Asa/asdm Wizard "Unified Communications Wizard"

When I try to start this wizard, I get an error mesage saying "You must have at least two interfaces to configure any of the Unified Communications Proxy Types".
I have one inside and one outside interface configured.
Why am I getting this error mesage?
Thanks,
Gary

"No loop was found in selected VI."
    http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/7428E72E94D50DFE86256E1600129046
Je ne sais plus ou recherché des informations..
    Donc je m'adresse à vous.
    Merci d'avance.
    A. Giard

    Bonjour,
    Cordialement.

  • Use RT Communication Wizard to build application for PDA

    Hi,
I am wondering if the RT Communication Wizard can be used to build the Host, NPL and TCL VIs for PDA touch screen pocket PC model NP 606S.
I am familiar with using RT Communication Wizard to build RT set of VIs for communication between PC and cFP-2020 field point.
Now I need to go step further and develop the similar VIs, one VI (NPL along TCL) that will run on the RT Target (my field point) and Host VI that I will compile and run from PDA (NP 606S). I am using cross-over Ethernet cable (TCP communication).
If this is possible to do, are there any special instructions (rules) to complete the process properly.
    Thanks in advance,
    Peja

I don't use the RT comm wizard, but after generating a small sample program, my answer would be yes. The RT part is only on the RT side. Programs written using the PDA module use the TCP VIs just like regular programs and I have used them to talk with a FP, so it should work. You should keep in mind that the display on PDAs is limited (no clusters, no arrays and so on). Since, according to this, the NP 606s isn't a PDA, it's possible it will be able to display them (although I doubt it).
Try to take over the world!

  • Unified Communications traversal state failed

    Hi,
I have installed two separate Virtual machines VCS-Control and VCS-Expressway (Version 8.2) on a Cisco UCS server. Both VMs are on the same subnet and connected to the LAN interface of Cisco ASA firewall (No DMZ) network. I tried to establish Unified Communications traversal zone between them as suggested in Cisco doc, MRA via Expressway Deployment-Guide-X8-2 but it is always coming up as failed. Please see my scenerio diagram as well as the config of VCS-Control and Expressway from the attached files. Any help from any one would really be appreciated.
    Regards,
    Ali

Is this a lab or a production environment?
If you use NAT on the VCS-E you need the dual interface option, even if you would
only use one interface. There are many postings around that here in the forum.
If NAT is done, all communication would need to go to the external NAT address.
So also for the VCS-C to VCS-E traversal zone, so the firewall has to allow that.
Often it is then more easy to deploy the VCS-E with two interfaces, one in the external DMZ
    and one internal interface.
If this is a production environment you should place a firewall in between VCS-C and VCS-E.
As you specified a host name, check that the dns can be resolved and that the ip flow and
configuration is ok as mentioned above.

  • Wizard vs pcm wizard?

    Hi,
I was reading portal developer guide about wizard creation and just wanted to know the difference between creation of "wizards" and "PCM wizards".. I didnt get the difference between them.
could some one please let me know an example of wizard and PCM wizard in the default portal implementation.
the wizard that we use for creation of iview based on PAR, what type of wizard is it (WIZARD OR PCM WIZARD)?
and the wizard that we use for creating iview based on iview template?  what type of wizard is it? (WIZARD OR PCM WIZARD)
    Thank you

The 2 EPM tools that inquired about are both multi-dimensional tools.  I would suggest looking for detailed information on the SDN network.  In the meantime, my explination of the differences in based mostly on the design of the products.  PCM was initially designed for use in Cost management processes, and is a multidimensional cube with predefined dimensions and the ability to add additional dimensions for building an application.  The PCM tool will take COSTs and allow them to be assigned to activitity holders, which then could be driven to other objects and eventually processes.  The design is applicable to many customer opportunities to address product profitability, channnel profits, and other designs.  It also has models that come predefined. It has the ability to use excel and has robust reporting design capabilities.
BPC is a user defined multidimensional application that is basically a database, stores dimensions, that are arraigned into user defined applications. The dimensions may be shared or independent between applications.  The applications many server many various purposes; most often for budgeting, forecasting, planning or legal consolidations.  The applications are are managed using excel, have Data Manager tools, allow you to define processes for support the application design, and are built for the user community.
This is just a simple view and an opinion, but hopefully this is a good staring point.  Hope this helps.

  • Sorting of Dunning Wizard and Payment Wizard

    Dear Development,
we have the following business situation.
    1) We create a Dunning Wizard or Payment Wizard.
    2) We make a printout of all selected business partner and documents in Step 5 of the DW or PW.
    3) The chief decides which payments should be done.
    4) We have to unslect or select the checkboxes again.
    5) The problem is now, it is quite difficult to find out the correct business partner related to the printout.
We need a filter functionality or a sorting algorithm for all columns. Thanks a lot for your help.
    Regards Chris

    Hello Chris,
Thank you for your input. It's quite clear and reasonable. Unfortunately, sorting and filtering feature is quite difficult to implement on multi-level/hierachical grids in SAP Business One; for the time being, this logic is not supported but we will consider it for one of the next major releases.
I guess ideally the 'Find' control could help better. That we can consider as well. What do you think?

    Hello Robert,
Apologies for a delayed response, some days get very hectic.
In CallManager, we only define the SRST reference, and CUCM version and SRST version are independent of each other.
The only thing, which is related and will change with CUCM upgrade is Phone F/w version.
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/compat/ccmcompmatr1.pdf
You may just want to check your, phone f/w compatibility with the SRST version running on your ISR G1 Gateways:
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps2169/products_device_support_tables_list.html
    For Example: SRST version 7.1
    http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6788/vcallcon/ps2169/data_sheet_c78-520521.html
You may want to do some lab testing with CUCM 9.1 and an SRST supported f/w on your phones.
If you decide to run the old Phone/F/w to support the SRST version, you may not be able to take advantage of new features.
Also, you can try and upgrade your phones(Wih CUCM 9.1) and test them with your SRST version.
It should work fine, but from a troubleshooting perspective, TAC may request you to come into a Cisco Supported combination.
Please, let me know if this clarifies your doubt or we can have a quick phone call.

    Derrick,
RFC 3261defines ways to provide increased security for a SIP session.
The following describes areas in SIP that provides security for the protocol
    1. Authenticating users.
We need to authenticate a user to ensure that the sender of the message is who he claims to be.
To achieve this SIP uses digest authentication between a UAC, proxy and a UAS. This provides the most basic level of authentication challenge between a client, proxy and a server.
    2. Secure SIP signalling
The next area we can secure is SIP signalling itself. For this we use SSL/TLS. This is similar to using https in web browsers. With TLS before our any signalling is exchange X.509 certificates are used create a secure TLS channel. All our SIP messages are then transported within the secure channel.
NB: The digest authentication mentioned above for authenticating a user agent is just authentication. The messages are not protected from reading or modification hence it is recommended that these messages are carried inside a secure TLS channel for better security.
    3. Privacy and Identification
Additional security features in SIP provides means where any user can choose to either reveal or conceal his identity.
    4.Secure RTP
SIP also provides the ability to secure the media channel. It is not enough to secure signalling while anyone can listen to the media. RFC3830 discusses how the encryption should be done.
    5. S/MIME
S/MIME encapsulation is used to protect sip headers making it impossible for any one in between the sender and receiver to modify the sip headers

  • Unified communication certificates  (UCC) : SSSLERR_SERVER_CERT_MISMATCH

    Hello ,
We are using UCC (unified communication certificates) which allows us
to include multiple domains controlled in a single certificate.
    http://help.godaddy.com/article/3908
We are trying to setup a secure connection from SAP ECC6 (Abap stack
    7.01 SPS6) to the adress : https://serverA
When using IE, and examining the certificate installed at this adress, CN=serverB,
which contains several domains including serverA.
The ICM is in the client role
The following entry is displayed in the trace:
    [Thr 1] Tue Jun 28 15:30:06 2011
    [Thr 1] TRACE FILE TRUNCATED
    [Thr 6] Tue Jun 28 15:30:14 2011

    ==SSSLERR_SERVER_CERT_MISMATCH
    [Thr 6] *** ERROR => IcmConnInitClientSSL: SapSSLSessionStart failed (-30): SSSLERR_SERVER_CERT_MISMATCH [icxxconn_m
There is apparently a certificate mismatch issue, SAP ICM is expecting
the CN to be "serverA", instead of "serverB"
I had a look at sap note "Note 1318906 - Trace analysis of SSL
    problems" which states that
"the certificate that is returned by the server is issued for a
different server name and is therefore rejected"
But by definition, when using UCC, several domains and hostnames are
secured within one CN. It means that serverA domain is
    included in CN=serverB
Therefore when accessing the application with IE, there are no errors.
Is there an option on SAP ECC to be able to handle such certificates?
Thank you very much for your help.
    Best Regards.

  • What do you feel is lacking in Unified Communications today?

Our product development team knowswhat they're seeing as lacking in UC,and are curious to learn what others think.Right now what we see as the biggest thing lacking is the strategy surrounding Unified Communications (UC). Decision makers and IT directors have many different applications that they offer to their end users, but the biggest challenge is in formulating a strategy around what they’re offering to various functional areas in their business in a way that makes is easy for them to use. There are many different applications and silos of applications all running on the desktop at the same time; offering them in a seamless fashion to end users is the crux of the strategy, so there is a high rate of user adoption. We wrote a whole blog post on this topic, click here if you want to read it ...

    Hello,
Based on your description, you can try to use SQL Server 2012 Express LocalDB.
LocalDB is created specifically for developers. It is very easy to install and requires no management, but it offers the same T-SQL language, programming surface and client-side providers as the regular SQL Server Express.
SQL Server LocalDB can work with Entity Framework and ADO.NET Syc Framework. However, there is no built-in encryption feature in LocalDB which
can let you encrypt database. You should decrypt/encrypt data on your own, for example, using
    Cryptographic Functions

  • Broken Cisco Unity / Unified Communications Manager association

We have several Cisco Unity Connection users with the following status in their profiles:
"This user's association to the co-resident Cisco Unified Communications Manager user has been broken.
Please Click Here to reassociate the orphaned user."
Clicking on the reassociation button does not show any of the users with broken associations, just a few resource users.
Is there any way to reassociate these users with CUCM without having to delete them in Unity Connection along with their mailboxes?

These are the steps I took to resolve the issue. I was particularly concerned about users losing saved messages in their voicemail. The posted solution did not give much detail on what to do.
    1) Create a new user in CUCM. For example, I have a user called 'John Doe' in the system. I created a new one called 'John Doe2'.
    2) After creating the user I associated 'John Doe2' to the phone in use by 'John Doe'. Then I set the Primary Extension as needed for that user. Hit the 'Save' button and verify that the 'Create Cisco Unity User' option shows up in the drop-down box in the right hand corner.
    3) Log into Cisco Unity Connection Administration, and select 'John Doe'. Click on the link to re-associate and select 'John Doe2'. This links the Unity user to the CUCM user.
    4) Log back into CUCM and select 'John Doe' from the user list. Remove all device associations from the user. Hit Save, then delete the user.
    5) Select 'John Doe2' and rename the user as 'John Doe'.
These steps fixed my problem. I had to do it for all the users whose association was broken. One note to make is that the voicemail PIN is automatically reset to the default I believe, which is 0000. Other than that voicemail continues to work normally and users don't have to redo their greetings and such.
