Ashish

Hello Ashish,
For New project Implementations, we need to discuss with client about their requirements & according to that we need to create BPML Document followed by Business Blue Print & Key Data Structure & Configuration Document. Once you done with configuration after that you have to create User Manuals to teach/show client how SAP process will work after configuration of your module.
In addition to this, these are the basic documents which needs to maintain... in this it could + or - of documents according to project & company's requirement. i.e. Functional specs. or any other Document.
Hope this will make addition to your knowledge.
Regards.

  • Difference between SOLMAN and ASAP Project Selector

How different is SOLMAN from ASAP Project Selector as far as roadmaps for standard SAP Implementation methodologies are concerned? Does SOLMAN consist of questionnaires like is the case with ASAP Project Selector?

    Hi Namrata
    1. How different is SOLMAN from ASAP Project Selector as far as roadmaps for standard SAP Implementation methodologies are concerned?
    A. The SOLMAN is a different tool altogether.  it is an enhancement to the ASAP Methodology for the latest versions of SAP.  In SOLMAN we will select the required business and its processes supplied by the SAP.  Whereas we need to change the necessary modifications to the required objects and do the enhancements to the default configurations.  In SOLMAN we need to define the landscape very initially.  If a project is implementing with SOLMAN, then each and every request should be routed through SOLMAN and stored in SOLMAN and also each and every requirement as well as all BPP should be kept in SOLMAN.  And configuration will also be done from SOLMAN itself, whereas earlier in ASAP methodology this doesn't exist.
    2. Does SOLMAN consist of questionnaires like is the case with ASAP Project Selector?
    A. SOLMAN will not consist any questionnaires like in ASAP project selector.  It is an extension to the ASAP methodology.  for preparing the as is study we need to follow the ASAP methodology, and for preparing the blueprint and configuration, we will use the SOLMAN.

  • Roles in Project preparation phase ?

    hii
Some body explain me on their real time exeperiance of 1st phase implementation.??
What will be the major roles and reponsibilities of MM consultant in 1st and second phase ???
How we should do the AS-IS study in client place ????
Some body explain me in depth and detailed of their own experiance in implementation project.
And additionally ,as MM consultant where we shlould not be lack of knowledge for any implementationss??
    Thanks

In project preparation phase, all the details of the projects are set, who will be the project manager from implementors side and from client side, then the whole team is selected of both sides, some times there are interviews of consultants as well from the client, where client desides which consultants they want for there implementation.
Then usually sign up of the project is done and sometimes presentation on every module is given as well if sign up and project start has big difference in dates.
Then in blueprint phase, for AS-IS, you MM consultant and powerusers from client sit down and you jott down all the current settings of the client, here its decides and researched how there current system is configured, and what necessary settings are required for SAP i.e. how many plants, how many purchase  organisations, groups, how many material groups, what number ranges master record will follow, how many document types for PR,PO,contract, which additional processes are required i.e. Framework order, source lists, which type of mrp, subcontract, consigment process etc.
Once you get all the data in AS-IS, you create blueprint based on this information which will contain every info, i.e. how many plants will be created, what numbers, how many storage locations with names and numbers for each plant, how many purchase organisation with details, purchase groups, document types of prs, pos, with number ranges, release strategy, and total process flow in this documentation and what can and what cant be configured in SAP, thus the TO BE stage. Here client views your document and if there are any reservations they are pointed out, if any deletion addition is needed to the document they are notified to the consultants, necessary changes are made to the blueprint and this up/down in changes keeps on going, until the blueprint is signed.
Same above described process happens for all other modules as well, and once all module blueprints are signed, then begins the realization phase. Usually the blueprint phase in 6 months implementation last for 2 months.

  • Help needed ASAP -- Project file won't open

Stuck in Africa right now (can't call telephone support).
I am volunteering on a medical/dental trip and am in charge of the final nights video.
    Here is the problem.
I am almost done with the video (15 minutes long -- full HD) and suddenly the when I click on the project from the project library it won't open.
all the other projects open fine. Just this one project won't.
when I click on it, the project library slides to the side, but behind it is another project library, but when I mouse over it plays the movie, but it is un-editable in this state.
It was working great until this dreadful moment....
I saw another post about deleting the thumbnails for an EVENT that was having problems. Can this be done with a PROJECT file?
The big movie presentation/trip is in 12 hours....
    Can anyone help me???

One time, after quitting IM and re-launching it later, my project disappeared from the project list.
Apple Support told me to do this.
    1) quit IM
    2) with the finder, move the project out of the project directory
    3) launch IM
    4) quit IM
    5) with the finder, put the project back into the project directory
    6) launch IM
My project re-appeared. He said these steps forces a project index to be rebuilt.
Your symptoms are different but maybe the cure is the same --- good luck.

  • Need help asap, project due monday!

    Hey everyone,
I'm a college student and I have a final project due on monday.
I'm running into a MAJOR issue which I've never had before.  I know this is probably a noobie issue but any help would be fantastic.
I have text on it's own layer, typed it directly into flash, there are two text fields on this layer.  I created at motion tween to move the text from the center of my stage to the top of my stage at about halfway on my scene1 timeline and then it sticks there til the end of that scene.  My issue is, my text will display and animate when I run the timeline in flash.  But when I hit CTRL Enter for the preview, it's no where to be found.  I've even tried embedding the text to see if that would help!  Kinda freakin' out here, so any help would be great.  Does anyone know why this is happening?
I'm using Flash Professional CS5 with an ActionScript 3.0 file.
    Kindest Regards,

post a link to your .fla and i'll take a look

  • Help regding... Checking system landscape during the Project Preparation

    Hello All,
While I was creating a project using SolMan, I came across the "System Landscape --> Systems" tab, where I found an option to check the system landscape by clicking on the "System Landscape" button.
By clicking on that button I was able to check whether a valid logical component is assigned to various systems like ECC, CRM, KW, etc. Initially I just had an ECC system alone in the system landscape. Hence was able to see a logical component being assigned under the ECC system.
But after some time, when I checked the system landscape using the same "System Landscape" button in the "System Landscape-->Systems" tab, I was not able to find the logical component that has been assigned to the ECC System.
But the RFC is still enabled and I was able to navigate to the ECC system from SolMan.
Am I missing something? What is this "System Landscape" button for? Please provide me some insight into this issue.
    Thanks a lot in advance.
    best rgds,
    Alagammai.

  • Project Preparation

Does anyone have information or can refer me to somewhere
that i can learn about best practices when beginning a Flash
Animation Presentation? It seems my work has been utilizing me more
and more to create 1-2 minute sales/advertising Flash animations
for the company. So i'm wanting to learn how to properly plan out
the work-flow, when i should use After Effects, how to incorporate
animations, transitions, etc. Any help in the right direction is
    greatly appreciated. Thanks!

FLASH itself was too overwhelming for me...so, I started out
    using Swish for
a few years just to get the idea together...
Now, I am starting to get it.

  • IMovie11 "preparing project"

    Hi,
When I export my iMovie project 11 (about 1 hour recording) to folder (movies) iMac - OS X Lion 10.7.5, iMovie starts "preparing the project" (this is the way I learned when I want to export video for my Pro miDVD). However, iMovie spends on average 5 hours. It's a long time! My videos in HD with Sony's mini-cassette, are performed by a Canon Vixia HV30 - HDV.
Why does it take so long this "project preparation"?
    Thanks,
    Gionei

    Thanks for the reply.
I figured out the issue and it was with iDVD and that, unlike iMovie HD, which integrates with iDVD, iMovie '08 and '09 do not, so iMovie now has to export the completely rendered movie before iDVD can use it. Also, when you Share the movie with iDVD, it defaults the new iDVD project to you user folder, and then imports the entire iMovie video into the iDVD project. So, that is why all my system HDD space was disappearing.
So, I guess the best thing to do, if I use iMovie to create the video, is export the final movie to the scratch drive, and then create a new iDVD project (saved to the Scratch drive) and then drag the exported movie into iDVD.
My only problem with this method is that my chapter marks get lost on the export (same as XML). Is there an option to export a movie and maintain the chapters in the video (a la FCP export)?
The main reason I am using iMovie is that I am walking through others that only have iMovie to work with, so using FCP is not an option.
    Thanks.
