ASA changing ip address on name

customer has 8.0.5 and does not want to upgrade but is changing all ip addresses. Only giving me console access. I can see no easy way to do this because if I do a no name to change a name then the ASA changes the reference say a nat statement to the ip address. Creating the name again with the new ip address does not change the nat. Is there a way to do that with CLI or am I stuck with redoing the names and all references.

Can you clarify a bit on the whole situation? Is the customer changing ISP and is therefore changing all the Static NAT public IP addresses in the Static NAT configurations and therefore wants to change the "name x.x.x.x testname" to match the new IP addresses?
The "name" configurations and the Static NAT are not linked to eachother to my understanding.
You can just configure these name/IP pairs and use them to replace IP addresses on the CLI (and ASDM I'd imagine, I don't use it much).
I have personally found using the "name" configurations more problematic than usefull. So I usually first disable the use of them with "no names" but might leave the "name x.x.x.x testname" configurations on the ASA for later reference.
In the new softwares of 8.3 and above the "object network NAT" is actually a better way to implement somekind of IP to name mapping while keeping it somehow tolerable (for me personally atleast). Though as you said your customer wont want to upgrade the ASA.

You would have to delete the existing iCloud account and create a wholly new one - you cannot change the @icloud.com email address of the one you already have. To make a new one, you will also need an new AppleID as any AppleID can only have one iCloud account associated with it.
Deleting the account will not delete anything off your device (if prompted for things like contacts, choose to keep them). You will have to sync everything anew with the new account as you cannot move your sync'd content, your old backups or anything else from one iCloud account to another. You will have to set up sync again and let it sync to the new account, and then make new backups to the new account as well.

I've had the 2nd generation Apple TV since this past October when it was released and it has worked fine until I recently changed my Apple User Name (email address). After changing my user name my Apple TV and iPhone 4 no longer find my shared network. Home sharing is enabled on all devices, including my Sony Vaio Laptop, iPhone4, and Apple TV 2nd generation. Everything else has remained constant, including service provider, router, modem, and internet security (Trend Micro). Also, my library is on a networked hard drive, which didnt seem to make a difference before, but I figured I'd mention it. Any thoughts?

Thank you for the information. He confirmed that the ID and password are the same on every device. This only started happending when he changed his User Name with Apple.

Changing the Sender's Name of an Email Address

I am sending Emails from an Activity in the Interaction Center WinClient and is working good. The thing is that i don't want to display the name of the person that is sending the e-mail once the e-mail is sent.
For security reasons, i want to change the sender's name for a text.
For instance, if Jose Perez is sending the e-mail, i want change that for Solution Center. That way, when the customer receive the e-mail, he will see Solution Center and the e-mail address ('[email protected]) of the sender.
Can anyone help me solve this issue?

In the function module SO_OBJECT_SEND, which is used to send e-mails, you can pass the parameter ORIGINATOR and ORIGINATOR_TYPE.
ORIGINATOR = the email address that will appear as 'From'
ORIGINATOR_TYPE = 'U' for internet e-mailadresses.

Add-ons not working after server IP address/domain name change.

Hello everyone,
We have just changed the IP address of our SAP Business One server and moved it into a new domain.
Although SAP Business One is working as expected, the add-ins created by a third party do not work. Having very little knowledge of SAP I do not understand where the problem could be.
The third party were on-site today and have reinstalled the add-ons but they still do not work.
There is an error message when starting the client that states: Module <Compatability Licensed for Add-ons> Expired on <20080115> but the third party have stated that this isn't a license issue.
Can anyone provide any assistance/advice on what the problem may be?
The possibilities for the problem at the moment are:
- Invalid license key for add-ons (but why would changing the IP address/domain name cause this issue?)
- The add-on is coded with the original IP address of the server.
- There is a permissions problem that has been missed (as users are in a new domain).
Any advice/suggestions are welcome.

I am afraid that the possible cause is the addon is coded with the IP address in their connection method. It could be possible that it is a hardcoded addon.
you must ask the addon developer to change it and do not use the IP address anymore in the addon.

Changing my address name?

I just discovered that my full name is in the address list, at the top right side of my screen. It has been there all along, but I did not know what this list was. It looks like a list of nearby Airport addresses, could it be my neighbors?
Can I, and if so, how can I change my name in this list? I am the only one using my full name on that list.

1 What does it mean - wireless networks that my Airport adapter can 'see' my wireless network?
Your Macs, that are wireless capable, have a built in wireless card known as an AirPort or AirPort Extreme. This is somewhat confusing as Apple uses the same term to describe their wireless routers.
What I was referring to, is that your Mac's AirPort (wireless adapter) can "see" the Network Names of any nearby wireless network ... not just the wireless network created by your AirPort router.
I agree, my wireless network was set up to use my personal name. At that time, I did not know it would be part of a public list.
For future reference, by default, the Network Name (or SSID) is set to broadcast that name to any wireless device within range of the router. The AirPort's default Network Name is Apple Network NNNNNN, unless you change it via the AirPort Utility ... so, if you have changed it to your name, this is what these wireless clients can "see" as an available wireless network. Of course, if this was not your intent, it would be easy to change it with the utility.
2 I am wondering now if that was a good choice, even if it was by default, since the other networks that see my network, all used password like codes for their network names.
Again, your name would not be the default, instead "Apple Network NNNNNN" would be the default. The Ns would be the first six digits of the router's AirPort ID. These IDs are unique with each AirPort.

Changing the shared address book name.

I am sharing my addressbook through .mac to serveral other .mac users in the office. When they subscribe to it is shown as "Homer Simpson" (name changed to protect the guilty). I want to change that name to "Office Address Book". I tried change "MyCard" to read accordingly in Address Book but that wasn't it.
Where is the shared address book name getting pulled from?

Hostname changes are not supported in Oracle Clusterware (CRS), unless you want to perform a deletenode followed by a new addnode operation.
The hostname is used to store among other things the flag files and Oracle Clusterware stack will not start if hostname is changed.
Changing the Private Interconnect
o Change of the IP Address: change the IP address in the hosts file and/or DNS and make sure that ASM and the database also use the same interconnect
o Change of the private node name used by Oracle Clusterware: requires a reinstall of Oracle Clusterware
So, Public or Private hostnames can only be changed by removing/adding nodes, or reinstalling Oracle Clusterware. VIP Hostnames can be changed

To change the From name on and iOS device, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...tap iCloud under Accounts, tap your iCloud account at the top of the next screen, tap Mail at the bottom of the next screen, then enter the name you want to use in the Name field at the top.
To change the From name on a Mac (if you have one), go to icloud.com, sign into your account, open Mail, click the gear shaped icon on the bottom left and choose Preferences, go to the Accounts tab and enter the name you want to use in the Full Name field and click Done. Then quit Mail on your Mac and re-open it. Your new From name should now appear in the drop-down list when you compose a new email.

Is there a way to change the addresses used in an existing iMessage thread?

This is kind of a multi-part question. Let me describe my scenario.
I have many iMessage threads with other iPhone users where the "reply" addresses for one or both ends are the phone *numbers* instead of AppleID email addresses. (This could be due to a number of factors... either they had their "Start new conversations from" address set to their phone number, and/or they started a new conversation with me sending it to my phone number. How it *got* that way doesn't really matter). I want to be able to change the addresses of the conversation to AppleID's (so that I'll still get messages when I change SIM cards, among other reasons).
With iOS 8's new ability to add/remove people from conversations, I thought I would be able to add the AppleID address and remove the phone number address, but there are two problems with that: 1) iOS 8 seems to only allow this for conversations which began as multi-person conversations, and 2) it doesn't seem to want to let you add addresses for people who are already recipients via another address (in other words, if Alice is already on the conversation via her phone number, I can't add her AppleID to the conversation). I guess I could remove the person first, and then re-add them with the other address... but I'd feel safer if I could add the next one before removing the first one.
I know I could just tell the other person to delete our thread and start a new one, but I don't want to lose all of our dialogue and pictures (and I don't want to have to manually save it).
So, the questions:
Is there a way to change the address my counterparty is sending to when they make further replies to our conversation?
Is there a way to change the address I send to when I make further replies to the conversation?
Is there a way to change the default address to use when trying to send someone an iMessage? (What I'm after here is a way to craft my "contact" entry in people's phones so that, when they try to send a message to me and start typing my name, my preferred address comes up on top).
As it looks like the only way to do this might be to use iOS 8's method of adding/removing recipients, is there a way of converting a two-person conversation into a multi-person one?

I think I may have solved it, actually. I find that if I switch the timecode to NDF in the source viewer, it seems to work. I have tried it on three clips and they have sync'd without problems. Hopefully this will continue to be the case.

If the old ID ("email address") is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

Adding E2500 as second router but it won't let me change IP address

I've been looking all over for some posts on this, to no avail. So that's why new post.
Was using E2500 router for my mom's router (so I could install a Roku). All went well, until a couple of months ago, it just sponaneously stopped working. (Go figure.) To make a long story short, I ended up reinstalling the firmware and then when it failed again, I bought her another router to get her up and going. I figured, I'll use the e2500 to add it to my own network to extend the coverage etc.
I understand that I need to log onto the router just PC to router to reconfigure: disable DHCP and set IP address to 192.168.1.2. Yes, i have read many posts in the KB; particularly of use was the one on cascading routers. I'm going LAN to LAN, and basically just want to make the e2500 into an access point that I can both plug into and use wirelessly. (I will be running cable through my basement from one end of the house to the other.)
I should note that I turn off my Wifi on my laptop (Win 7) so as to not pick up the signal from my main router (E3000) and of course I disconnect from LAN. Also I have done a factory reset on the e2500 (30 30 30 rule). (Although, when I get logged on, it somehow remembers the name I gave it when it was at my Mom's....weird, no matter how many times I do it.)
First of all, every time I log onto the router, it makes me re-upload the firmware (and wait and wait) every time. OK.
I log onto the e2500, just PC to router, after it prompts me to upgrade the firmware, I'm in. On one of these rounds, I turned off DHCP, and that seems to "stick". HOWEVER, when I change the IP address to 192.168.1.2 and/or change the router name to the name I want, when I click Save, it just takes me out to the logon again. And it doesn't save the new IP address or name, which I see when I go to the page to verify.
OK so I'll keep the old name, just let me change that one digit in the IP address. No go.
I've spent so much time on this, both here and at my mom's. This router has been very difficult to work with. What should I do? Thanks for any and all help.

as soon as you turn off dhcp then your pc can't get served an ip anymore. So, two choices, set your pc to a static ip before you start or set the ip of the router then turn off dhcp on the router and then connect it to the main router so it will serve your pc an ip from the main router. but from all the other issues you mentioned it sounds like it may be a bad router at this point. maybe it got a power hit or something?
