Hello,
Ofcourse it is,
Are you using anyconnect ?
Is the traffic reaching the ASA?
Does the computer you use uses a Java version lower than 7?

Accessing ASDM through MS Remote Desktop Services session based system
I am setting up a MS Remote Desktop Services system for a client. This is being configured as a jump server so everyone at the client will go through this system (aka jump server) to access systems via ssh, https, etc that are in a restricted part of the network. I am running into a problem getting ASDM to work. I can bring up the initial web page directly on the server via Internet Explorer, so that tells me I can get to the ASA. I have installed Java 1.7.10 as this is the recommended version on looking at the Java site for Windows 2012. When I try to install the dm_launcher, it says that Java isnt installed..
Has anyone been able to get this to work ?
RonI've used ASDM fine from an RDS platform. I used Java 7 update 45. How are you trying to install the launcher?

Managing ASA5510 using ASDM via internal interface
Hello
I am currently managing an ASA5510 using ASDM through the management port but I would like to manage the ASA through the internal port.
My concern is that I thought I remembered reading someplace that if you setup an internal port for management that it can't be used for anything else. Is this correct?
I only configured one internal port and it is the path to my LAN. I would hate to configure the port for management only to find that I disconnected my firewall from my internal network in the process. Can I use my one and only configured internal port for both ASA management and route from my LAN thru the ASA firewall?
I currently have the management port set to 192.168.1.1 and my internal interface is 10.1.1.1. If I open ASDM and connect thru the management port and select Configuration/Device Management/Management Access/ASDM/HTTPS/Telnet/SSH
select "ADD"
select access type "ASDM/HTTPS"
select interface "internal"
IP Address "10.1.1.0"
Mask "255.255.255.0"
Will that give me access to ASA management thru my internal network but cripple my network access to the ASA?
Sorry if this is confusing... I don't know how else to phrase it.
Thanks
EdHi
it sounds like a better plan than opening up for each and every unit on the inside :).
But if you have a old laptop or something like that I would state that setting that up with a syslog server and use that to manage the firewall would be a even better option.
that way you would get logs and a management station.
there are several syslog servers that are free and I like to use grep that is also free to filter information.
http 10.1.1.52 255.255.255.255 inside
will make the 10.1.1.52 the only server to work with asdm
but you will have to remove the old http 10.1.1.0 255.255.255.0 inside statement.
If you find the answers helpful please rate.
good luck

management-access inside
and don't forget:
ssh inside
http inside
I'm guessing you forgot to grant ASDM (http/https) access to the IP addresses used by the VPN? Can you SSH? If not, that is your problem to solve first. -
I'm new to the forum/discussions so forgive me if this is already posted. I read through several other posts and have followed the troubleshooting procedures in them, but I still can't access ASDM. I deleted the old ASDM versions and upgraded to ASDM 7.1(1)52 which shows compatible with ASA 8.2(1). I'm on an inside NAT address connected to Eth 0/5, 192.168.1.5/24. I can ping and SSH to the FW but no ASDM. FW is passing traffic and everything else works just fine. Please advise. Thank you.

Require Client Certificate to Access ASDM on the Following Interfaces
Hello
I have an ASA 5585 with an outside interface with two subnets. The mgmt interface is the secondary interface. I have a certificate linked to the outside interface's primary ip address. When I ASDM to the ASA I get a dialog box telling me the cert is self signed. Do I need to get a second cert or can I do something else on the ASA that will allow the existing cert on the ASA to work with ASDM on the ASA?
I.e. Configuration/Management Access/ASDM/HTTPS/Telent/SSH/Require Client Certificate to Access ASDM on the Following Interfaces
Thanks!
MattYou can bind the identity certificate to multiple interfaces. Whether it is self-signed or from a third party trusted root CA it will work either way.
You may get some warnings from ASA if the FQDN or IP address you are connecting to does not match the certificate but clicking through that will allow you to manage the appliance.
Client certificates are a totally separate issue. That's typically only used when you have a PKI and are using the certificates issued to a client as a form of authentication and/or authorization. -
Accessing Photos Through Other Programs
Hopefully this is not a stupid question and that it actually makes sense. I recently updated my iphoto library. Yesterday a photo was sent to me through messenger on my iphone. I saved that photo to my phone and then imported it into my computer. Since it's a picture of my relatives and not of me, I don't feel comfortable uploading it to social media and wanted to just share it directly with a friend through skype. However, I find that when I try to locate a file within my mac so that I can upload it to sites and programs of my choosing, I can no longer access my photo library. Oh, I can find the photo library, but it's not accessible from other programs. I don't want to import the photo through iphoto into mail, messages, airdrop, twitter, facebook, linkedin, vimeo, flickr, 'add to photos', or add to aperture or any of the other options. It's my photo so I should be able to do whatever I want with it.
So, my question is: how in the world do I access the file itself, and send it to somewhere not on the sharing list? And specifically, can I access that file and do anything with it from outside iphoto at all?The drag and drop portion of that does work.
Although I will admit that the accessing them through the 'media' and 'photos' thing when you try to open a file through other programs 100% is no longer an option. The only thing you'll find in there is photo booth. Also the 'Select one of the affected photos in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Reveal in Finder -> Original. A Finder window will pop open with the file already selected.' is no longer an option. I don't know about the other options because I didn't try. But so far in order to just be able to access the file however I want to, dragging and dropping it to the desktop is the only thing I've found that works. -
Can only access emails through OWA after migration from exchange 2007 to 2013
can only access emails through OWA after migration from exchange 2007 to 2013, in other words unable to access mails through outlook or from other Applications services.
needed RCA ... plz help..Hi,
From your description, you can send and receive messages only when you use OWA after migration from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013. If I have misunderstood your concern, please let me know.
In your case, I recommend you create a new test mailbox in your Exchange 2013 and check if you can send and receive messages on Outlook. If yes, it is recommended to create a new profile to solve this issue.
Hope this can be helpful to you.
Best regards,

They will only be where you put them If you are doing the very basics, then they will be on your computer and they will be in your backup copy of your computer.

Since upgrading my iPhone 4 to the new ios6 software I can no longer access itunes through the itunes app. I there a fix for this yet?

Why would there be a fix? YOU are having the problem. I'm not, no one I know is having the problem. No fix is needed.
Basic troubleshooting steps clearly outlined in the User Guide are restart, reset, restore from backup, restore as new. Have you been through any, if not all of these troubleshooting steps yet? -

Error while accessing data from MS Access DB through Window AD architec
Dear Members,
Iam having a BO 3.0 installation on a standalone PC with the basic tomcat and mysql setup... As a test environment, Now while designing universes i can easily connect to Oracle EBS structure also SQL server DB ... the problem is when iam linking to a MS Access DB through a network drive (its all ok in the designer) but while in Webi while runnning the query, it throws an error of (WIS 10901 .... database error DSN not specified)
I have configured ODBC properly also given appropriate rights for the users and strangely the same universe is running well with my thick client desktop and webi rich client
(so iam sure its not a odbc issue)
Looking forward for any comments on this problempossibly the account running the webi report server doesn't have access to the drive. Is it local system? Try using the same account you are logged into the webi rich client as, but you will most likely need to grant that account local admin on the server so it can run the service.

Is there a way to access 11i from outside other than Self service?
Is there a way to access 11i from outside other than Self service?
I could connect any application from inside the firewall (basically router) and can not access screens from outside. Eventhough port forwarding 80 allows us upto initial screen, it does not go further.
Any workaround/suggestions
JiltinHi Jiltin,
If you can migrate your forms server into Forms Listener Servlet. This will allow you to use forms outside firewall provided atleast one port(assuming yours 80) is open.
Ref to the M.Link Note 201340.1 for how to setup forms listener servlet.
