Aseet Data maintenance with out G/L Accounts

Hi ,
One of our clients is moving out from SAP to Pepolesoft. But they still want to maintain all the Asset Data with values in SAP only. They also want to run depreciation in SAP, but nothing should get posted in SAP. After running AFAB, system should interface to PS.
Is it possible to maintain Master in SAP with out G/L Accounts( But values should be captured in SAP ) and run AFAB with out G/L Account assignment in the Asset Masters ?

Thanks for the valuable inputs. But there are few more clarifications in this regard.
a) Interface to peoplesoft is secondary thing. We will be interfacing all the data including G/L, AR, AP, Assets to PS at later point of time. Hence this is not to be a concern at this point of time.
b) Now that, we have already posted entries in Asset Accounting in 2008 & 2009, we need to continue Asset Accouting for year 2010. But unless we close 2008, we cant use 2010.
Hence my concern is how to open 2010, with out cloising 2008. or can we run dcepreciation for 2008, with out posting any entries in SAP, so that once we run depreciation for all the periods in 2008, we can close that and open 2010.

why would you do that? whats your requirement?
You can use sql commands (I prefer doing it via brtools),
example
alter tablespace <name of the tablespace> add datafile '<path of the datafile>' size <size in Mb>M autoextend <on/off> next <size> maxsize <size>;

How to access two oracle data base with out DB link

I have two data base schema
one is held in oracle 10g and the other in 11g ,Currently i am using DB link to access both the database. i am accessing around 70 tables using DB link.
As per new requirement i have to remove DB link ,is there any other way i can access both database with out DB link.

The target database can implement PL/SQL web services. These can be called via HTTP.

I just know 5 first number in a line is for example "ID of bank"
or 6th and 7th number in a line is for example "ID of employee"

This is a fixed file format. We need to know the length of each field before creating the format file. Say you have said the first 5 characters are Bank ID and 6th to 7th as Employee ID ... then the XML should look like,

Creating a PO with out hitting any Accounts

Hi Gurus,
We have a business scenario where they accept goods from different companies for free (like donations) and we have to accept them and take them into our inventory.
One of our approach was to create a PO and then create a GR with reference to a PO. But the issue was, in this process some of the accounts are getting hit, which the client dont want. only revenue account has to hit and the material should get updated in the warehouse.
Our second thought was to create a PR and send the PR to the donor and while creating a GR using 501 (without PO). but here the end user has to do a lot of updations in the GR document (for example if they have 100 line items the work is going to be tedious)
Any thoughts of work around for this kind of scenarios would be highly appreciated.

u have 2 options
create amterial master with price control indicator standrd and maintin the price of mateirial in account view now create a po with free line itme and do the gr now in this case sytem will create a accounting document and it post the amount to the stock account Dr.
and no gr/ir account hit will happen as it is a free itme so there is no question of paying any amount to vendor
u can also use movement type 511 to do the gr for that free good
option 2 create am material with moving average price in this case if u do the gr then system will not create any account document but point to note here is the price will become then zero in material master as map means latest price is updated in matreial master

I have a situation where the invoice is not released to accounting , but credit memo request and credit memos are being raised...now user would like to release the invoice to accounting (after raising credit note request and credit note), is it possible how do i handle this,
(There is no delivery as this is service business scenario).

Go to 'VFX3' and give the inputs, then select right line and click the FLAG option. It will be manually released to accounting, If not you might find the reason for block.
Revert back with your results.

Based on business you can use the standard and custom RF transactions with help of RF guns also. Eg. using lean WM.

According to your description, I assume you have forgotten the administrator’s password. If you have another administrator account, you can use it to reset the password.
If you don’t have another administrator account, then there is no Microsoft recommended way to reset passwords due to security considerations.

LabVIEW created .DAT file with saving only new data on existing files

I can successfully create and save a .DAT file using LabView and Diadem. The save command I am using (in Labview) only overwrites existing files, I would like it to save only the new data from the last save. Overall I would like to save the data every 1hr and since my test will last for many hours, the further along in the test the longer it would take to save the full file. I know Diadem has the capability to save in such a manner, so I have thought about after I write to Diadem have a small Diadem application save periodically, but I haven't found a way to save the .DAT file, with out any signals coming into the save function. I have attached the example .DAT file creater and saver I am using to figure it out. thanks for your help!

I am not sure if you are looking to append to a file, or if you would
like to overwrite a file. In either case, you can take a look at
the "Append To File.vi" example for DIAdem.
Either way, you may be experiencing problems because you are only using
the "DIAdem Simple File Write.vi" (found on the DIAdem >> DAT
Files palette). Instead, you can use the "DIAdem File Write.vi"
(located on teh DIAdem >> DAT Files >> DAT Files Advanced
palette). This VI can be set to overwrite or append to file.

Defining input message Type for webservice interface with out input

I am configuring a scenario RFC -> XI -> Webservice. My sync webservice doesnot need any input. it genrates a random number which needs to be sent back to the RFC. How can i define an input message data type with out any data? As the interface requires both input and output data types in XI?
I tried a dummy data type with a single string input and didn't map it. but its not working because of name space issues. i specified a seperate XML name space in Message Type but i get a Target URL as the name space in the request which i provided in the SOAP reciever adapter.
Any help will be appriciated

Can u chk the webservice request using test tools like stylus studio or xml spy and ensure that the same request is going out of XI .
make sure that you have changed the default xml namesapce in the target MT.

Hello, when our phones were purchased the wife set up both to her itunes account, We have since set up 2 laptops, and now have setup my own itunes account on that laptop. How do I change the phone account to match, Do I loose data? at the moment there are no apps or music or docs, but I dont want to loose messages, or contacts. We have turned of auto sync on itunes on the laptop. So I need to backup the phone, then do a ios upgrade to the phone as I am on v6.1.3 The wifes is all up to date on her laptop, but mine is so far behind and I am nervous about taking the next step. Do you mean iTunes library?
iTunes account is what you use to make iTunes purcahses.
iTunes library is what is on your computer.

No, it tells you it can only be sync'd with one iTunes library.
Simplest way is to copy the entire /Music/iTunes/ folder (thisis the iTunes library) from old computer to new computer.
