Asha 501- can't take call using earphone

while i'm listening to the music, I can't take the call using the earphone microphone button. Instead I need to manually swipe the screen down and answere the call.
Also, I can't switch the radio stations or audio tracks with the button on the earphone. Its very annoying.

I just found out that Nokia Asha 501 is fully compatible with Samsung headset. You can use the full feature of Samsung headset to control music. Play, skip track, stop, increase/decrease vol., call and answer calls. cool! So trash that red thing in the box and grab a Samsung headset for a full music and call control. I tried on my S3 headset.

Iphone is locked with pass code but still we can make a call using voice control

If our iphone is locked with pass code we can make a call using voice control.
Press and Hold the Home button then you will get the Voice Control Menu.
Choose Dial or Call then you can make call.
Is it IOS Bugs or...

It is a feature.
You can disable it at Settings > General > Passcode > Voice Dial if you wish.

while trying to switch between the browser and music player, I can't get the same old browser page where I was left. Instead it starts frm beginning. Not only music players, if I want to check any other app or info on my mob I can't return to the same browser where I was left.
Is there any way to avoid such thing.

Asha 501 can't fetch large MMS

My Nokia Asha will not receive pictures that are over a certain size limit.
If I send a large photo to the Asha 501, it says "Can't download message."
If I send a small photo to the Asha 501, it has no trouble displaying the photo.
I have 64MBs of free space, so that can't be the problem.
How do I remove the size limit?

If I recall right, the general MMS size limit is set to 300k in Asha 501. And in some countries the size limit can be as low as 100k. Also network operators may have their own limits. Same size limits (300k or 100k) apply to both sending and receiving MMS messages.
Typically phones would compress/downscale the photos before sending them via MMS, so this wouldn't be a problem. But if the sending phone does not compress the photo (for reason or other), then you may indeed run into this situation.

Asha 501 - Can't set individual contact ring tone ...

I cannot see any profiles in my asha 501. I need to manually adjust every time the settings, I can only see the silent option beside the mobile data pack.
Also, can't set indiviual contact ringtone, not sure if other phones in asha series support this

I think you don't check the settings.
The option to set individual ringtone is possible in asha 501. Its an asha but can do MORE.
Go to a contact open it,swipe from down tap on edit and now again swipe from down and tap on ADD DETAILS and there u find a RINGTONE option select on that and choose your favourite one.

Asha 501 can't select image for contact list

Hi,
I cannot see any option to select the image for my contacts list. Is there any software available to select this..or need to wait for the future release of asha platform 1.

Hi,
just navigate to the contact you want to assign a picture.
Slide in the menu bar from the bottom of the screen and press "edit".
The contact details appear and in the top-left corner are the initials of the contact and a small "+" sign.
Press here (the whole corner is ok, no need to aim for the +) and you can chose a picture from the gallery.

Asha 501 - Can't disable camera shutter sound.

I'm unable to disable the camera shutter sould. I've tried to move the slide but it doesn't respond. tried many times. can't find any other option to disable.

Governments want the next person to know that he/she has been clicked so as to put an end to some of those Voyeur photography incidents.

My camera is not working I can not take photos, use the recorder or even I can not use the facetime's video mode. Is there anybody that can have the same problem and knows the solution?

Have you tried a rest or hard reset?
Hold your power button and your home button for about 15 seconds until you see the apple logo.
Ignore the power slider when you see it.

Can't make cellular calls using mac but can receive them

i can receive calls on my mac but can't make calls using continuity. i am using iOS 8.1 in my iPhone and i have double checked FaceTime option which shows i can make cellular calls using mac. Plzz Help
