Why is it that i can no longer browz with my asha 200?

Does something happen to your phone prior to this issue? Have you tried to restart it? Did you try to contact your service provider to check if your subscription to the internet is still active? You may also reinsert the SIM card to another phone to see if the same issue will occurs.

Problem with Nokia Asha 200 apps

Hello guys,
I am using Nokia Asha 200 and i am quite satisfy with this phone. The only drawback that i can find is that i cannot ue it social prebuild apps, like Social and i cannot use the e-mail app as well.
When i open them and accept the license, i am waiting for the software to connect to internet and update it self's, but this never happen. I tried to wait for the apps to finish with there updates but after 10 minutes of inactivity it become clear that it will never happened.
In comparison when i am using the Nokia Web Browser i don't have any problems with opening web pages. The difference between the browser and the apps is that when i browse i see on the top left part of the screen the "E" symbol which indicates that the phone is connected to Edge network, but when i use Social, E-mail or even other apps i had downloaded from Ovi store i am not able to use them. For instance most apps i had download indicate me network connectivity problems. The only app i can use with my 3G internet is Nokia browser.
My software version is:10.58.

You have two options to resolve the issue:
Update the phone's software.
Ask for the configuration settings from your network provider.
Before updating, use Nokia Suite to back up your phone. You can be sure that your contacts, messages, calendar entries, tasks, web feeds, and other important stuff are backed up safely. The contents of your phone memory and memory card, such as photos and videos, are safe and won’t be affected during the update.

To update your phone software, you can follow the steps below:

Click Install to start the installation. During the installation, Nokia Suite takes you through the following steps:
Get started
Back up (recommended)
Install
Restore (optional)
Finish
Please do not disconnect your phone until the installation is completely finished. Doing so might cause damage to your phone or result in its contents being lost.

my asha 200 has totally been disorganised,the social apps nolonger works and i can nolonger access the internet using my phone,the homescreen is faulty and some apps keep freezin,i tried to update the software but it tells me no software and no software provider available؛pliz help

i cant update my phone's software. nokia asha 200.

hey even when i try to update my nokia asha 200, the nokia suite suddenly stops working...
and also i since i've purchased the mobile,i m unable to access the web....i have tried several sim cards...
but still i cannot access the internet via any app...

Connect your phone to a computer & select Nokia Suite mode. If you do not have Nokia Suite on your pc you can download it from here. Now open the Nokia Suite & click on the “green icon of arrow pointing downwards”.
If any updates are available they will be shown in ‘green’. If not you may reinstall the current version. Reinstall option is shown in ‘blue’. If no option to reinstall is shown, please wait for sometime it will become visible. Then the Nokia Suite will download the new software version of the phone. After it you will be prompted to take a complete back up of the device content. Please do not skip this step as reinstallation will erase all the personal data from the phone like contacts, messages, calendar entries etc.
Please note that if you have set a memory card password & you have forgotten its code then take a backup of the card data also as the card will be locked after update and can only be unlocked if you enter the correct code or by ways mentioned in this thread.
Also note that while updating the device ensure the following things-
The device is full charged.
The internet connection Is of good speed & has a backup in case of power loss.
The PC should also be connected to back up power source as if the process is interrupted the phone may go dead. More on update failure & its remedies here.
Please do not run any resource intensive programs in the background while updating as it may freeze the PC which in turn will lead to a dead device.
Ignore all the windows pop-up notifications about device being disconnected.DO NOT DISCONNECT THE PHONE UNTIL UPDATE IS COMPLETED.
It will be better if you disable security keyguard & PIN code request before proceeding with Update/Reinstallation.
If your phone shows test mode then do not panic & DO NOT REMOVE the cable, let the update process complete.
If any problem persists please visit the nearest authorised Nokia Care Centre.

HellKing, could you double-check with FlashTester.org, please? You have to put that URL into an SMS, save that as draft, and then click on it (this open the native Internet browser). Then, you can check the version.

Asha 200 firmware v11.95 problem

Hallo. I have a nokia asha 200 and i made firmware update from v11.56 to v11.95,and now the romanian language seems to missing. The update was made by Nokia Suite v3.8.30. Is there any possibility to recover my romanian language? Thanks.

You have to flash a complete different ‘product code’, a code which contains your desired language. Because you need software which is copyright protected by Nokia, only to be used in their service support channels, we are not allowed to give you any links to it. However, you find on the Internet.

Asha 200 and whatsapp

The only limitation to using whatsapp on asha 200 is because of the background connect which is not available on this phone, i cant imagine how smaller phones like nokia 2700c can have background connect and asha 200 cant... plz guy the only way u can satisfy we ur customers is by updating a software that will enable background connect.

The issue of whatsapp on nokia asha 200,, really u can have whatsapp on ur asha 200 manually.. Follow the steps
find a person that his/her phone support whatsapp then, make sure the application ison his/her phone memory, then insert your memory card into the phone and copy the app to your memory card then insert it back to your asha 200 it will surely work 100%..... But the only prob is that whenever you hide the application,,it will automatically be disconnected from the internet and you wont be able to recieve messages until you open it again bcos nokia asha 200 does nt support connections in background (background connect). I bought a Nokia Asha 200 and i have come to realise that it is only the Nokia Browser that can use the internet.
All other apps like opera mini,social,shazam,game gift cant work
I really need your help with this thanks.

Thank you for posting and welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions!
We'd like to know what exactly is happening to your phone. As you stated, Internet connection is working properly with the Nokia Browser only However, when you open the other applications you mentioned, are you getting any error message? Do the apps open or they just keep on loading and log out back to the Menu?
Here are some steps that you may try to fix the issue:
1. Restart the phone. Don't forget to remove and replace the back cover and the battery before restarting.
2. Restore Factory Settings. Check this link for the steps: Restore-Factory-Settings .
3.Update or reinstall phone software. Check for available software updates using Nokia Suite and install them into the phone. Check this link for the instructions: nokia.com/softwareupdate .
If there is no update available, look for the 'Reinstall' option in Nokia Suite under SW Updates, and then Device Software.
4.Perform a full reset. Consider this as your last option if all the previous steps failed. This will erase all user data and making a backup is advised. Check this link for the steps: Create-a-Backup.
To fully reset the phone, follow step 2 but select 'Restore All Settings' instead of 'Settings only'.

Facebook App not working in Asha 200

I have tried installing the facebook app into nokia asha 200 but never i have been sucessfull in starting the app sucessfully, anybody got a fix for this, pls let me know ...

Are you getting any error message? Is the internet connection up and running? Is the behavior the same upon installing another application?

How can I remove .nrw files from my NOKIA Asha 200...

When I am connecting my NOKIA Asha 200 with my PC by data cable, I am watching almost 50 nos. *.nrw files inside the Image folder. I tried to delete all those file, but I was unable. Is there any one, who can tell me how to remove those files from my phone memory?

Back-up your data and then Factory Reset your phone ...(Menu-->Settings-->Restore Factory settings-->Settings only.. followed by 12345 which is default security code, unless set by you) .. When the phone reboots, check whether these .nrw files are now converted to .jpg .. If so, you should be able to delete them now ...

Whatsapp for nokia asha 200

As there are many dual sim phones in market which supports whatsapp, i want to give advice or suggestion to nokia developer community that they should make asha 200 compatible for whatsapp as in asha 201 in there next software update. It doesn't matter with single sim or dual sim. Nokia have got the best engineers and they must satisfy their customers and i request them to. I am waiting.

You have to contact Whatsapp for that as only they can make that happen.

Asha 200 Software Update Problem

I use an Asha 200 cellphone with software version being v10.58. At some times, I tried updating the software to the latest version using the Device Update Command in my phone, but got a message that "Update not allowed; contact service provider". At other times, I get a message "No new software available". What should I do?

Software updates vary by region/product code/network locked or unlocked status. It may be possible that the update has not yet been approved from the operator.
