Hi, this is my first post n i reeally need sum help..iv previously had nokia 201 on vodaphone network i wanted more memory on the phone so got a mini sd 2 store everything on..then the mob crashed doesnt get passed the intro wen i turn it on just goes off..so i bought same phone this time im on tesco mobile network n iv put SD card in 2 save its memory onto new mob n its locked askin 4 password 2 unblock it but i never set one on it does any1 know wot i maybe doin wrong? Wot should i try doin? Is there a default password 4 mini san disk hd that i could try if not have i lost all my saved files/memory? Plz help...

If this is for a Nokia Asha 201 as well, you can use any micro-SD cards up to 32 GB which are formatted using FAT file system. You can purchase one from any well-known manufacturer.
Let us know if this is for another phone model so we can further search for the right information to share.

Hi im using a Nokia asha 201 but each time i open my opera Mini browser it keeps on telling me, Error, Out of memory. And i have a memory card but after some time my device automatically gets full.i dont knw what fills it up..
HELP

You have to only look for those apps/games which work for you and delete which don't work.
The problem could be because of low memory of the phone or problem in the game itself.

Video downloading website for asha 201

I have asha 201. Before downloading any video(song,trailer etc) from some websites, my handset shows a message "This application is not from a trusted supplier". Can I download video from this type of Untrusted supplier? If not, then plz give me some addresses of trusted supplier.

Remove the microSD, then a Nokia 201 calculates the internal memory correctly. If that does not help, go for Menu » Apps » Gallery » Options » Memory status » Free memory: if you have less than 2  MB, you have to clean the internal memory (or their is a hardware failure).

Asha 201 restarting

I bought my asha 201 three months ago and it was working fine until last month when it started restarting frequently plus my mail app also stopped working. I've restored the factory settings but the problem is still there. It's really making me sad cos it restarts very very often especially when i'm using it

Backup data from the memory card to pc, format it copy data back. Check if the problem resolved.

Asha 201 Mail & Music ?

I recently purchased a Nokis Asha 201 using PAYG/Orange simcard, everything is working fine except the following:-
Mail - When selecting "accept" to accept terms & privacy policy then searches for "mail service updates" but just continuously searches with no end result, even after letting it search for over 2 hours nothing ?
Music - When trying to listen to music off the memory card it does not play the songs, it says"valid licence not available" and "unable to open file"
Please can you help either or both of my queries, thanks in advance.

Email doesn't work, could be because of wrong internet setting, you can find solution here
Music file licence issue, AFAIK, this could be because of DRM(Digital Rights Management), it means once the copyright protected file is downloaded to a phone, it can only be played on that device and not on another device or cannot be sent via bluetooth.
Once after phone software reinstall or hard reset, the file on your phone when played might show "valid licence not available".

From where do you download the JADs?
Can you give us an example URL?

Hard reset asha 201

Hello, I have tried hard resetting my Nokia asha 201 with key combination (the only way I can do it). I used shift+backspace+space+red/drop call; and tried 3+*+green/pick up call+red/drop call while turning on phone. But none of them seem to work. What is the key combination to hard reset it?

Attention please..
Guys there's many post in our discussion board about the question of Asha 201's "You Tube" video streaming. And the only one answer was Asha 201 can't stream video.
But now it is wrong. You can "Watch Video" of You Tube in your Asha 201 phone by "YouTubeSearch" app.
Just go to Nokia Ovi Store --- Type "YoutubeSearch" in the search box --- and download it.
It is a very small app, so download if really want to watch video of You tube.

Asha 201 Concern

I m using a nokia asha 201. It recently stoped functioning when i click on the internet and mail icons on the main menu. The store icon on the menu has dissapeared and the store in the my app list says invalid application! I only connect to the internet via operamini.... I need a way to fix this as the opera mini might get corrupted also. I tried even restoring it to factory setting bt it didnt work

When you click on the mail and internet widgets, does it display any error message? Let's try to isolate the issue. To confirm if you have a working internet connection, please go to your phone browser and access any website. By the way, how did you perform restore the phone's factory settings? Have you tried to check if there's an update available for your device? If none, you can reinstall the software using the Nokia Suite:
1. Go to Software update section of the Nokia Suite
2. Check for any available update for your device
3. If there's none, you should be able to see the highlighted word "reinstall". Click on it to start the process.

Opera Mini - Nokia Asha 201

I have just lost my opera mini on my nokia asha 201 phone on the menu screen....how can i get it back on the menu screen please help????

Just to verify, do you want to personalize the home screen? Have you tried checking if the Home Screen Mode on your phone? You can try to check this by going to Menu > Settings > Home Screen > Home Screen Mode > On. After checking that, you can also go to Personalize view > Shortcut Bar > you will see a cog icon beside it > Add on the shortcuts tab the "Apps and games." This contains the Opera Mini Application.
