Ascending Decending Sort order for the inbox search

We want to change the sorting for some the fields in the inbox in the ascending or decdending order. Currenty seems to us that we cannot fix the  "order by" (Ascending or descending)  for Sort.
Has any one experienced this if yes please advice.

There is a badi for Inbox, CRM_IC_INBOX_BADI. In thsi you have a method CUSTOM_HITLIST_SORT. Here you get the structure which contains the data. Now for which evere condition you want to change the sort or add a new sorting parameter you can do it here.

    It would be fantastic if there were a user defined preference for a default sort order in Library view. For example, some users may prefer to always view the images by File Name, or Rating, etc, without having to change the sort order for each individual folder they view via Lightroom.

    Thanks for your suggestion Allan, but it doesn't work.
    I'm specifically referring to the defaults that Aperture 3 adopts when you use the "File, Import, Folders as Projects with the projects and albums setting.
    What I'm finding is regardless of the setting in the Library preferences, the default sort order for the project is Date and Manual for the album.
    Yet if I create a project manually the default sort order is as per the Library prefs. Strange.

  • Problem with the Inbox search of IC Web Client

    Hi Friends,
    Iam working on the Inbox search of the IC Web client.
    For the Inbox search, in the view AuiItems.htm, I have added two fields Main Reference Object and Account.
    But when I click on search, in the result list all the values except these two which I added. In the result list Iam getting the values as NULL for these two newly added fields. What could be the reason for this and how to solve this??

    You can link user statuses to inbox status under customizing
    Interaction Center WebClient --> Agent Inbox --> Inbox Search Definitions --> Define Inbox Status.
    Here you can delete system status and add user statuses.
    After adding user status ,you need to map inbox status to element status in Customizing for Customer Relationship Management by choosing Interaction Center WebClient --> Agent Inbox --> Map Element Attributes to Inbox Attributes --> Map Element Status to Inbox Status.
    Read documentation on Map Element Status to Inbox Status customizing entry.
    You dont have make changes to the code for this customization.

    We're generating a Simplified Chinese WebHelp system using Robohelp 10 and we need to change the sort order in the Search results so that it follows the pinyin order instead of "Y, Z, M, T" (Referring to 仪,准,美,通). Is there a way to do this?

    I sort of found a workaround, but it may lead to other problems, so use it at your own risk.
    It also requires a bit of work.
    The idea is to use the sort order for Japanese by specifying the following in the IX reference page.

  • Searching for Sales Order for the given Customer PO Number Pattern in BAPI

    Hi,
         I have developed a BAPI which retrieves all the Sales Orders for a given Customer (Sold-To). The Following are the Input Parameters given in the Function Module (RFC).
    Customer Number (Mandatory)
    From Date (Optional)
    To Date (Optional)
    Sales Order Number(Optional)
    Customer PO Number(Optional)
    Now, when the Customer PO Number is populated, it will come as a Pattern, say 9ab* and I need to retrieve all the Sales Orders with PO Number starting with 9ab.
    When I am trying to retrieve, it is giving different set of output based on the Case specified in the Customer PO Number Pattern. Lets say, if I give 9ab, I get 200 Records but if I give 9AB, I get only 5 to 6 Records.
    As I have understood from the Standard Transaction VA03, it has a Search Help VMVAA which retrieves all the Sales Orders for the given PO Number pattern irrespective of the Case, that is Lower Case, Upper Case or Mix of Upper and Lower Case.
    I can see the Code in the Search Help Exit but couldn't find useful piece of code which I can implement in my BAPI to simulate the same.
    Can somebody help me on this?

             I think you did not understand what my problem is. What I mean to say is, for Customer X, the PO Number could be 9abc and for Customer Y, the PO Number Could be 9ABC.
           So, according to your logic, if I translate it to Upper Case, it will give the Sales Order details of Customer Y to Customer X.
          And more over, SAP stores the PO Number as it is entered in the Sales Order Screen (VA01).
        What if the Customer PO Number for Customer X is 9aBcDeFgH? and the PO Number for Customer Y is 9AbCdEf?

    When I sync my music video's the appear in Track order in the video app and I cannot find how to change the sort order to 'by Artist' (or any other order come to that).

    It seems that if I specify the sort order for Simplified Chinese (pinyin) on the reference page,
    index entries that start with "i" and "v" are not shown under their corresponding group titles.
    (I assume that this may be due to the fact that pinyin words never start with these letters.)
    If I have an entry that starts with an English word like "IP," it appears under the "J" group.
    I want the entry to appear under the "I" group. How can I do this?

    Could anyone give me some indication on how I would go about setting the default sort order for a table?
    I have a table with a few columns, and dataset returns in a particular order, but my table decides to sort if in any given order until I manually click on the column header and sort it.

    As Chris says, the easiest way and best re-use way is to use the order-by clause in your underlying model layer SQL query. For instance in ADF BC this would be in a View Object's query.
    However as you haven't dictated your model layer technology, there is another way in JDev 11g. In your web page that contains the ADF Faces RC table, select the binding tab at the bottom of the page, then double click on the iterator in the binding page, and in the Edit Iterator Binding dialog, select the Sort Criteria tab. This allows you to override the sort order on the iterator's columns.

  • Sort Order for Legend and X Axis

    Does anyone know of a way to keep a specific sort order for both the X Axis and the Legend. Both start with numbers and I can get one or the other to sort correcly on the chart but not both. Biggest problem is not all of the legend items are in the first X Axis item so the colors change on the bar graph depending on the legend items in the first X Axis item.

    If you tie bar colors with values, how you will differentiate the bars for different legends.
    Take an example, there are three columns Employee, Location and salery have following values
    Employee Location Salery
    A London 30000
    B Chicago 40000
    C London 50000
    D Chicago 60000
    if we keep Location as Legend and Employee in X Axis, and sort Legend first then Employee. Set Blue for Chicago and Red for London, First two blue bars for A and C will be displayed and then two red bars for B and D will be displayed. Order in X axis will be A,C,B and D. This is not in sequence but this is the way it will and it should work. If you sort by Employee instead if Location, you will get sequence in X axis, but the same colored bars wont be together.

    I am a help writer who is working with both development and a localization vendor to create localized javahelp. I am the most knowledgeable about javahelp, which is not saying much. It has come to me to figure out how to establish the correct sort order for Simplified Chinese and Japanese language Index and Glossary navigators, Could someone explain to me how this is done outside of tools like RoboHelp (which has caused us major headaches yet seems to be the only way the vendor knows how to do JavaHelp).     Same issue here, and the bug syncs to my iPhone, so when I want to quickly text or e-mail someone, their phone numbers and e-mail addresses appear in the wrong order, Work or Home before iPhone or Mobile. How can we get this big fixed in the next Snow Leopard update?

    All you do is hold down on any of the icons for a few seconds and they will start wiggling. You can then move them to your hearts content, either on the same page or to different pages. Just press the HOME button to return to normal mode.

    Loglevels are not configured in Siebel Tools. You have to configure them with the siebel client. You can find a parameter at "Administration - Server Configuration / Server / Events"
    Search for "Inbox General Log Events". Set this parameter to 5. It think this should help you.

  • Sorting order for Highlights, Shadows, Whites and Blacks controls.

    I absolutely love the new set of controls as compared to the similar options in LR3.  With just these 6 controls and a few seconds I can get my image looking great.  One thing is making me crazy though, the four controls are logically sorted "Whites, Highlights, Shadows, Blacks" in terms of the range that they impact.  If the controsl were sorted as I suggested, I would be able to think through the problem of fixing a particular image more efficiently.
    Has this been discussed or considered?

    The current sort order of the sliders in LR4b is not necessarily just an order-of-operations that is being thrust upon Lightroom users.  The rationale is that the controls follow an order which, in most cases for most photographs, flows from the most global adjustments to the most specific.  It's more than just an arbitrary ordering based on "what Adobe says we ought to do first".
    The truth is, while I understand Adobe's reasoning here, I really don't care what order the sliders end up in.  Why?  Because it really doesn't matter all that much, at all.  I mean, think about it.  Let's say that the current order of the sliders in LR4b makes it to the final version.  Are users going to keep using Lightroom 3 in protest?  No.  Are users going to keep all their photos in PV2010 expressly because they simply can't handle the order of the sliders in PV2012?  No.  The reason that nobody will go to such lengths is that it's reallly just not that important.  This is an exceptionally minor issue of personal preference that has less weight and importance than the hard drive space at Adobe used to store all of the threads that have popped up in complaint of the slider order.
    I know that everyone vehemently arguing against the current slider order will whole-heartedly disagree... but I simply had to put in my two-cents.  The issue of slider order is so miniscule that I cannot fathom why so much has already been written about it.
