS).

PGW 2200 failing to import trunks file

Hello ,
Would someone help with following problem :
I have working PGW2200 in nailed mode and I try to remove one E1 line from its configuration.
Import of trunks file seems to be OK ( I get COMPLD    "files:WARNING: All existing bearer channels have been replaced with the ones in the imported file." ) , no errors are reported ,
but when I try to deploy the configuration via prov-cpy: command I got following error:

I am sure there are no calls on any CIC of the gateway. I rebooted the AS Server - doesn't help.
Do I have to stop/disable the C7 link or else when I deploy configuration with new CIC file ?

While importing data select the particular table and right click you get the Options, from that select import follow the instrucitons.

we are currently using PGW2200 in call mode that is sip call are handled by
PGW2200 & AS5400 is connected to PSTN via E1 i need to know can i directly terminate H.323 csll on gatways as PGW2200 will be connectes to PSTN using ss7 . what config need to be done,

Bearer trunks from AS5350 to PGW

Hi, I have a PGW2200 and as5350 connected to siwtch(SS7) and PBX(ISDN PRI Q.931). I have configured SS7 signaling link termination from iSLT of 5350 to PGW2200 and ISDN PRI termination in 5350. Now I have no idea how to configure remaining voice timeslots of SS7 link, and how convert between SS7 and PRI beacuse of my PGW2200 is in nailed mode.
Could anyone help?

Export the Pages document as PDF best. Open the PDF in Preview (thumb nail mode). Select the thumbnail that you want Preview to convert to jpeg. Choose File > Export To… and control your jpeg quality and destination from the export dialog box.

CAD Mobile Agent Issue

The issue I am having is that when I log into CAD as a Mobile Agent when I use Nailed Mode, I receive the initial call to my mobile device and I answer or attempt to answer the call but at 10 - 15 seconds it drops and I get logged out of CAD. If I log in Call By Call mode I can log and stay logged in fine, but when a call is routed to my mobile device the same thing happens, it rings, I answer the call or at least believe I answered the call and then it disconnects after the same 10 seconds or so. The JTAPI logs show RESOURCE_NOT_AVAILABLE and the CUCM logs show a Disconnect Code of 47. I've had a TAC case open for a while and not getting anywhere other than the UCCE team has transferred it to the CUCM team now. Has anyone else had problems setting up Mobile Agent in a UCCE 8.x and CUCM 8.x environment? I've set it up in previous versions many times without problems and the first time I am trying it on 8.x I'm having issues. Wondering if anyone else has had problems or have any ideas to check. I've checked nearly everything, codec, MTP resources, etc that I can think of.

I ended up restarting PG and CTI Manager on CUCM and it works now.

MGW error logs for Cpu utlization

Dear All
We are using Cisco AS5400 as mgw, we often found during call peak hrs thsi mgw's showing error logs for cpu utlization. I have following questions in regards to thsi error.
1. why this error logs comes?
2. where & what we need to chcek? any hardware or IOS issue?
3. main and important thing whether during such error logs there is load on MGW and due to over cpu utlization call which attempt on MGW may failed? if yesy its failed with MGW end or failed from source end as abondan? or else if MGW disconnect then what is ISDN casue code.
we are using PGW in signalling or nailed mode.
Please help me with this

On this MGW we have full E1 means 16 E1s & total calls we observed during this is around 458 to 482 active callslls.
our MGW IOS is 12.4(22) & we are not using Radius AAA.

Can you tell me i can see few logs like callid rejected. means at that time that call rejected within MGW. so such failed call failed as what Abondon or what is ISDN cause code?

PGW2200 running in Signalling Mode act as a PSTN Gateway using q.931 Protocol and the PGW2200 Call Control Mode has lot of advanced features and it is a complete Soft switch, can control PSTN and act as a SBC. Also it does the Routing management and has many more added features.

UCCE. Mobile Agent

Hi all,
I have UCCE 8 with CVP.
I have configured all necesary for mobile agent (I guess). I can loggin in nailed mode and call by call mode without problems.
When ICM selects a MA in Ready state, the call is not transfered to MA. In the status bar of CTIOS.Agent Desktop (or CAD) the Agent Status field blink between Ready and Reserved state.
If from IPPhone, I dial directly the DN of LCP where the MA is logged, the call works fine( in nailed mode the call is transfered directly ok and Call by Call the call to real agent phone is dialed).
Have you any idea?

I thought a issue with CSS/partitions too but did the next test:
I have the next scenario:
      * I have LCP (1000) and RCP (2000), with the same configuration. I use CSS in line and device. The line's CSS has the partitions of the route patterns and device's CSS has internals partitions.
      * I have a IP Phone (3000)
      * The Mobile Agent is logged in LCP (call by call mode or nailed mode).
For call by call mode: If the IPPhone(3000) dials the LCP(1000), the system dials the real agent phone and the call is established without problems.
For nailed mode: When the agent is logged, the system dials the real agent phone. When the IPPhone (3000) dials the LCP (1000) and the agent receive the call, the agent answer and the call is established with problems.
So, I guess that there are not problem with CSS/partition of LCP/RCP.
I don't know that other thing can be.
It's appreciate your help.

PGW - routed IAM looses part of the 'User Service Information' Element

I have PGW 9.3(2) with two AS5350 configured both for termination of IMTs and used as SLT (two E1 links with channel 16 used for SS7 signaling). The PGW is not in nailed mode, but in call-routing mode.
The test I made is very simple - making a call from one side (TRG1001) which is routed to the other side (TRG1004).
I capture the messeges at both sides and see that part of the service information like for example 'User rate - 9.6 kbit/s, V.6 and X.1' and many others are loosed.
Somebody have any idea about that?

Check for your configuration, and use the debug commands to check the configuration. I found a bug CSCuk38210 related to AS5350 when using SLT.

I have a solution that connect 2 pgw's with one as5400, the TDM switch that have ss7 are connected to the as5400, and they use the TS 1 for signaling, I have configured my as5400 e1 as follow:

My questions are 2:
1.- how to change the ts 1 to be used for signaling mode instead of use 16?
2.- I'm using nailed mode, so, do I have to create all trunks in my pgw? and also have to create my d channels in the pgw?

PGW & 5400 bearer configure

we had successfully configure PGW+SLT2651XM+L.Switch, L.Switch & PGW can communicate[rtrv-tc:all, shows active cic].
SLT uses drop/insert, and it is configured to supply a trunk [E1] to AS5400
We need to configure signalling bet. PGW and 5400AS box.
1-as you know there are many implemenation, so i want to know which best fit the mentioned solution
2- if i choose to use PGW in signalling mode, should AS have a PRI E1 [not CAS]
3- in case of nailed [call control] configuration in the 5400 side

It is not very clear what exactly is the solution.What you want to do is not understandable with just showing the connected devices.
And signaling mode and nailed mode are the same thing.
You can eiter configure PGW in signaling (just translate SS7 to IP signalisation) or in Call Controll mode.
Please provide more info to get an answer.

You will need PGW and 5350 for ss7 running in nailed mode. 5350 can run integrated slt that connects to ss7 network. The rest are used for bearer channels. You can run voip(either h.323 or sip) between 5350 and another 5350 gateway that is doing r2 signaling to the r2 carrier.
