ASA5510 - Is it possible to give users access 2 hours per day?

Hi!
As the topic say; is it possible to set up so specific users only have, say, 2 hours of internet access per day?
They should be able to log on any time of the day, and so many times they want, as long as the total usage does not exeed 2 hours per day.
Is this possible on a ASA5510, or any other device Cisco is selling?
Thanks.

You would have to do that with a proxy or web security appliance. Take a look at Cisco's Ironport products.

  • Possible to show fewer Calendar hours per day?

Is there a way to reduce the number of hours Calendar shows each day?
My appointments happen between the hours of 8am and 8pm.  But CAL shows all 24 hours each day.  If I have one appointment at 8am, one at 2pm, a third at 4pm and maybe a dinner at 7pm, the page view on iPhone limits my view to one or two of these appointments.  To see others I have to scroll up or down.  Not a big deal but I'd like to see all that day's appointments on one page view.
Is there a way to do this?

See Apple's article titled "Controlling when a user can access your network" found at:

Would it be possible to configure wi-fi airtime per day/week for my children. They have an iPhone/ipad device and trend to watch the screen every free moment of their time.....

    Hello rogier111
    Maybe this helps:
Open AirPort Utility, select your AirPort Base Station and click Manual Setup.
    Select Access Control Tab.
Pick Timed Access from the list.
Now click on the "+" button, enter the MAC adress of the device you want and decide for the network time limits.
    Update your Airport.
You can find the MAC adress of an iOS device by going to Settings/General/About.

  • Does anyone know if it is possible to change the display in week view to show 24 hours per day for those of us that work irregular hours

Does anyone know if it is possible to change the display in week view to show all 24 hours per day for those of us that work irregular hours.
Also is it possible to have all of the 'all day' entries showing, not just 3.5 of them.
The app Week Cal HD was the perfect calendar until Apple removed it so could they please offer the same facilities that it offered.

  • Is it possible to restrict user access to files that need read/write permissions?

I am in the process of implementing electronic payments for a company's AP department.  Dynamics GP (Great Plains) needs to create an EFT file that will get sent to the bank.  After it is created, a script is run that sends the TXT file to the
bank and then renames the file extension to SNT.  Users are logged on to the Great Plains server and have their own permission group.
Because the file is sending payment instructions, it is essential that users cannot modify or create a file with fraudulent payment instructions to the bank (incorrect bank account info).
With testing, I was able to save the file from GP to a folder where users cannot read it's contents, however the script cannot send the file to the bank without "read access" (it says not files available).
Any ideas for solutions?  For instance, is it possible to make Great Plains and/or the script file "system" so that it can override the user profile's permissions?
I was also looking into the ability to hide the folder/files, but it appears users can choose to view hidden files and folders.

I dont think so you can do it that way..

  • DS 5.2 - how to give users access to suffixes via the admin console?

I'm in the process of migrating my LDAP install from 5.1 -> 5.2, and have encountered an issue with console access. The "admin" user previously had access to all the suffixes in the directory. After loading the data into a 5.2 directory, this access was lost. The "admin" user can login to the console, but in the directory tab, only sees "cn=schema" and "cn=monitor". The data suffixes are not present. I have verified that the ACI for this user should be allowing access to the data suffixes.
    Any ideas?
Additionally, I've tried creating new users with console access, and none of them can even login. Thoughts?

    never mind, found it there.

  • Give user access to usb/iphone??

Hello all. I'm trying to get usbmuxd+ifuse working with my iphone (installed them from AUR along with various dependencies). All in all they seem to be working, but trying to mount the phone I get this:
libusb couldn't open USB device /dev/bus/usb/001/006: Permission denied.
libusb requires write access to USB device nodes.
The doumentation says I have to create a user called usbmux (which I have). The problem, I'm pretty sure, is that usbmux does not have access to my usb-devices. How would I go about giving a user control over usb-devices?
    Thanks in advance.

chmod 777 /dev/bus/usb/001/006 Should work, however that is certainly not a solution. There was a way to make USB accessible to user, but I don't remember it right now, I think it was somewhere on the wiki, If I find it, I'll edit my post.
    EDIT:
Try setting this in /etc/fstab, see if it helps (be careful with the group id, though....)

  • User access more than one application

how can i give user access on more than on apex application

    >
Welcome to the forum: please read the FAQ and forum sticky threads (if you haven't done so already), and update your forum profile with a real handle instead of "984229".
When you have a problem you'll get a faster, more effective response by including as much relevant information as possible upfront. This should include:
    <li>Full APEX version
    <li>Full DB/version/edition/host OS
<li>Web server architecture (EPG, OHS or APEX listener/host OS)
    <li>Browser(s) and version(s) used
    <li>Theme
    <li>Template(s)
<li>Region/item type(s) (making particular distinction as to whether a "report" is a standard report, an interactive report, or in fact an "updateable report" (i.e. a tabular form)
With APEX we're also fortunate to have a great resource in apex.oracle.com where we can reproduce and share problems. Reproducing things there is the best way to troubleshoot most issues, especially those relating to layout and visual formatting. If you expect a detailed answer then it's appropriate for you to take on a significant part of the effort by getting as far as possible with an example of the problem on apex.oracle.com before asking for assistance with specific issues, which we can then see at first hand.
how can i give user access on more than on apex applicationSee +{thread:id=515240}+ for the basic technique, and these Oracle Magazine articles for extended examples:
    <li>Creating Custom Authentication
    <li>Build a Menu Framework
Note that APEX has a built-in publish-and-subscribe model. You create a "master" application to contain publishable components like authentication schemes, LOVs and templates. Theme templates are created, maintained and published through this application, and other applications reference the standard templates by subscription from the master application. Changes can be pushed out from the master application to all subscribing applications.

  • User access Autherization

    Hi,
is it possible to create user access authorization for the particular storage location. E.g. plant 1000 has 1001 and 1002 storage locations and user A have to be given the authorization only for location 1001. if this is possible pls explain me how should I do it.

  • User access control and WebStart

I'm considering tools and utils for a new project and WebStart looks like it could suit our needs just perfect.
    Just one little question:
If I have a system with multiple applications controlled by WebStart, is it possible to restrict user access?
I need to be able to present different selections of applications to different types of users, is this possible to configure/code for WebStart?
    Thankful for pointers

At what point do you want to treat different users
differently (like allowing access to different apps)?
    Possible points could be:
    - at the webserver level (different download pages,
    that are access protected)
    - different Web Start application caches (as far
as I understand under Win32 all users share
one cache - but this seems subject to some
    property configuration in WebStart)
    - within the application (the app expecting different
    license keys, passwords or such)
    - within Web Start (Web Start utility asks for password,
this could be achieved by writing a custom jnlp
client - think openjnlp as example
    http://openjnlp.nanode.org/)
I think the first two options are not useful, as
users might get the application somewhere else
and just copy it onto their box - this is also
    true for the last option.
So I would put access control into the applications
    themselves.

  • Is it possible to give a user read access to an SAP table but to restrict it to a subset of columns?

    Hi,
is it possible to give a user read access to an SAP table but to restrict it to a subset of columns?
    Thanks,
    Digesh

    Hi Digesh,
If your requirement is to restrict the excess to specific rows it is possible to use S_TABU_LIN, but it works only for table which contains org units, like plant, company code, etc.
Please search for S_TABU_LIN if this is your requirement.
    Otherwise please follow Alex's suggestion.

  • Can I give our AD users access to Visual Studio Online?

Our AD is connected to our Azure Active Directory and synced via DirSync.
Is it possible for me to give our AD users access to VSO and they use their organizational login credentials OR do they need to create Microsoft accounts?
Our goal is single sign-on with our AD credentials. Please let me know if this is possible?
    Thanks, Sam

    Hi Sam,
You can link your Visual Studio Online account with your Azure Activy directoy. Directory administrators control who joins the directory and has possible access to your Visual Studio Online account. The users can use Azure Active directory accounts
to sign in Visual Stduio Online account. You can check this
page for more information about manage organization access for your account.
The numbers of users can access Visual Studio Online account depend on your license of Visual Studio Online account. You can add no more then 5 basic users and unlimited MSDN subscriptions if you have Basic license of Visual Studio Online account. Check
    this
page for the pricing. However, you can assign team members stakeholder license if the users only view the project-level information. Check this
page for more information about stakeholder license of Visual Studio Online.

  • How to give a user access to just 2 fields in a user account properties

Is it possible to create a user that has basic access rights in Active Directory but give it access to just the users name and telephone number of every user in Active Directory?  We have a Windows 2003 AD level at the moment.
    Thanks.

Sure, by default a user you create in Active Directory is going to be apart of Domain Users.  This user will be an Authenticated User and will have Read permissions over all other users in AD, meaning they can see all other users information.
If you want you can delegate control to a user or group and limit or expand what the user can do.  For instance you can right-click the name of your domain in Active Directory Users and Computers and click Delegate Control then click Next.  Click
add to add a user or test user, then click Next. Click the Create a custom task to delegate then click Next, select Only the following objects in the folder, then select account objects and click Next. Click Property-specific and there you'll find things like
Read displayName.  Check Read displayName and Click next then click Finish.  So you've delegated that to that user or group.

  • Give external users access to resources?

    Hello TechNet
I need to know if it's possible to give external exchange users access to a meeting room or a resource in Exchange.
We have Exchange 2007 and 2013, the users in the Exchange 2013 enviroment will need access to resources in the Exchange 2007 enviroment. The most important thing is that users can be able to book meeting rooms and get an instant reply from the meeting room.
I've had a look at GalSync (http://www.galsync.com/)  but this tool will only synchronize the objects.. so i might as well create a simple powershell script instead to accomplish this.
If needed I will upgrade the Exchange 2007 to 2013, this needs to be done anyway.
    Thanks :)
Best Regards Bjørn Olav Vangen Aure

    Hi,
About giving external exchange users access to a meeting room or a resource in Exchange, do you mean let non-Exchange users (Hotmail users, Gmail users etc.) to book Exchange room mailbox or Exchange 2013 users for Exchange 2007 server? What’s your detailed
Exchange environment? An organization with Exchange 2007 coexistence with Exchange 2013 or two forests with one for Exchange 2007 and another forest with Exchange 2013?
Generally, if Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2013 are in the same forest of one organization, all room mailboxes created in Exchange 2007 and Exchange 2013 should be available for all users in the organization. If your requirement is cross-forest room booking,
we need to establish a forest trust between the forests, configure cross-forest Availability service, and GALSYNC. For more information about detailed steps, please refer to the following article:
    http://blogs.technet.com/b/neiljohn/archive/2011/10/12/exchange-server-2010-cross-forest-delegation.aspx?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A+NeilJohnson-ARocknRollNerd+(Neil+Johnson+-+a+rock+'n+roll+nerd...)
    Hope it helps.

  • Power Shell Web Access - How to limit the cmdlets and give regular users, access to perform tasks

It is possible to give to regular/standard users, powershell web access to give only, for example, "get-" cmdlets?
The ideia is to provide help desk tech users, a minimum level of access on some servers, and it will be usefull to give then, basic and restrcted access to a few cmdlets, performe harmless activities and mybe some level of access, not alloweing to to using
    RDP, but PS, insted

While PowerShell Web Access (PSWA) does require authorization rules to function, these rules do not specify what cmdlets can be used in a PSRemoting session. The PSWA authorization rules define what user, or group of users, can remotely connect to what computer,
or group of computers, through the PSWA gateway (the PSWA server).
What you need to research are session configurations and/or endpoints. These are separate from PSWA, but can be used in conjunction with PSWA (PSWA website > Optional connection settings > Configuration >
NameOfConfiguration), just as they can in a standard console-based PSRemoting session (Enter-PSSession -ComputerName
server01 -Configuration NameOfConfiguration -or- Invoke-Command -ComputerName
    server01 -Configuration NameOfConfiguration).
Start your research with New-PSSessionConfigurationFile and then Register- and Unregister-PSSessionConfiguration. These have been great for our environment, allowing non-admin users access to run very specific cmdlets as an admin, without being an admin
    on the computer.
