Asha 201 music sorting problem

i am not able to sort the music on my asha 201 by album name i have huge mp3 music files on my 32 gb card i used mp3 tag software and give unique name for album but when go to media player and album option i dint find that album name instead i gives many artist name multiple times i have updated the library also but no luck can anyone have the solution please ???

After long time i figure out the solution....Edit ID3 tags, create new map on SD card with different name then refresh library

Music Sort Problems

Just recently bought a BB Curve . I picked up a 2GB(enough for me) MicroSD. Well when I got the sd card in it and threw a few songs on it. It worked fine the first time. Music was moved into the Music folder, unplugged the BB from computer, and everything was fine. The media player tracked all my artist and album tags. Which was great except I had several without tag info(Unknown). So I cleared the folder and prepared a larger play list of only WMA's and MP3's with proper tags.(Bout 1.8GB of legal copied CD's from Media Player and Itunes<-converted to mp3.) Anyways after about an hour or two Roxxio finished moving all the music to the drive. Unplug the BB and go into media player. Only this time it had no sort options at all. If you went to Album/Artist it says (Unknown) which brings up a list of all songs.
I figured I may have changed the conversion in Roxxio and that might have caused it. So I tried again with different conversion settings. Again hours later same problem.
Not sure what the problem might be. Any help would be appreciated as 1.8GB of music is too hard to navigate without the sort features.

I find it far easier to enable mass storage mode on the BlackBerry and copy music to the SD card from Windows Explorer.

Downloaded music sorting problem!!!

What should be one album is divided into several, with tracks 1-5 on one, 6-10 on another, etc. but all the info for each album is the same! How do I consolidate the songs so they all show up under the same album?

The Sort field should be the answer to your problem.
You will have to right-click the tracks one at a time > Get Info > Sorting tab and enter the following information in the Sort Name field.
For 99 Red Balloons - aaaama
For An Honest Mistake - An Honest Mistake
For A Town Called Hypocrisy - A Town Called Hypocrisy
For The Bird And The Worm - The Bird And The Worm
For The Reason - The Reason
iTunes will continue to display the information as it did but now sort it according to the entries you have entered.

Asha 201 chat app problem

Please i cant no more access or open the Nokia chat application for ovi, Facebook and so on.
Anyway i also want to know if you can help me with an alternative option

Have you tried browsing the web? If yes, re-installing the applications (those that are not working/opening) that you downloaded from Nokia Store is what I can suggest. If the applications came pre-installed, you can try re-installing the software of the phone using Nokia Suite.

Asha 201 Mail & Music ?

I recently purchased a Nokis Asha 201 using PAYG/Orange simcard, everything is working fine except the following:-
Mail - When selecting "accept" to accept terms & privacy policy then searches for "mail service updates" but just continuously searches with no end result, even after letting it search for over 2 hours nothing ?
Music - When trying to listen to music off the memory card it does not play the songs, it says"valid licence not available" and "unable to open file"
Please can you help either or both of my queries, thanks in advance.

Email doesn't work, could be because of wrong internet setting, you can find solution here
Music file licence issue, AFAIK, this could be because of DRM(Digital Rights Management), it means once the copyright protected file is downloaded to a phone, it can only be played on that device and not on another device or cannot be sent via bluetooth.
Once after phone software reinstall or hard reset, the file on your phone when played might show "valid licence not available".

Guys there's many post in our discussion board about the question of Asha 201's "You Tube" video streaming. And the only one answer was Asha 201 can't stream video.
But now it is wrong. You can "Watch Video" of You Tube in your Asha 201 phone by "YouTubeSearch" app.
Just go to Nokia Ovi Store --- Type "YoutubeSearch" in the search box --- and download it.
It is a very small app, so download if really want to watch video of You tube.

Asha 201 OUT OF MEMORY

Hi im using a Nokia asha 201 but each time i open my opera Mini browser it keeps on telling me, Error, Out of memory. And i have a memory card but after some time my device automatically gets full.i dont knw what fills it up..

You have to only look for those apps/games which work for you and delete which don't work.
The problem could be because of low memory of the phone or problem in the game itself.

Music library problem

I have a problem. I want albums from the same artist in a chronological order. So I sort "album by year". But now I have 2 albums ( Another side of Bob Dylan & The Times They Are A-Changin' both from 1964) But the problem is: The Times they are a changin was released before Another Side, but because they're both drom 1964 Another Side of Bob Dylan comes first in my iTunes list. That's because of alphabetical reasons, but it should come after The Times They Are A-Changin' because it was later released. How to do?

Which version of iTunes are you using? With v7.3 and later, you can use the Sorting Tab in Get Info for the album to change the sort order. Then have The Times They Are A-Changin' name sorted as Z The Times They Are A-Changin' or something of that sort.
I still use v7.0.2 so sorry if my details above are not correct, but you should be able to use the sort field somehow to fix this. See this article...

Asha 201 Time and Date remains on set value - not ...

I use a Nokia Asha 201 as a backup handset, so it is not used very often. Recently when i needed to use and after i charged it (the charge had run down) i set the time and date to the current time and date. i noticed a few minutes later that the clock had not progressed, it was still showing the time i set and saved it to. upon setting the time again i noticed that it was also not dispalying the date and time on the hoem screen as it always did, with all the settings still the same. it only shows "-------------" on the home screen. up to now it still appears that the clock (time and date) does not progress but remains showing the values i set it to. when accessing some of the other apps, i receive a prompt to set the date and time. Restored it to factory default settings a few times and reinstalled updates/firmware as well, with no success. Any advice please?

I am using asha 201. I want to know , is Asha 201 not support "Live TV" .
In Menu, I Go to ,Setting>configaration setting>personal configration setting>Add new.
But there is no any "My Streaming" option .

Exactly. You have to buy a Nokia which offers this Streaming. Some older, now cheaper Nokia phones do. That technology is called RTSP, actually. And that is the next problem: The one who broadcasts your TV or streaming media must support RTSP. YouTube does. Only very few others do. Therefore you might be better off with an Android device or Apple iPhone.

Asha 201 restarting

I bought my asha 201 three months ago and it was working fine until last month when it started restarting frequently plus my mail app also stopped working. I've restored the factory settings but the problem is still there. It's really making me sad cos it restarts very very often especially when i'm using it

Backup data from the memory card to pc, format it copy data back. Check if the problem resolved.
